@Helios: My family and friends thought I was crazy. (Because they didn't think I could make it. I spent four years in college being a dormant chair resider.) I didn't tell anyone till I was JUST about to go. I didn't want to say I was going until I was 100% positive. And well, family...I let my parents tell them. I knew they'd flip. But I made it through basic training, passed the medic training, and got booted to Korea. xD All of it feels so surreal.
@Hopelessly: Right now I would just settle with being able to run home. xD Sigh. Being a grown up is no fun! Which branch is your fiance in? (Also, be sure to edit posts rather than post new ones. Helios: Oh, ok! I know vaguely where that is. :) I've been down in that area for my Senior Trip back -- well, almost 3 years ago now. I'm more a country girl myself. :) Dimitri: Oh yeah, wouldn't know there. I just became totally legal to drink in the states back in November and because most of my Mates here are younger than I, I haven't gone out much to drink. xD I'll just take your word on that one :) TK: Oh, yeah! I'm close to home and there are just days when I want do do the same thing! Too many stressful things out here! And he's in the Marines. (And ok. Still trying to get the hang of all of this! Lol!) |

@Hopelessly: xD That's why I chose to go to school in Austin...I wanted to be able to go home whenever I could. I tried really hard to get Fort Hood so I could be near my hometown...and that didn't work out very well. o_o Wow the Marines! I know some former Marines.
