sounds like an awesome computer. mine is an Asus too. but it doesn't like me most of the time.

I'm still trying to get used to mine. The touch pad on my new laptop is twice as big as the one on my old laptop. And instead of two separate buttons below the touch pad (for right-clicking and left-clicking), there's only one button. It still works the same as two buttons, depending on which side of the button you click on, but the button is so much bigger than the two buttons on my previous laptop that I tend to click in the middle of the button instead of on one side or the other... :sweat: Oh, and there's the fact that I'm jumping from Windows XP to Windows 7. Whole new OS to get used to. :P

@TK: Yeah, and I really like the blue "accent" light under the screen and the back-lit keys, too. Not to mention the 10-key on the side. *loves 10-key*
AH, yeah, I know how that goes. I've been running into a similar situation at work, too. That game they like to play really sucks, don't it? :XP

well, I was supposed to get a job last summer but no one would hire me and I'm not allowed not get a job now since I've never had one before.

its pretty hot here.....well, its cold now but that's because a storm was chasing us here and its dark and all....

hm, what I mean by my laptop not liking me is that it doesn't always feel like working. the internet is better though now that I'm away from school.

I don't use my touchpad. I wish it could scroll. maybe if it could, I would actually use it.

@TK: It's like a second key pad attached to the right side of the keyboard made up of numbers, like a calculator. Makes it a lot easier to enter numbers instead of using the number keys lined up at the top of the keyboard. :yes:

Mmm, I'm toying with the idea of getting a separate mouse to use with my laptop. I wonder if it would turn my touch pad off if I had an external mouse connected?

I can't say I've ever ued that '10 key' thing....

my touchpad works when I have my mouse plugged in.

really? I never hit my touchpad when typing, but I have such ridiculously long fingers that my hands are no where near the keyboard really.

@Kat: Meh, it doesn't help matters much that I tend to rest my wrists on the panel below the keyboard when I type. Of course, that has a bit to do with how my laptop sits on my desk, too. :P

ah, I can't rest my hands there really because really, my fingers are veeeery long. and I prefer to have my laptop in my lap or on the bed....

@Kat: Eh, I don't like having my laptop on my lap because my previous laptop would get pretty warm. :sweat: I tend to put off a lot of body heat anyway, so having something that warm on my lap makes it uncomfortable for me. And I can't hunch over to use my laptop sitting on my bed because it starts to make my back ache. :XP

I'm used to my dorm room being pretty cold so a warm laptop is good for me. mine doesn't get that hot anyways. though I do notice that my back hurts a lot more from hunching over it. but the desks are usually too high for me to use my laptop easily on them. (is short). ooh, I also tend to lay on my back with my laptop on my stomach
