the clue about yourself is the one that's not working as the little banner at the top of the page now says. the newest blooming clue was pretty dang easy.

ToriKat 04-04-2010 12:36 AM

I just started looking for them...so I have seven more to go, not including the borked one. xD

Dimitri Bloodbane 04-04-2010 12:38 AM

@Kat: Ahh, ok. That's one of the ones I'm having problems with.

@TK: I've gotten all but two of them, including the glitched one. Yet, I still don't have enough eggs to make my second complete set...

 Yeah, did you like the "borked" thingie? I edited my previous post as soon as I noticed that.

ToriKat 04-04-2010 12:42 AM

*laughs* I do!

My brain's still waking up...*digs around* So far things aren't where I expected them to be. 8D

Dimitri Bloodbane 04-04-2010 12:47 AM

Mmm, I wish I could say that I just woke up. Alas, I had to work for almost 11 hours straight today. I didn't even get a lunch break! :XP

Yeah, a few of those clues really confused me, too. Luckily, I happened across some backposts somewhere in which the clues were simplified a bit to the point that I was even able to figure them out (without the answers being just flung out there). :D

ToriKat 04-04-2010 12:53 AM

No lunch break! Why??

Dimitri Bloodbane 04-04-2010 01:00 AM

We were too busy today. Everybody and their brother was coming in today to get stuff done on their vehicles. It was so hectic that nobody took a lunch break today. There were people bringing their vehicles in quicker than we could get them knocked out. At one point, we had about 25 vehicles waiting in line while we had the shop completely filled with vehicles we were currently working on. :XP

--EDIT--

w00t! Got the newest egg! :boogie: That clue was surprisingly easy for me to figure out. O.o;

ToriKat 04-04-2010 01:46 AM

Twenty five! My goodness! D: Good business, but bad if you can't slip in a bit to eat! *shakes head*

...that's why I always keep a candy bar on me. xD For a quick rush in case we get overloaded with patients. ^^;;

Dimitri Bloodbane 04-04-2010 01:50 AM

Yeah. I'm kinda curious how much I made in commission today at work, now that the day is over with. :P At least I have tomorrow off.

Yeah, that's a good idea. Except for the fact that the shop doesn't have A/C. So, the candy bar would be a big mass of melted chocolate. I guess a bag of chips would work. Except for dirty/greasy/oily hands. :ninja:

ToriKat 04-04-2010 01:57 AM

Granola bar perhaps? xD

You earned it! Sleep in and enjoy it! xD

Dimitri Bloodbane 04-04-2010 02:00 AM

Now that's an idea. Maybe I'll do that.

Bah, the only reason I got tomorrow off is because the shop is actually going to be closed for the holiday, believe it or not. One of only three holidays out of the year that the shop closes. Then, if the schedule doesn't change, I have to open on Monday, and then I've got Tuesday and Wednesday off.

--EDIT--

Got the new egg! :boogie: Either I'm getting better at these clues, or the clues are getting easier. :ninja:

ToriKat 04-04-2010 02:02 AM

o_o Wow. It's not a holiday for us for some reason. *scratches head* Well, I think it's not...

Dimitri Bloodbane 04-04-2010 02:05 AM

Meh, Easter is more of a religious holiday, like Christmas. I think that's about the only reason that the shop is closing for the holiday. Apparently, the only holidays that the shop closes for are Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas day. The shop is open for all the other holidays.

ToriKat 04-04-2010 02:07 AM

We're closed for just about everything. President's Day. Thanksgiving. And so on...

I need to go and pay for my internet bill, but I've been hesitant about going to Walker because I'm not sure if everything is open. xD

Dimitri Bloodbane 04-04-2010 02:10 AM

Let's see... It's Easter Sunday for you now, isn't it? Yeah, I'm not quite sure what "Walker" is, but I wouldn't think any stores or anything would be open today. Certainly not for normal business hours, anyway. Maybe you can call and find out before making the trip?

ToriKat 04-04-2010 02:20 AM

Since no one is off Monday, I'm assuming it's not a holiday for us. Every time there's a holiday, it's a three or four day weekend.

Walker is the post I came from. I figured out once I pay my bill, they really don't care where I take this internet box. xD

Once...I find the number...*laughs* It's about as frustrating to find my contract as these last three eggs. 8D

Dimitri Bloodbane 04-04-2010 02:24 AM

I see. So, you normally get weekends off?

Ahh, I get it now. I never knew the name of your base out there. :P

Which eggs are you having troubles with? Maybe I can help you with them. I've found all but two (counting the "borked" one).

ToriKat 04-04-2010 02:31 AM

Nope. We work either four or five shifts on, two days off. And sometimes we cover for each other when things go downhill. It's inconsistent. xD

The game of numbers...the dust...and what do you have to say for yourself.

The dust I was thinking books or construction. >_>
Numbers...I was thinking lotto or any of the games...
And say for yourself....I thought it was for the blogs...*laughs*

Dimitri Bloodbane 04-04-2010 02:37 AM

Ahh, ok. I can understand how that is. I have rotating shifts at work myself. My shifts are more inconsistent than yours, though. It's rare for me to get two days off in a row unless I request them. And my shifts are almost always changing from week to week.

You're thinking along the right lines for the dust one. It's similar to the creativity clue and the news, views, and Qs clue.

The numbers clue, I can tell you, has nothing to do with Mene's games, or the lotto. It's actually in a different direction altogether. Think of RL games that deal heavily with numbers, then look around Mene again. ;)

The say for yourself one is the "borked" clue. :ninja:

Kat Dakuu 04-04-2010 02:37 AM

sorry I got dragged into doing chores and eating. how are Tori and dimi?

Dimitri Bloodbane 04-04-2010 02:40 AM

@Kat: I'm doing alright. Just winding down from a long and really busy day at work today. I worked almost 11 straight hours today, and didn't even get a lunch break because we were so busy. :XP Now, I'm thinking about finding something to eat again. And how was your day?

ToriKat 04-04-2010 02:41 AM

The yourself one is borked? I thought it had to do with hair...xD *is so distracted, was wondering what became of that clue*

*rubs head* I know where the dust one is headed. Let's see...real life game...

Kat Dakuu 04-04-2010 02:41 AM

wow! I hope you get paid a lot for all that work!!! my day was mostly mene and lots and lots of chores. I might have to get off again and bake the cookies and brownies.

Dimitri Bloodbane 04-04-2010 02:47 AM

@TK: The hair one? You mean the one that said something about blue hairs? No, I didn't have any problems getting that one. Not once I figured it out, anyway.

I'm not sure I can say much more about the numbers one without saying too much, but let me think about it for a moment.

@Kat: Well, my base pay jumps up to OT pay status (time and a half) once my hours reach over 40 hours in a week, but my base pay isn't all that great to start with. My commission rate doesn't change, regardless of how many hours I work. So, all-in-all, I get a little extra money, but not much.

Kat Dakuu 04-04-2010 02:52 AM

I'm no good at giving hints. I don't even know which one the number one is.

oh, I see Dimi. that's too bad. all that work should give you some nice moola to be worth it.
