*lol* And I'll bet you were giving them the "evil death-stare" :P Don't worry, I like short women.  Aryah is short, too. She's only about 5-foot-tall. Meanwhile, I'm like 5'10".

Aww, that sucks. I know! I can write you a "get out of work / PT free" card! :XD

Yeah, me too. Of course, we'd need to find all the drivers for all the programs on her comp (like the one for the touchscreen, for instance).

ARGH! I need to restart my comp so that AVG will stop bitching at me... :stare: I'll be right back.

--EDIT--

Ok, I'm back now. Hopefully, AVG is happy now...

ToriKat 03-15-2010 12:05 AM

O_O I'm taller than Aryah! *doesn't say that much* xD

Well, I put in a pass for Friday...so hopefully I can get out of doing PT that day. *will ask to see if it's been approved*

Google works magic if they're online somewhere. *_*

Dimitri Bloodbane 03-15-2010 12:10 AM

*lol* Yeah, if I remember correctly, you're somewhere right around 5'4", right?

*crosses fingers so that you can get out of doing PT that day*

Yeah, but I don't know what all programs she has on her comp that require driver. Obviously the touchscreen, video card, sound card, mouse, and disc drive, but I'm not sure what model any of those devices are. All I know is that the laptop is made by HP...

ToriKat 03-15-2010 12:24 AM

Inch shorter. xD

I know I need the PT to prepare for the PT test...but...I'm worn out! I need to rest too. I had shin splints so bad from running so much that my legs were bruised. xD

*scratches head* I wonder if the HP site has anything.

Dimitri Bloodbane 03-15-2010 12:28 AM

Ahh, well, I was close, anyway. :P

Yeah, there is such a thing as too much :XP

Hmm, I dunno. It'd sure help if I knew the exact model / series of each of those devices...

I've got a rough done of your pic. Wanna see what I've got so far?

ToriKat 03-15-2010 12:38 AM

EE! Okay! Shooow me. xD

I've got The Princess and the Frog playing. xD It's cute...but it feels like it's missing the charm older Disney movies had. D:

Dimitri Bloodbane 03-15-2010 12:40 AM

*lol* Ok, give me one sec and I'll PM it to you.

Hrm, I haven't seen that one. I heard that there was an odd twist to it, though.

ToriKat 03-15-2010 12:46 AM

*glances for mail*

I was so excited when Disney was going to make another film classically years ago. I hope they'll continue. T^T I like the style more than the newer Pixar movies. *hides*

Dimitri Bloodbane 03-15-2010 12:56 AM

I sent it. You should get it any time now, if you haven't already. :ninja:

Eh, I'm pretty much the opposite. I'm more of a fan of the newer Pixar movies, but that's mainly because I'm a big fan of CG. Of course, it was the original animated films that really got me into Disney so many years ago. And I still like those movies, too.

ToriKat 03-15-2010 01:06 AM

Eee! She's so cute! I really like it. ^^ No changes needed. ;D

I pretty much gave up on going to school for animation once I realized Disney was focusing on Pixar. (that and not feeling confident about my art skills...and not really wanting to be told what and how to draw every little thing *is terrible* xD) I would've done anything as a kid to work on something as magical as Aladdin and The Lion King. xD

Dimitri Bloodbane 03-15-2010 01:09 AM

I'm glad you like her. I should be able to start on the lineart soon. I think I just finished getting the hem of the dress to where I think it looks good. I just hope it still looks good after coloring.

Aww, you're too hard on yourself, honey! Your art is absolutely wonderful! I can understand the bit about not wanting to be told what, how, and where to draw every little thing, though. But, when you work on one of several teams drawing different pics of the same scene, I guess that's to be expected. Yeah, the Lion King and Aladdin were good ones.

ToriKat 03-15-2010 01:23 AM

*claps giddily* Can't wait! Take your time. :3 I know I sure take mine when it comes to finishing art for people. *gets shot*

Took a lot to decide to keep art a hobby. xD I don't mind being told by commissioners they want this or that changed. But not have any creative freedom because you're working on a film...I dunno. I'd love to do it, but I guess I would have to make my own animation. ;D

Dimitri Bloodbane 03-15-2010 01:31 AM

Mmm, I think that the part that's going to take the most time is that bead of threads right at the top of the hem of the dress (where the frills start), because the way I'm doing it, it's really intricate. The rest of it shouldn't be a problem. Do you have any requests for the color of the dress?

