It's a best-of-seven series and the Chicago Blackhawks are up 3-2 in the series and game 6 over the Philadelphia Flyers. :3
So I'm happy, because I want the Blackhawks to win. <3

Meh, I suppose it was about as good as can be expected, all things considered. Kind of a slow day, so I didn't make as much commission today as I normally do. And the guy I had to close shop with is one of the guys that really annoys the crap outta me, since he's the type of guy that only does what he absolutely has to to scrape by. I mean, all he did to "help" close was do a half-ass...no, I can't even call it "half-ass"...more like a half-ass of a half-ass job of sweeping the floor and take out the old tires. Which left me with resweeping the floor, taking out the trash, and other "cleaning up" jobs. To top it off, the guy I was closing with ended up leaving 30 minutes early (which nobody seemed to realize until I asked where the hell he was), and I had to stay almost 30 minutes late to finish cleaning up... :roll:

D: that's no fair!!! I would not be happy if someone left me to do all the work! :no:

Yeah, but he's not the only one that does it. There's another guy that does roughly the same amount of work when he closes (and it's normally that guy and the guy that I closed with tonight that typically close shop), and one more guy that seems to think that he doesn't have to do a damn thing to help clean up. This has been going on for a while now, yet all three of them still have jobs. The most they receive in way of reprimand seems to be a "stern talking to"... I just don't get it. I mean, if I were to do something like that, I'd probably be out of a job within a week. It makes no sense. :roll:

Oh, on top of everything tonight, I get to open shop in the morning. Which means minimum rest before going back to work again. :XP Sucks to be me, ne?

Yeah, but see, therein lies the rub, so to speak. You see, I only get a base wage of $6/hr. The rest of my wage is commission. Which means, if I'm not working on a car for an hour, I only earn $6. So all that cleaning we do only earns us our base wage. Not a very worthy pay when you think about it. I suppose that's what those guys look at, saying "if I'm only getting $6/hr to clean up, then it's not worth my time". I can understand that when looking at it that way. I don't like it either. Yet I still do it.

Anyway, I suppose I should try to head to bed and get some rest before I have to get back up to go back to work in the morning. G'nite and sweet dreams, Kat. :hug:

Good to hear that you're doing well. :yes: I'm fighting sleep right now, but that's not surprising considering that I closed shop last night and had to open the shop back up this morning. :XP At least I should be able to sleep in a bit tomorrow, since I have to close shop again tomorrow night. :roll:

well, that and it was more than a 2 hour drive to get here. It's going to be a fabulous 3 day thing!!! :D :stare: hopefully we'll go to the caves around here and not the winery.

haha, I wish I were tired. I'm going to end up staying up way later than everyone here! and I have to wake up in the morning.....*trails off* they're talking about Chunky Monkey ice cream....:drool:
