*lol* Yeah, I could see how that'd be a problem. I've only got two OCs though (well, three when I count the one I made for mine and TK's RP, but I don't have that one completely worked out yet). And the only pic references I have for those two are Gaia avatars dressed to mimic my OCs... :XP

Well good artists are able to work up a drawing by descriptions enough alone. :XP Makes cooperation between OC creator and artist great so they can communicate what something looks like specifically. :XD
I've got very pretty arts from description alone of my one OC that's written down. I need to get around to putting down all the rest of my OC's to 'paper' so I can get arts of them as well. |
Mmm, the problem is that it seems like most of the artists here on Mene seem to primarily do chibis. While chibis are all fine and dandy, I'd prefer to have more realistic or anime-type art for my OCs. And it seems like the artists that do the realistic or anime-type art all have a minimal number of slots in their art shops (which are almost always full), don't draw OCs, don't draw males, or any combination of the above. :sweat:

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say that. I mean, if you can find an artist that's willing to do a group pic of all the OCs in a specific RP, the results can be quite amusing and (sometimes) endearing. ;) Especially if they can capture the essence of all of the characters. :yes: But, the rub comes when you have an RP that has a large cast of characters, larger than the number of subjects that the artist is willing to draw in a single pic.

Let's see... I DLed 26 eps of Persona, 13 eps of Futakoi, and I'm finishing up on a 13 ep block of Futakoi: Alternative (which seems to be a kind of sequel to Futakoi, but it apparently follows a different storyline).

Hmm Dimitri if you like anime art, you should see Aoi Midori's work. It's not chibi, but it is great art influenced by anime. I personally love her stuff. She has one of her paintings on the front page of her night owls thread, although it's one of her older works. She also may have her link to her actual art webpage... |
