It's just adorable. I keep wantin to do custom sprites but I haven't gotten that far yet. I remember doing them on Gaia and what a hassle it could turn into if people had too many items. They were just tiny.

Ok the worm story...A long time ago I went into a pet shop and they had these black rubber hoses about an inch thick sorta suspended vertically in fish tanks and I stood and watched them for a while because I couldn't figure out what they were for. There was nothing living in the tank as far as I could see. But they didn't do anything so I got bored and wandered off to look at the kittens. Pretty soon I heard a scream. And this elderly lady was just havin a fit. As it turned out these black rubber hoses were some weird type of aquatic worm, but they could survive for short periods on land, and one had gotten out of the tank and fallen on the womans foot. I have to admit I think I would have screamed too, it was disturbing watching it wriggle around. The guy working there just picked it up and plopped it back in the tank.

About the gold...well you've heard the phrase "Familiarity breeds contempt" I think that sometimes when you are forced to talk to people, you can have small conflicts regardless how nice you are. Something sorta like that happened earlier.

On the flip side the nice thing I read, was based on something Angel and I were telling to a younger member a while back who we are fond of about why hoarding isn't nice. Apparently what we told her really hit home. She did a very nice unselfish thing today and used a phrase I had said to her. Instead of being rebellious, she actually listened. She is a sweet kid.

O__________O I think I would've had a heart attack and died if a thick, black worm fell on me. xD It's funny to hear about her though. Goodness, I think I'll stay further away from fish tanks if I see anything like that. xD!!

D: I like buying CIs...doesn't matter to me if it's expensive or cheap though. ^^; I bought a set from someone who was selling some a lot higher than the marketplace...but she was questing and needed the gold. xD *glad she got the items she wanted* I have a bunch to give to friends and then a couple to hold onto for an art contest to host sometime in the near future. *___*

Well I will tell ya my personal opinion on hoarding...doesn't make it right, just makes it my opinion. I think it's fine if you buy all the store items you want, like the event items, and the contribution items when they come out. Whether you buy them from the exchange or actually with cash. Nothing wrong with that, that to me is an investment. BUT when you are goin around tryin to take advantage of someone selling older items who might not know the current price or just buy all of something older when a person is offering more than one for sale, and you know that it's an item a lot of people want. If you buy it just to turn right around and sell it for more gold or save it to try to force inflation, then to me that is bad hoarding.

...wait, that's hoarding?

I thought hoarding was just buying a lot of items. o_o;

Oh god, what you described is what I just call exchanging. xD *shakes head* Urgh, nah, I don't like that. :/ Which is why I'd rather...stay far away as possible from the Exchange forum. The attitudes there go against what I believe in. >_<;; *doesn't like taking advantage of people*

It's a fine line. But I will tell ya what happened to me last week. I had wanted a certain item, and I had been lookin for it along with a lot of other people. So I found a girl selling one in the middle of the night and before I could offer to buy it another girl who KNEW I along with a lot of others was looking for it, swooped in and bought it. Now I knew it wasn't for her because she was wearing the item when she bought the one we saw. I kid ya not, less than a half hour later she had it up for sale for a considerably higher price and she made sure I knew she had it for sale. I refused to buy it from her. I just waited. I don't need any pixel thing that bad that I have to feed into that. But since then I have seen her trying to buy more of that same item, so yeah that would be hoarding if she is trying to buy as many as she can and save them til they inflate. She is still trying to sell the first one as far as I know, but it's easy to see what her end goal is by her actions.

Edit: I think other people have different interpretations of it. But it's not hoarding to me if you aren't taking anything away from someone directly that is currently plentiful. Does that make sense? I think a lot of people would consider say buying a dozen sets of CI's for later to sell hoarding, but I don't look at it that way.

And it really upsets me to see people doing that. Like actually watching it happen. The whole buying from people who are unaware of prices around here. :/ Won't name names or anything...but I know someone sold a CI set to someone thinking she really wanted it for herself. So she sold it to her really cheap since "we're all friends here." What'd the girl do? Sell it. For way more than what she bought it for. *sighs* T_T

I do have it, I am wearing it. I paid way too much for it, but the person selling it was selling it honestly and they had put a high autobuy which they didn't expect anyone to pay. But I did because I was weary of lookin for it, and in the end she felt bad because I paid so much and tried to make it up to me.
