I have photoshop elements. I don't like it as much as what I had in school
|
@Helios: Ooo, I really like how you did the eyes for that Contessa sketch. <3
@Ultima: Aw. D: All the music you haven't been able to listen to all this time! @Kat: ...*makes you teach me how to use watercolors* /kidding |
D: Really? I haven't used it at all. I've been using photoshop CS4.
:D Thanks TK! I'm still working on making my drawings better. D: |
@all: Sorry for being so quiet. I'm eating dinner and talking to Aryah on the phone.
@TK: Eh, I can still listen to my music at home, since it's all on my laptop. And, I have a 6-disc in-dash CD changer in the car. I just can't listen to my music while I'm at work or when I'm driving my pickup. |
I use watercolor pencils a lot because they're easy to control. I've recently become obsessed with them
I don't use my ipod because I'm always online. hi aryah!!! |
XD I don't listen to music in the car anymore because I don't drive anymore. My boyfriend has to use my car because his car died.
I have this thing so I can play my zune in the car through the radio. :3 |
@Helios: Improving is such a never ending process. ^^; I tried Photoshop CS 3 once and was so overwhelmed by it. *sticks to 7* xD
@Ultima: You're fine. :3 I'm constantly switching to your picture to finish it. xD I might poof once it gets really close to the end just so I can knock it out! @Kat: I have a set of nice watercolor pencils I bought randomly...I've been too intimidated to use them. *is so weird* |
I learned on Cs 4 or 3 or something. so going down to elements 7, I realized that a lot of the things I used to do, I can't anymore.
I think the first thing I did with the pencils was color in some one elses line art that I printed out. |
@Kat: Do you just use them like colored pencils and add water?
|
I hear that, TK. I've been drawing since I was 11 years old. Lawls, I didn't really know what to do with photoshop when I first got it. D: I was so used to paint shop pro.
I've used a lot of different thigns to draw. I used to be real big into the whole want to be a manga-ka thing. I have the ink pens, copics and manga paper. XD |
I took a class on photoshop. it was reallly hard for me to take it all in.
I like to draw comics but I just doodle in my sketchbook. yeah, I use them like colored pencils though I like to do backgrounds using a lot of other techniques. |
I usually just learn these programs through trial and error. :o
I had a set of watercolor pencils before. I never used them right. >< |
Ok, I'm back now (I think). I'm done eating, anyway, so that's one less thing to worry about. I used to have Photoshop (7, I think) on my desktop comp before it committed suicide via hari-kari. I don't have any art programs on my laptop other than MS Paint, which I mainly use just to resize pics and change file extensions. For art, I'm basically using a cheap-ass 0.7mm mechanical pencil, the occasion fine-tip Sharpie, and Crayola colored pencils. I'm going to be getting a much better set of colored pencils, though. And I'm thinking about checking out some Copics.
|
I swear that mechanical pencils are the best art tool. I have two sets of drawing pencils, but I use my mechanical pencil most of the time unless I'm doing a lot of shading.
|
I like mechanical pencils, but I'd like to get a couple of better quality ones. And I need to get more lead, too. I don't know how much lead I currently have left, but I'm pretty sure I'm down to my last stick. Oh, and I was wrong, it's a 0.5mm, not a 0.7mm.
|
@Helios: I had some Copics. Oh, how I love working with Copics. *_* The smell was obnoxious, but working with them was fun.
I had a series back when I was in the 9th grade. *laughs* Looking back at the art, I wanted to burn them. xD Thank goodness all of the sites that hosted them are long gone with the dot com boom. @Kat/Ultima: I only use mechanical pencils for doodling. If I'm going to do something with shading, I need the trusty number 2. xD Too cheap to get a HB, 2B, and 4B. |
oh, I use a 7 mil. pencil. I have some lead I think.....*thinks about it* I need a gluestick. and some rubber cement or yes paste for my art project. hm, I think i'm going to have to leave for this concert soon. *straightens hair faster* I'm not ready yet!!
|
Oo, what kind of concert?
|
its an indian concert I think. I don't know anything about it, but my dad wants to go
I often draw with an HB then go over it with a mechanical pencil to get my lines really fine. I got a thing of drawing pencils from 2H to 8B plus a 4H pencil in a kit with the stuff I had to buy for my drawing class. |
TK: XD I never finished any of my comics. I had a webcomic for a short period of time.. Which is on my DA account.
Oh I LOVE mechanical pencils too, Dimi! I perfer them when I draw over anything else. |
yeah, I have part of my comic on DA but I gave up on taking pictures of the thing. now that I'm at home I can use the scanner I guess.
I need to get ready so ciao. |
@TK: I think I've got some of those art pencils somewhere... *searches*
@Kat & Helios: I want to get a better quality .5mm and .7mm pencils, if for no other reason than just for doing lineart before coloring. I also want to try out some Copics, but I'm not sure what a good price for them is. So few places seem to sell them that it'd be pretty easy for some place to gouge the price on them. :XP |
I think....I might....I might actually have a few copics. I don't really like them or I'm thinking of something else or I don't know how to use them
|
Bai Kat. :D
Copics were rather expensive when I tried to buy some. So I only have a few. I used to have a whole set of nertuals. Some of the sets I wanted were hella expensive. Oooo but they are awsome. :3 |
I found the art pencils that I've got. They're Prismacolor Turquoise. It's a 5 pencil set with a 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B and a HB.
