I don't mind the tap to click thing. I have to tap it pretty hard so its nearly useless anyways.

@Kat: Mmm, my touchpad is the opposite. It's really sensitive. I don't even have to actually touch the touchpad. If I hover a finger too close to the touchpad (without actually touching it), it still recognizes it as a "tap"... :XP

The flu.. was feeling sick all day and was trying to ignore it through work.. Ended up going home three hours early.

@Kat: Yeah, tell me about it. And I can't change the sensitivity or turn the "tap-to-click" off. So I'm pretty much stuck with it acting this way until I get a new laptop. :XP

that's why I use a mouse. I don't like touchpads and don't go near it!!

@Kat: Mmm, but I only have 2 USB ports, and they're already being used. I have my scanner/printer plugged into one of them, and my Bose speaker system plugged into the other one. :sweat:

sure, I'd trade with you!! I have 3 ports and don't have anything like a scanner.....yet. I want a drawing tablet though. I do plug in my thumb drives a lot though because after my computer tried to delete every file on it, I decided to back up all my writing. it was realllllly scary. I was glad I had my novel backed up already and of course all the files were back the next day. *rolls eyes* its just so mean to me

I've actually been looking around at a few different comps recently. I found a couple of nice ones that I think will do nicely. They both have really good video cards and sound cards, they both have 4 USB ports plus a firewire port, one has a 16" screen while the other one has a 17" screen, and they both cost less than $1000. :yes: I'm going to keep looking around at more laptops, though and see if I can find any other good ones to give me more of a selection to choose from. ;)

@Kai: Mmm, the only problem is that I've yet to see a Compaq with an NVIDIA GeForce video card or with a sound card up to my standards. :sweat:

I honestly don't know how much longer I'll be online, though. I only got about 2 hours of sleep last night, and I worked 10 hours today. So I'm pretty bushed. I think I'll probably go to bed here pretty soon. Thankfully, I have the day off from work tomorrow, so I don't have to worry about what time I actually get up. :P
