It took me a year to get the job I have now.. I think they got annoyed by the paperwork I gave them because I handed in a resume every month.

@Stefan: Well, if you can get published and become a writer, that's a job. :yes: And I'm pretty sure that there's no age restriction for being a writer. The good writers do nothing more than write books and other stuff, and they make a pretty decent living off of it too, it seems *is not sure how difficult it is to get published, but thinks it's like one of those "hit-or-miss" deals*

Yeah it's very hard to get published.

Take Rowling for example.
Harry Potter was sent to 20 publishers before finally getting someone to publish it.

Stephen King went through the same troubles, but would never give up. In fact he kept all of his rejection letters. :lol:

Yeah, publishers have specific things they're looking for, and you have to use different formats for each one and so and so... and send them to all sorts of places.

Dimitri; If more than one says yes, they won't publish until you say the okay so you choose which publisher you want to work with.

It's really stupid though... to get published you need an agent but to get an agent you need to be published. -shakes head- The publishing world goes around in circles.