I don't mind you taking your time on your art. That just shows that you pay attention to the quality of your art. That's one of the reasons that I like your art so much. Because it's so good and high-quality.

Well, if you ever DO make your own animation, let me know. I'd love to see it. Maybe I could even be one of the voice actors for one of the characters.

ToriKat 03-15-2010 01:43 AM

Nah, I'm giving you freedom on what to do. xD I just thought the dress was really cute. :3

Ahaha, I personally think the wait was worth it because I draw better now than I did in the past. ^^;;

Hehe, one of these days I'll play with Flash and try something out. I'll give you a prod then. xD I just need to work at cranking out images faster.

Dimitri Bloodbane 03-15-2010 01:50 AM

I think the dress looks interesting. Of course, the reason I like the dress is different than the reason that you like the dress. ;) :P

Eh, your art has always been really good. I still have all the pics that I got from you back when we were all on Gaia, and I love each and every one of them.

Wait a minute, I thought I was the one that was supposed to do all the prodding. You know, me being a man and you being a woman and all. :eager: :XD

ToriKat 03-15-2010 01:58 AM

Ohhh? LOL, what's your reasoning for liking it? xD I think a lot of dresses on the site are really cute...but lolita is such a style that's...it's too extravagant, I guess.

o_o *burns all of them* I'm so ashamed of them! D: *hides*

I GOT THE BIG STICK! *shakes the cane in the air*

Dimitri Bloodbane 03-15-2010 02:10 AM

Oh, I think you've already got a pretty good idea of the reason. :P Let's just say that it can be summed up in two words, and they would be "easy" and "access". ;)

 NUUUU!! :gonk: MY pics lovingly made by my darling TK!

O.o; ....yeah, but I've got the SPECIAL stick that's all warm and thick and...and... ... ...well, I think you'd like my stick better than the one you have in your hand. :XD

ToriKat 03-15-2010 02:11 AM

*whaps you* Tsk tsk! xD

I'm making Hamburger Helper Fried Rice...the things they come up with nowadays!

Dimitri Bloodbane 03-15-2010 02:20 AM

OOOWWW!! :gonk:  *wonders just which part of my last post I actually got whapped for* :? ...so many possibilities... Could have been any of them...

Oh, I know! The store by me has like an entire section of shelves dedicated to Hamburger Helper. And there's now Chicken Helper, too.
O.o;;

ToriKat 03-15-2010 02:22 AM

*laughs* A lot of it, whippersnapper! xD

SERIOUSLY. The commissary only has a few items compared to like...Wal Mart or something...but there's still a whole shelf devoted to Hamburger Helper. xD I like Tuna Helper...mm...cheesy. I haven't tried Chicken Helper. That sounds like too much work. Easy to brown some hamburger...or pop a can for tuna...but chicken?

Next up, Turkey Helper! xD

Dimitri Bloodbane 03-15-2010 02:27 AM

O.o;; ...whippersnapper? ...I'm older than you are, and I'm a whippersnapper? :P

Yeah, I forgot about Tuna Helper. Actually, they have canned chicken now, too. ;) In the same area as the canned tuna, as a matter of fact. Well, in the store, anyway. Not sure about the commissary. I've never been in one before.

Hey, that's an idea. You should write them and tell them that they need Turkey Helper. Could you imagine how much of that stuff they'd sell right after Thanksgiving? And a lot of families have turkeys for Christmas dinner, too. And there's ALWAYS leftovers.

ToriKat 03-15-2010 02:30 AM

I feel old. o_o

...canned chicken? D: I'm curious...yet...not too adventurous to try it...Is it any good?

A commissary is just a grocery store. xD Nothing special.

Good grief...that's so true! I might as well patent it! *laughs*

Kat Dakuu 03-15-2010 02:33 AM

canned chicken is for putting in things like casseroles in my opinion. like my mom's yummy tamale casserole. of the chicken....stuff.

hello

Dimitri Bloodbane 03-15-2010 02:36 AM

@TK: Pfft! You're not old. Even so, there's still ways to feel younger. ;)

...I dunno....never tried it... :XD

*lol* I know that much. *has two cousins in the Air Force, and an uncle retired from the Air Force, and a father that was in the Air Force, but never made a career out of it*

You could get filthy rich on that idea. :P If you do, though, just remember who helped to give you the idea. ;)

@Kat: Hey there, how's it going?

Kat Dakuu 03-15-2010 02:38 AM

oh, that reminds me of the paper I need to write over break. drat.

It's good. I'm just trying to multitask like 10 things and doing nothing as a result.
