@Tori: I know, I would hate that! I wouldn't like people feeling that they can't talk to me juts because I'm an authority figure. I was an administrator on a board for a while and people only talked to me formally -- I felt sort of out of the loop, like I was only someone to enforce rules and what not. Sometimes it's great to be just a regular old member, though being a moderator is a little bit in between -- you're a member but someone who's trusted by the administrators at the same time. :D @Minuxe: I didn't get bitten, that was good, but my mom was being a caution freak, like always. I used to do that, too. Like when someone had looked in a hiding spot that I saw them looking in, I would run to that spot when they had their backs turned. Confused them TOTALLY. @Tetsu: I do wear the guy's uniform pretty much. XD; We're allowed to either wear pants or a skirt, and I own nothing but the pants. On Mondays though, it's requirement that you wear a jumper / dress thing. I HATE IT. I'm going to burn it in a few months. >< |

@Minuxe: They just see people as an authority, not so much a fellow member, at least that's what I gathered. Menewsha's different though -- the moderators here interact with the users on a daily basis, and they're regular members just like us -- after all, some of the moderators here have been users that joined the site after me and got promoted. I don't know why people have that interpretation though. . . I guess they're afraid they'll get banned or something. @Love: HOWDY! Back again, I see. I'm good, what about yourself? |

Ugh, I know how frustrating ex's can be. I don't talk to any of mine anymore for that reason. I'm not up to much, just trying to get gold like normal. :D @Minuxe: Yeah, we all are members, regardless of our status. And this is one of the few communities I've seen where moderators can interact with the normal members and it actually work. Most people in a higher position let the authority get to their heads and they think they're better than the members. I've got a major problem with that mentality. >< @Tetsu: Ugh, that's terrible. At least you got out of that place, though. Cubicles? They have those in public school for kids that get sent to ISS. Talk about absolute Nazi private academies. . . I can't wait to get out of my school in a few months. Just March, April, then half of May! :D I am SO ready for college. |

@Tetsu: I know, you're moving to my state! We'll be approximately four or so hours apart since you'll be in Savannah and I'll be in Athens, but still, that's awesome. ^___^ You'll get to paint houses and such -- the SCAD team down in Savannah goes around revamping houses and painting murals on the sides of buildings. TOTALLY gorgeous stuff down there.

D: I guess I can empathize with you cause I feel like I scared away tons of people when I had my duties as the board administrator. @Minuxe: Some were. My friend created the entire board / forums, so he made me the co-creator / administrator and what not. He exercised his rule just as gently as I did, but the people we appointed to be moderators definitely got out of hand many a time. Part of it might have been our bad judgment in giving them the title over other people -- and trust me, that led to more drama than we both needed -- but the other half of it was just that they felt like they had power and they exercised it in the completely wrong fashion. You'd be amazed with what people do when they're given a little dose of power. They'll run a mile and beyond with it.
@Tori: Hahaha! I can see it now. Or, if you want to be really mean, and when you have someone who acts up, you can replace their avatar images for a time with some horrible and humiliating image or something that reads "I've been a bad boy/girl, so I'm in Time Out." I could never see that stuff befalling Menewsha. It would be quite a funny little April Fools' joke, though? . . . Oh dear, I hope I'm not instilling ideas in your head. XD; |
