youtube parties are the best. this week will probably be 60's/70's/80's themed. we do a poll to pick our theme.

gaww!! this rp requires too much time to keep up with!!! I was an entire page behind before today!

@Kat: Mmm, on the bright side, my job is pretty good about giving me the time off I request when Aryah is in town. If I had a job with weekends off, I wouldn't get much time to spend with her when she's in town. :P

@TK: Eh, I'm a bit of a workaholic... So, it'd be hard for me to get burned out on working. I'm just burned out on people coming into the shop wanting stupid crap. :XP

By the way, did you already read my last post in the space pirate RP? Because I was kinda thinking about editing my post. :ninja:

@Ultima: You can edit it if you want! I don't mind. ^^

Guhhh, I don't want to, but I better slide into bed...work in about seven hours. >_>;; I might knock out some sit ups and leg lifts first though. Just one more week left. D:

such as I've been working on a drawing for 4 hours now. if I turned off my computer it would take me maybe 5 minutes to finish, but the reference material (being my friends avi) is digital so that's not happening. I'm only always working because I don't get anything done.

 I know that feeling. Most of my drawings are done with digital references.

Ugh, I hate days where I bust my butt all day long and, when I look back on what I've done, it doesn't seem like I got anything accomplished. :XP

I actually rarely use references. I just stare at things all day and get inspired by them and open my sketchbook and draw. but I was doing a drawing off me and Wings when we cosplayed our rp chars. together.

haha! I feel like that today though I shouldn't because I also painted for a few hours and its starting to get nearly done!

man, I thought you'd fallen asleep on me!

Sorry about that. I was talking to Aryah on the phone and trying to reply to one of my RPs. :P

Well, it depends on what I'm drawing as to what kind of references I'd need. Sometimes it's only a typed description, which I need to keep re-reading to make sure I'm adding all the stuff that needs to be added. For instance, the pic I'm currently working on is one of Rusa's OCs. She doesn't really have any picture references (except for the hair style / color). So I needed to keep rechecking to make sure I added everything she mentioned in her written description. ;)

hehe, its alright.

ahhh. I only draw my chars. mostly or like...Nicole. I draw nicole and kat all the time because we've been rping with them for um, 5 years now? so I KNOW what she looks like. otherwise I just draw what comes to mind. I did have to get reference on other people's oc's though.

Yeah, I'll probably be heading off to bed here before too much longer, though. I have to open shop in the morning, after all.

Yeah, I also tend to listen to music while I draw, so I have to have my comp on for that, too.

that's too bad. I'm going to stay up late because I get to sleep in.

oh, that's true. absolute silence bothers me. though when i'm painting away from my computer i often do have silence. I don't like anything more intrusive than classical music when I'm painting anyways.

Yeah, it is. I don't like opening shop the morning after I close shop, but there's not a lot I can do about it when I get scheduled like that. Luckily, it's not very often I get the dreaded "clopen".

Mmm, that's why I have a nice Bose speaker system. For the times I want to listen to music but need to do something more than headphone cord's length away from my comp. :P

*chuckles* clopen!! I imagine that's rather icky on your sleep schedule. I like to sleep till 2 during weekends if I can.

I could use my ipod, but the earphones actually bug me. they hurt my sensitive ears for some reason and the buds don't even fit in one of my ears! I don't like to use them when I'm doing art really. I used to use my alarm radio a lot when I had a room to myself. this will go back to normal next year when I don't have a roommate so I'll go back to that.

Yeah, that's what we call it when we have a closing shift followed by an opening shift. Nobody really likes them, because it's hard to get enough rest before you have to be back at work. :XP

I have to go get a new iPod. I lost the last one I had in the rollover accident. I have Skull Candy earphones that're actually really comfortable. They have a loop that goes over the top and around the back of your ear (kinda like hands-free sets or bluetooths for cellphones).

yeah, I imagine. its like staying up late doing hw. then getting up early to turn it in

oh yeah, they sell those in our bookstore. I might have to look into that since I've broken my second pair of headphones this year already. (I count years by school years btw so I don't mean since January) I somehow got one of the ear buds to come apart on the pair I'm using now. and my ipod is a piece of old junk!! it weighs a ton and its huge!

Yeah, something like that.

The last set of headphones I had were studio headphones (similar to what I'm wearing on my avi now). I really liked them except, when I wore them for extended periods of time, they started to hurt my ear lobes. I don't have that problem with the earphones I have now. I can wear them from sun up to sun down, and not have the slightest bit of pain. :boogie:

my ears are really sensitive so I do tend to have to take breaks from music if I'm listening to it loud for a few hours. its annoying and I have to just suffer if I'm on a trip with my dad. and my older brother listens to his music so loud!! it was like when I went to a rascal flatts concert and it was the best thin ever, but my ears didn't work afterwards!!

Yeah, I really like my music. So I tend to turn it up loud in my car or if I'm using my speakers. But, if I'm using my earphones, I tend to turn it down a little bit. :P I guess I'm used to loud music, though. I used to have a 10" subwoofer and a 350 watt (bridged to 700 watts plus another 100 watts coming from the stereo) amplifier in my little '98 Sonoma. It was a good enough system that I was out-thumping most of the kids that had dual 12" subwoofers in their cars. And I had that pickup with that stereo system for 5 years.

Well, I think I'm gonna go to bed now and try to get some sleep before I have to open shop in the morning. G'night and sweet dreams, Kat.

*blink blink* that sounds like a lot of music. I just stick to normal quiet sounding, non ear hurting stuff. I'm used to loud music, but its started to hurt my ears more an more as time passes. I know I can hear the whole human spectrum of sound pretty well like all the mosquito rings that most people cant and they hurt. when someone turns on an electrical device it emits a high noise that hurts too. that would be why I dislike them.

night dimi!! you sleep good too!
