@Minuxe: Yeah, it is hard to find trustworthy people in this world now-a-days. The only one I trust wholeheartedly, almost as much as myself is that same guy who co-created the board with me. We're like brother and sister, perhaps more, but it's just a weird relationship in general. I'd trust him with anything. I have returned from school! <3
(After looking over a few of the latest posts) I've run many message boards in my time (mostly roleplaying) and they all failed...because I didn't trust anyone else to do my job. I overloaded myself, and everything fell apart. I am really bad at doing that. I always take on projects that are too big for myself. Like my last project, a Mixion Roleplay, that I spent over a year working on... I didn't know how to advertise and the only person that joined was a good friend of mine. :/ I am so bad at administrating... (Vanilla Ice Cream + Vanilla Cream Soda = win!) |

@BlackCat: Hiii! Yeah, I understand your frustration with that. We didn't know how to advertise and appeal to the people for the longest time. Shamefully, I'll admit that we sucked up to other boards that were well known and fell into their good graces via affiliate-ship. That's a way to get it done, but NOT the best way because we ended up getting everyone on God's green earth to come and join us. Everyone including the idiots who thought they knew everything. It was chaos sooner than later.
@Minuxe: Yeah, it's really famous. I mean, there's a plate on it and everything that has the history of the movie and what not. It's pretty amazing. If I remember correctly, Tom Hanks himself signed it, as well as a few others from the movie. @Tetsu: Yes, Savannah's full with MANY amazing things. I personally love all the little unique artsy shops that the town has to offer. You won't find some crafts and such anywhere else. |
I like the idea of a ban hammer. They would have to have little ribbons that matched your outfit though. They could also be in metals to match the mods powers. Like admins would have gold hammers, omni-mods with silver and forum specific mods with bronze. :D

Hi guys! I'm doing fine; I just can't forget about my Chemistry homework. Tomorrow is a Minimum Day and so is Friday! Oh. My. God. I just went fishing? And...I made a profit. Okay, it was a one gold profit, but I didn't loose money! 0: I'm stunned! And if I keep posting I'll hit my first 100 time fishing in the lake by the end of today. I feel so proud. :3 I just got home from school, and my sister is already kicking me off the computer. There's one in the front room, but noooo, she has to use this one. She is crying right now. -_- She told me the computer in the front room takes too long to start up. Argh! >.< See you guys later... |

Not to break into your conversation here, but I've had friends that have become moderators on other sites and I've found it's very hard on them to regulate as they are expected and maintain friends they had before they became moderators. This is because some friends expect special treatment from their moderator friends and get offended when they do something like lock their thread. I really feel sorry for moderators for that.
On the other hand, I have known certain moderators (not of this site) that became them only to let it go to their heads shortly thereafter and disown their friends. In that case, I feel sorry for the friends who were left behind in the dust. |
