I live in Australia, and in a city with a reasonably large Asian community....where the Chinatown is vibrant and full of life, I suppose....

HAHA, never, I live in the South of Australia...but that's definitely one thing I'd like to do when I can afford to go there...AUstralia is has a huge land mass, considering the relatively small population...

Aryah, well, I suppose Australia is good if you live near the coast, for oceans.... :D but some beaches can be dangerous, I've heard of jellyfish and sharks in different beaches...

@Aryah: Well, either they're honor students, can handle more difficult magics, or are just in the higher grades? Like if there were three groups...the newly entered have plain pants, the middle grades have a silver stripe down their pantlegs, and then the ones about to graduate have gold? Hrmmm...I dunno, I personally prefer having them as an elite symbol. So people can be in awe when they see a gold striped uniform? *DUNNO WHAT YOU GUYS THINK* xD

Tori: Why don't you make it 1st years have a green stripe on pants. 2nd year a blue stripe. 3rd year red stripe. Then there are elites among the school who have a silver or gold stripe within their year color stripe.

Ling- Yes, so I've learned. I could never go diving. I'm too afraid of Man-o-wars and such... I love wales, dolphins, and rays though. :( The reefs are gorgeous, too! I did get stung by a jellyfish once, when I lived near the beach in Virginia (eastern coast, us) It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but still not pleasant. Also, I've heard of sharks coming so far inland that I rarely venture very far out if I do in fact get in the water. I'm a pool person! :D

TK- I agree with giving the elite students a symbol. And, Dimi and I both like the different stripes on the pants to seperate classes. Maybe something like the braided ropes that the military sometimes uses on their uniforms for the elite students. Then, different colors on the chords to seperate the types of elite? Like blue, green, white... so they can even have more than one chord? I dunno... dimi's suggestion. XP

dolphins and whales are lovely creatures....Sting rays are interesting, to look at, but can imagine them being quite dangerous too.

Ling- Ohhh, I think Mantas are just gorgeous! I saw a tank full of different rays at an aquarium once and they acted like puppies begging for attention. They would swim around this circular tank and then clap themselves against the edge like a little suction cup, waiting to be petted! :lol: :heart: It was adorable.

Miki- No, I just drove my sister and I to her house, then she put seasoned salt and ice on it. Worked brilliantly.

Miki and Ling- Yes. Any type of "meat tenderizer" is supposed to work. I think osmosis is a good basis for understanding why it would ease the pain or draw the poison out. Frankly it didn't even hurt that bad. It just freaked me out at first and then became annoying.
