The Wall -:- An Insomniac's Retreat__________
The Wall; covered in graffiti and whatnot. You know the one.- Welcome to The Wall :] The only place for insomniacs to gather and converse, because we're too scattered. The Wall is open between the hours of 9pm and 6am. Graveyard shift.
The Rules_______________________________
Everything needs rules. Well, except for The Wall..- Follow Menewsha's Terms of Service, of course. Other than that, just have fun.
Regulars________________________________
The insomniacs that frequent The Wall more often than most.- Nathuram - The Owner
None else thus far :[

England? I want to visit there some time :] Maybe move there. Either there, Montreal, or somewhere in Asia. I'll be going all over the place once I have the money. I don't know if I can accept a life without knowing what else is out there.
So what are you doing up so late?
EDIT: My girlfriend is forcing me to go watch a show that I can only watch in another room. I might be back, I might now :] In either case, this thread seems to have died. Tomorrow night, though, maybe it'll spring to life.

Ouh~! I'm going to visit!
It's 10:17 PM here, sooo~.
I don't feel like I'm staying up, 'cause everyone in my family's still awake, too. ><;; (I'm a part of a family of night owls who regularly stay up until at least midnight.)
I suppose I'm stayin' up late-ish? xD

It's just 12 here, not very late.

I am. I have a bad habit of screwing my sleep schedule into the wall so that I fall asleep at 10 AM. .__.'' I'm trying to stay on-track, because school starts up in a week and a half.
It's not going particularly well for me. I can already stay up, comfortably, until 1 AM. And counting. o.o

@Bubblegum: Welcome! :] Sorry for the delayed response.
Edit: Yeah, my sleeping schedual is off as well. But last year I would only get 3-4 hours of sleep, and I was set. I'm sure I'll have no problem adjusting.
@Hidari: An insomniac is someone who has trouble getting to sleep, so this is the perfect place for you. And "just 12"? 12pm? As in midnight? That's late for most people.

Yeaaah, that's nothing for me. I usually can't actually sleep until like 3:30, or 2:00 if I did a lot of stuff that day, or my brain pities me. D:
Bubblegum- I tried doing that the other night, too!.. I ended up turning on the tv and watching friends for a couple of hours, drew a bit, made a snack and played the guitar. It's futile. I should drink coffee. Apparently it drains you by the end of the day. D:

3-4 hours? o.o Wow.
I need my sleep. I get at least nine hours. But I stay up really late, too.
I think that's why my schedule gets off so much.
I have trouble both getting to sleep and waking up. I'm one to always want to press the snooze button.
Edit: Hidari: Ohh, god, I am terrible about that. See I try to go to sleep at reasonable hours sometimes, but I can never actually got to sleep. xD;;
I get sleepy when I drink coffee. It's weird! Every time I drink coffee I'll want to fall asleep on the spot.
Maybe I should drink it at night. ><;;

I just don't like sleeping. I've read you can spend up to 20 years of you life sleeping. Think of what you could be doing in that amount of time.
My girlfriend sleeps between 10 and 12 hours every day D: I don't know how she does it. But she makes me go to bed when she does. And her phone died just a few minutes ago, so I have to go soon.. I have to wake up earlier than normal and jump in the shower before her mom picks me up and brings me to her house :] I'm excited; I haven't seen her in a while.
Back to the subject of sleep. I spend the time I don't sleep doing other things like research, playing games, chatting, etc. To me, anything is better than being unconscious.

