:ninja: Boo. :P

I managed to survive another "fun"-filled day at work today. And how is everybody else tonight?

Clair Voyant 09-23-2009 10:37 PM

Clair survived a 2 and a half hour free for all at school. o.o

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-23-2009 10:50 PM

A free for all? For what?

Sorry about the delayed response. Went to eat dinner real quick. :P

Clair Voyant 09-23-2009 10:53 PM

Well, our classes were shortened to 45 minutes today (they're usually 80 minutes). We went through our first three classes, then for two and a half hours, students were allowed to wander to any part of the school, and the school grounds, have lunch whenever and wherever they chose, and it was disguised as a "College Fair". They had a bounce house-obstacle course and climbing walls. They also had many colleges there with stands and games, ect. for students to do. Most students didn't go to the college stands and played around. >.>

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-23-2009 10:57 PM

Ahh, one of those days, eh? I seem to recall having something similar to that back when I was in high school. But each branch of the military also had stands trying to get the kids to sign up for right after they graduated. :ninja:

Clair Voyant 09-23-2009 10:59 PM

 Kids already were signed up while in high school. We have a program called JROTC, which is like Mini-Army for kids. :D

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-23-2009 11:06 PM

Yeah, but I'm talking about really enlisting, not the "weekend warrior" stuff. ;) Not that I'm saying that there's anything wrong with being in the ROTC or JROTC. Just that I'm talking about the whole nine yards, so to speak.

Clair Voyant 09-23-2009 11:08 PM

Yeah, seriously they're really enlisting here this early now.

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-23-2009 11:11 PM

Well, they're always enlisting. ;) But I understand what you mean. It does actually seem pretty early to be hitting up students in senior year. I thought they had to wait until sometime in spring for that. :?

Clair Voyant 09-23-2009 11:13 PM

I know people who've been enlisted since freshman year.

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-23-2009 11:47 PM

 How in the world did you post without me noticing? I can't believe that happened.

Really? I've never known anybody to be enlisted that early. :XP

Clair Voyant 09-23-2009 11:48 PM

Yeah, it's been earlier since what America has gotten into.

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-23-2009 11:50 PM

Well, I've heard of registering with the military really early, but never enlisting that early. Even after 9/11.

Clair Voyant 09-23-2009 11:51 PM

I know... I just want the war to end. T_T

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-23-2009 11:52 PM

Oh, I'm sure that everybody wants the war to end in some fashion or another.

Clair Voyant 09-23-2009 11:54 PM

:( I support the army and America, but I don't support the war. T__T

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-24-2009 12:02 AM

I can understand that sentiment. Unfortunately, we aren't always the ones who are listened to. :XP

Clair Voyant 09-24-2009 12:06 AM

That's true. *sighs* T__T

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-24-2009 12:11 AM

I can tell you one thing, though, and that's the fact that I'm getting really sick of my screwed up sleeping schedule. I mean, I start getting pretty tired about this time every day (most likely because I haven't been sleeping well). But, if I go to bed early when I'm tired (like I did yesterday), then I only sleep for a few hours and then wake up. Not able to get back to sleep, I get up and watch a movie or something and hope that I can fall back asleep afterward.

However, if I force myself to stay up until 10:00 or so, then I can't fall asleep when I go to bed and only end up getting a few hours of sleep before I have to get back up to go to work.

Either way, I'm not getting enough sleep, and it's usually not a solid sleep. I'm about ready to go to Wal-mart or something and getting some Melatonin to help me get some decent sleep. :XP

Clair Voyant 09-24-2009 12:14 AM

I know a lot of people who take Malotonin.
I would take it too, but I'm too afraid to.

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-24-2009 12:17 AM

I used to take it every now and then, but I haven't taken any in a year or so.
Why are you afraid to take it?

Clair Voyant 09-24-2009 12:20 AM

I'm afraid of taking most meds.
I take meds sometimes for my headaches or if I pull a muscle, but, nothing more than motrin. I HATE codene. >.> And other meds make me feel weird.

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-24-2009 12:23 AM

Ahh, ok. I can understand that.

Just to let you know, though, Melatonin is supposed to be nothing more than natural herbs. I guess it could be considered more of a sleep-aid supplement rather than a medicine. At least, that's what I've heard, anyway.

Clair Voyant 09-24-2009 12:25 AM

I know it's natural, but it still freaks me out.
Natural for me is melatonin in my body is low and will always be.
When I have more in my system, I feel wrong.

Dimitri Bloodbane 09-24-2009 12:26 AM

Ahh, that makes sense.
