Mhmm. Well, nowadays they are. I remember being out for a few weeks four years ago when the fires came dangerously close to our house, and affected some of my friends' houses.

Yep, nobody I knew personally was hurt and overall there were only a few and minor injuries. But lots of houses and valuables were burned so some had to start over from scratch and are deeply in the hole financially. :/
