Yeah, those types of RPs die easily, just like the one-on-one RPs if one of the participants disappears or simply quits posting. That's one advantage that group RPs open to the general public has going for it. No set posting order to stagnate the RP if somebody disappears, and plenty of people to take the place of a suddenly missing member.

kinda. everyone was their username. there were just a few of us trying to reinact what happened to one of our friends who had stopped posting and it was all fantasy princess. it was something different.

yeah, I killed a few rps that way, but sometimes characters just don't click. or somtimes you just don't rp well with a person.

I guess that's one thing that Miki and I have going for us, then. Our RP characters seem to click pretty good. Well, I think so, anyway. And we come up with some interesting situations in our RP, too. There's almost always some sort of humor about those situations (except for a few instances). As for the other RPs, most of them died within the first few pages. I guess those are examples of characters or RP partners not "clicking". *shrugs*

yep, that's the way me and wingsy are. we've been rping together since high school and the stories are always original and interesting. our romances almost always work out really well too. a lot of the rps I've tried to start on mene have ended quickly they didn't click.

That's one of the reasons that I tend to prefer sticking to people I already know through chatting and such as RP partners rather than people that I don't know from the man in the moon. If I already know them through chatting, it's easier to click with them in RPs because you already know what they're like, and most people tend to RP their characters based on what they themselves would do in the same situation, whether they realize it or not.

yeah, I prefer rping with friends too. its a lot easier and I feel more comfortable being insane and what not. plus I like chatting outside of the rp about it and just getting to know who I'm rping with. people really do rp as themselves. that's probably why i rp best with my best friends.

Mmhmm. :yes: Before almost every reply I make in an RP, I read the previous post and think to myself "now, what would I do in this situation? How would I do it, and with what?" In essence, my RP characters are extensions of myself and act in pretty much the same manner as I would IRL.

I usually don't have to think to post with my best characters. I just write on impulse and it come out rather like me. Kat dakuu has always been my best rp character. she was virtual reality me and our personalities are now inseparable.

I think I'm going to text some friends and see if they want to rp with me....

Meh, it usually doesn't take me too long to think up a post. It usually takes me longer to actually type the post up than it does to think it out. :XD Then again, it usually depends on my mood and the way my brain is working at the time. :P

I tend not to write long posts but when I do, it takes me FOREVER to type them up!! my fingers are slow apparently and my brain gets ahead of them so I have to read back for typos.

Most the posts I make are rather large. If it weren't for the 20g limit on posts, I could probably make 30-40 gold with some of my posts in my RPs. You should see some of them. They're like a mini-novel sometimes. :XD Like the last post I made in my RP with Miki. I'm sure that post would have netted me at least 40g if not for the gold cap. *shrugs*

That sucks. I've done that before more than once. Sounds like you need to make a trip to your nearest cell phone provider store (or maybe even a Radio Shack or similar store) to get a new one.

lol! I used to post like that when I rped in spirals back before we knew sites like this existed. I think the longest I wrote was 3 pages so that'd be about a page and a half typed. I wish we could get more for long posts though I doubt i exceed the 20g limit much.

yeah, lately mine are no longer than 200 words and often only a few lines long. I used to be more 'dungeon master' and control all the plot and a lot of characters so I had to write really long posts. XD yes, I do mean spiral notebooks. me and my friends used to pass them around in class and when we passed each other in the halls so we could rp all through school and at football games (since we were all in band/colorguard and had to go to them)

yes, it was so so much more interesting than lectures. we didn't get in trouble that much either because the teachers had no idea what we were doing! the best was in creative writing class. we were creatively writing technically.... :ninja: just not what she assigned.

Yes, I can imagine. All the teachers would probably think that you're working diligently on the assignment that they give you, then wonder what happened when you turn your assignment in. :P