If I found something that made me sleepy, besides just waking up, I'd exploit it!
Chug chug!
On the other hand, all the good movies come on at night. Like, awful B movies like Attack of the Fridge. XDD

To me, unconscoiusness is bliss for the sheer purpose of dreams. I love dreaming, even if I wake up thinking, "Dammit, that was a dream! D;" They're fun while they last. I don't really get nightmares and such.
It's no fun doing it at night, though.
Well, you're supposed to sleep eight hours a day. That's a third of the day, so it's a third of the average person's life. Wow.
I'm plagued with constant boredom when I'm awake, though. I don't think it'll be that way when school starts again, but in the summer, my family never does anything, and I don't go to camps. There's no real job opportunities because I'm still protected by child labor laws (next year... next year), and I don't volunteer (I don't see the point. I used to help out with the church choir during the school year and trust me, there was no rewarding experience; only massive frustration.). So I haven't got much to do.

I loovee dreaming. I have everything from really vague dreams to reeeaallly in detail dreams, where I know the location and the plot and the characters. It's like a movie. In my head. ;D
I read somewhere that people who dream are the ones disturbed during the night. So, their brain wakes up a bit and produces all these wonderful little slide-shows of crazyness.
I don't have a job either, though (next year for me too. I'm planning on getting a job at Tim's)
Nathuram- Yeah, totally understandable. Will do. ;D

I don't really dream. When I do dream, though, they're either extremely horrible (I've dreamed several times of killing myself.. that wasn't pleasant to wake up to.), or they're so blissful that I become depressed when I wake up because I know it'll never happen. I've never had a nightmare, though. I wouldn't consider a dream about suicide a nightmare, because I've never been scared in any of my dreams.
I'm in the same situation. I live in the middle of nowhere, no job, no friends, no transportation, no money, etc. But I'm fine with it. I'm stress free, and that's important for me. I can't wait until school starts up, though, because then I'll be able to see my friends daily, and my good friend will be back from boot camp and will probably start frequenting my house like normal. Plus once school starts up I'll be able to see my girlfriend every day. I've only seen her 5-6 times the entire summer :[ And she only lives 15 minutes away.
edit:
@fortune: Aww, that's a shame. I love fish. I want to get a large fish at some point. Something like an arrowana, or another large dragon-like fish like that. It's good feng shui in the office :]

D': Poor fishie.
Edit: ><;; People made posts while I was thinking!
Hidari: My dreams are usually like, things I always wish would happen. They're normal days at school, with my friends, and everything I wished would happen at school happens in my dreams. That's what makes them so much fun!
It would make sense I guess, because I never remember to turn my TV off before I go to sleep. I just kinda conk out. xD And I have really vivid dreams. But they never have anything to do with anything that comes on -- what do infomercials do to your dreams?
Nathuram: I certainly don't live in the middle of nowhere; I live in a huge city. Doesn't do a damn bit of good; I live far away from all my friends, and I can't drive. So I'm stuck in the house.
I'm normally completely without stress during the summer, but there's a hurricane headed my way and it's probably going to be really bad. Due here in about a week, which means I have a week to worry about everything that might happen.

I can't have small fish because my cats would eat it. So if I got a fish, it'd have to be the size of a cat, or larger.
I moved one of my computers out into my livingroom. I'm currently laying on a comfortable couch watching a 52" screen tv with surround sound, covered in a blanket, with a keyboard on my lap and a mouse on a sketchbook near me. The monitor is sitting on a footrest a foot away from me. Seriously.. this is amazing. I'd live like this if I could xD Unfortunately my mom and brother are comming home tomorrow, and I'll have to move everything back and return to my room computer :[

Fortune: My friend has a bunch of koi. They keep dying though; we can't figure out why.
Nathuram: O: Cushy. I have a laptop, sitting on my bed with a...normal-sized TV on the other side of the room.
I hate using the family computer. Too public. For some reason, I feel a lot more comfortable in the privacy of my own room. (I've got everything I may want in here, too. Except maybe snacks.)

Privacy is my highest priority. The only reason I'm out here is because the only person that was going to be home this week was my dad, and he's either at work or upstairs on his computer until he gets to bed. I like having the freedom of going anywhere downstairs without having to worry about someone else being here or walking in on me (Not that I'd be doing anything wrong, I just dislike people walking in and out of the room I'm in).
