Good night then Kat:)

Tori! :glomp: haven't talked to you in ages lol.

Textiles, I have to decorate my folio, write some justifications for my design options and do some annotations.

ToriKat 05-08-2010 05:55 AM

@Ultima: Ahhh, I see what I wanted to poke you about...What did you want their mission to be about?
Did you ever get a chance to see 24?
I'm so mad at FOX for making this the last season of 24. :< They'll make me hate them if they were to cancel House M.D....

@Tegan: *hugs* Have you been well? Busy, it sounds like. xD *tilts head to the side* What kinds of textiles? Clothing?

Dimitri Bloodbane 05-08-2010 06:02 AM

@TK: No, I haven't really had the chance to, what with work and all. I did see the last 10 or 15 minutes of one episode, but that's it. I thought about looking it up on Hulu, but Aryah told me that Hulu is starting to charge for the privilege of watching some series. Maybe I'll just look into searching for the box sets or something.

As for their mission, I'm not sure. I'll leave it up to you to choose whatever kind of mission you like, and I'll follow along. Jason's specialties are sneaking missions and urban warfare, though, as well as a bit of intel gathering. Mainly Black Ops type stuff.

Tegan_StarFire 05-08-2010 06:07 AM

@Tori yep design and technology/ sewing.

There is heaps of theory work as well like quality management, development process, research and development, standards etc lol.

We get to design and make whatever we want this year so I'm going to make a modified kimono. I can show you a sketch of the one I'm making if you want:)

ToriKat 05-08-2010 06:24 AM

@Ultima: Charging? Really? I've been watching lots of stuff from it. From what I googled, they're saying they'll start May 24? :/ Jerks...I already had to tolerate those wretched Axe Hair commercials...
Blah, they only have the recent five episodes anyways...
You can watch 24 here: Watch 24 Online Free xD At least try it before you spend? Only downside is how slow some of the video sites are. >_>;;

@Tegan: Wow...that all sounds very complicated. O_O
I'd love to see the sketch!

Dimitri Bloodbane 05-08-2010 06:28 AM

From what Aryah told me, they supposedly aren't going to charge for everything. Only the most popular shows/series. But, yeah, seems pretty lame to me. :XP
Ahh, thanks! I'll make sure to check it out. I should at least be able to figure out if the series interests me enough to look for the box sets.

ToriKat 05-08-2010 06:32 AM

It says they'll have the last five episodes of those series for free...Man, creating a site aimed at FREENESS and suddenly stealing it away? :/ *kicks them*

Haha, that's my intention. I would feel so bad if you bought it and didn't like it. *doesn't want to be hated* xD I haven't seen the last season yet...just waiting for it to end so I can have a 24 hour marathon, no joke. ;D Gahhh, I'll miss Jack Bauer. :<

Dimitri Bloodbane 05-08-2010 06:39 AM

Yeah, a lot of those types of sites tend to buckle to the all-mighty dollar. One of my favorite P2P transfer sites that I went to for music (winMX) did the same thing. And there was no warning to it, as far as I could tell. It was all normal one day, and I went back a few days later and suddenly there was this notice saying that members had to pay for a new membership in order to log in. Needless to say, I promptly deleted the transfer client off of my comp and never went back to that site. I wonder how many others did the same thing I did?

By the way, I've gotten a couple of ideas for new RPs as well (even though I'm still working out some of the details) if you're interested in hearing about them.

Tegan_StarFire 05-08-2010 06:41 AM

@Tori this is the modified kimono I designed. I will be making it in about three weeks time:)
The colour didn't come out very well its supposed to be a light blue.

ToriKat 05-08-2010 06:49 AM

@Ultima: The thing is...NBC and Disney share a stake in Hulu. *rolls eyes* Had they been a lone, independent company, I would've understood a little more? It's almost like they created this place for you to get free programming...then once you're hooked, they start charging. Since you like the service sooooo much and it's not THAT expensive, you pay.
I'm just cranky since I don't have cable to begin with here. xD I only just now noticed that it says if you're on a military base you can try to get them to give you access...
I'd love to hear the ideas! Send away! :D

@Tegan: Wow, that's beautiful! I really like the side where there's ruffles. I like it. ^^

Tegan_StarFire 05-08-2010 06:52 AM

Thanks Tori, its perfect too because when I went to Japan on my holiday a few weeks ago I found fabric and an obi just like that. The fabric was very expensive ($60 a meter) though lol, I ended up getting four meters

ToriKat 05-08-2010 06:54 AM

O____O Sixty dollars a METER? Holy cow!

Wow, where in Japan did you go to?

Dimitri Bloodbane 05-08-2010 06:59 AM

@TK: Meh, I'm cheap on stuff like that. I mean, if I have to pay to watch it anyway, I'm the type of person that'll go buy the movie/series/CD instead. Of course, I'm pretty sure that's their goal in the long run anyway.

Ok, I'll send them to you shortly. I just need to type a bit of stuff up first.

ToriKat 05-08-2010 07:02 AM

I really want to stay up longer, but it's so hard. @[email protected] I'm try to stay up till at least 8pm, but I can't wait another four hours. xD I hate switching from one shift to the next. *sighs* Really screws me up. ^^;;

...at least if I wake up at some odd hour like...midnight, then I can do my laundry while the laundry room is empty.

*hugs all* I'll catch you guys later. ;D

Tegan_StarFire 05-08-2010 07:05 AM

@Tori I bought the fabric in Tokyo:) and yes it cost that much because it was silk brocade fabric which is normally quite expensive anyway.

We visited Osaka, Tokyo, Takenawa and Kyoto.

It was awesome lol.

Okays good night then Tori:)

Dimitri Bloodbane 05-08-2010 07:09 AM

@TK: Alright. G'night and sweet dreams. Actually, I think I'm gonna head to bed for the night, too. I'll be online tomorrow, though.

Tegan_StarFire 05-08-2010 07:11 AM

Good night as well Dimitri:)

Kat Dakuu 05-08-2010 10:08 PM

oif, I predict this is going to be a very long day and my feet hurt from all that standing in my cushionless shoes. don't know what we're all going to do with the rest of day though. I did enjoy the giant pyramid me and my cousin made out of huge legos we found in a nursery.

Aryah_Jade 05-09-2010 01:58 AM

Ahh... ranting about hulu are we? .... if they start charging me... I'ma be pissed.

Kat Dakuu 05-09-2010 04:39 AM

I missed Aryah? *pouts*

ToriKat 05-11-2010 11:20 AM

I ended up being comatose for 12 hours after I signed off that one day. Amazing.

Whoever (the medic) whined about wanting to switch between night and day shifts EVERY WEEK should have been smacked. It's not practical. I'm falling apart since it's so hard to adjust.

Ran six miles today. Oh, how I ache. xD

Kat Dakuu 05-11-2010 06:42 PM

sounds painful and tiring.....you can't just stay on nights or days?

Keondre Lorano 05-11-2010 07:02 PM

Ho crud . . . Haven't been here a while. Anyone home?

Kat Dakuu 05-11-2010 08:24 PM

Keondre!! long time no see!!!

Keondre Lorano 05-11-2010 09:49 PM

Ahaha ^_^" I know. I've been busy, but I've finally found some time to come back. How've you been, Kat? Well, I hope? =]
