yeah, I didn't really make friends....still haven't really made friends at school.

@Kat: Beyond my last two roommates and one girl who was in some of my classes, I'm not friends with anyone from college...*sighs* Kind of ridiculous because we "broke up" for dumb reasons.

@TK: Jeez, that sucks! 24 straight hours of work! :gonk: How does that even work out? I mean, do they at least give you a day off the next day or something like that?

@Kat: I just got done eating my dinner. :yes: Hmm, I don't keep in contact with any of my friends that I went to school with. Well, other than two close friends that ended up getting married and moving to Utah.

I just microwaved some taqitos...

yep, that's how me and wings of writing are. we're gonna be friends forever!

I'm not far removed from high school so I still have a few friends. :yes:

@Ultima: Yup, you go into work from 6:30 am till 6:30 pm. Only time you leave is for meals. Once your shift is over, you get the rest of that day off. *laughs* We hate it. I spent like two hours awake the day after a twenty four hour shift. So it's not really a day off...


@Kat: Hehe, and you have better luck at keeping your bestie around Mene. xD

@Kat: Yeah, I suppose it would be easier to drift away from school friends as more and more time passes. :XP

@TK: Ahh, I see. I think the most enjoyable work shift I had at any job was when I was working 12 hours shifts. I'd work 4 days and have 3 days off one week, then it'd swap for the next week, so I'd work 3 days and have 4 days off. If I remember correctly, I worked Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday. :yes:

@Kat: Yeah, it was only supposed to go for two weeks, but they're continuing it for some reason. *groans* Nobody who has to work it likes it.


@Ultima: xD I'd like three and four in any combination over what we're doing now. 8D The other clinic actually has four days on and three days off, and they were still complaining.

@TK: Well, that doesn't make much sense... "let's give one clinic 3 days off every week and make the other clinic work around the clock". Who thinks this stuff up? :illgetu:

@Ultima: Each clinic is run by different people. >_>; *sighs* Ours thought we had too many off days when we worked four days on, two days off...He didn't realize those shifts were twelve hours long so we were working sixty hour weeks. Most of us laughed when he said, "You guys have all these off days. In the real army, everyone works forty hour weeks!"


@Kat: Enjoy it while you can. xD We're spending them on bills and other junk, not fun stuff. xD

since I'm not paying, I don't pay attention to the money, but I know the numbers are pretty big.

@Ultima: Actually, he's a sergeant first class. Three ranks above me. 8D I think twelve years of service and several deployments.

and it all comes back to the job.

and college just gets more expensive with the years. hehe
