But, as for the cats, why type of cleaner do you use? Oh, and what are you using for litter?

Aryah- By the way, haw far do you have to go to get your next load, and what time do you have to be there?

well, when my mom's cats couldn't learn to use the litter box, they got thrown outside.

these kittens were just fine and using the litter
and everything.
we found homes for 3 of their sisters and let them in the house
completely and they did great for about 3 weeks.
now they just don't care...

jessiekins- At least you don't have to clean it up out of carpet. That'd be a real pain. :XP

Jessi- the "pine" scent might not by helping... try something more like lysol... the strong scent combined with the disinfectant should help remove all traces of the mess, as well as deter future incidents. As for the litter, I've noticed that some cats respond to certain types better than others. For example, the size of the grains in "normal" litter, where some are larger than others, some are more like sand, and then there's the more natural route of using wood chips (i think it is). Also, you may consider moving the litter box to an area they are more likely to spend time in, and therefor more likely to remember. Also, if you have the litter box in an area with a door, like the bathroom, you might consider carrying them into the bathroom, dropping them in the box and locking them all in there for a while as punishment whenever they don't use it. Other than that, my only suggestion would be to cover the litter box if it isn't already. That's always worked for me.

i didn't even think of that.
the litterbox is in our back hall.
they just opt for going beside it insted of in it
and with 6 cats in my house.
i clean the litter box 5 times a day to keep it clean.
so it's not that they're doing it because their box is messy.

i will have to get a new cleaner and try that too.
i know my house had 3 dogs in it before me and my linolium is stained yellow where these
dogs would just PEE everywhere in the back hall and my dinning room.

TK- Any luck choosing colors for that pic?

Aryah- Well, the load itself doesn't sound to bad. Just the deliveries are a pain. I just hope they gave you plenty of time between deliveries to account for travel time and unload time.

Jessiekins- Eww, that sucks. Maybe you should consider getting one of those pet mats to put under the entertainment center. If nothing else, it'd hopefully make the clean ups easier. :sweat:

@Jessie: It might help to have more than one litter box since you have that many cats!

Oh gross...I can't see why anyone would let their dogs go inside the house. >_<

ihave two litter boxes but ones in my mudroom and is cracked so
it isn't usable at the moment.
and with my money already spoken for when i get paid
i kinda can't buy another one right now.
yeah i know.
believe me my hubby's grandmother wasn't too happy when she saw
the house after the last people moved out.
hense why we have it now.
she knows we'll take care of it.

Jessi: Yeah, 6 cats and 3 dogs before that... that sounds like a lot to handle. I really hope you can get it sorted out, though! :yes:

I do, however, find it sad that I was able to give you so much information just now despite the fact that I actually prefer dogs to cats, and only know that much because of my sisters insistence on having cats since we were little. :stare: I've never actually even had a dog.... gah! *scrubs a hand down my face*

Dimi- Yes, it is. And yes, I think they did. The two deliveries are less than 1hr away from each other but they gave me approx. two hours between them... I hope it all works out ok.

@jessie: Ooohhh, man, that's why I'll probably never rent my home if I ever own one. >_>;; *thinks people won't take care of others' things!*


@Aryah: Aw, can't you get a dog of your own sometime?
I'm a cat person because I don't have the energy to deal with dogs. xD

and he's more well behaved than my cats

it was a mother and a daughter and their 3 dogs that I know of
my hubby said he thinks there were more animals here too cause when
we were cleaning we found some kittens that had passed away just
put in a box and left in the shed. those kind of things just Piss me off.

TK- Hrm, Aryah might be able to give some input on the colors. I'll have to ask her opinion. I'm just not really good with color coordination.

Jessiekins- Hrm, hadn't thought about that.

Aryah- Don't worry, hon. We'll get you a dog at some point. I just don't think that now is the best time for that.

TK- Oh, she'll have a dog at some point. It's just that, since she's gone so often due to her job, any dog we got wouldn't really be "her dog", ya know?

TK: Oh, I have nothing against cats really. In fact my last one was a doll. He actually followed me around the house, it was so cute! But, no. Being a truck driver, I would never be home to take care of a pet and it would be left to others to do it (thereby negating the purpose of getting one, really), and I'm not allowed to have one in my truck, because it's not mine. It belongs to the company I work for. I'm working on convincing Dimi's parents to get a dog soon though, so I can at least visit with one when I am home. So far, they're resistant, but I think I'm wearing them down. ;)

Jessi- Ooh, what kind of pets do you have? The closest I'll get to EVER getting a little dog, by my own choice, will be a bull terrier. Other than that, I prefer bigger dogs.

fyi- I probably have one of the strangest previous pet lists you've ever seen... depending on who you are, exactly. XP
