And now the most dreaded of parts... Some of us love them, some of us loathe them, but we will all respect them and make them our god, or pay the price. Welcome, my precious ones, to the Rules. -Basic Menewshan ToS applies at all times, so no funny stuff. I'm serious. It's common knowledge if you break it, you'll get bannz0red, anyways, so just do yourself the favour. D8 Nobody likes a rebel. - Don't be a hero, Billy. - Respect all those around you at all times. D< You can damn well leave any internet drama at the door, when you enter my domain, you're polite and you always tip your waitress. I am typically friendly, and so I try to get along with everyone. Don't like someone in my thread that I do? That's great, don't take it out on me, take it elsewhere. I don't care if user A comes into my thread, we chat it up, then user B comes in to start a conversation with me, but encounters A and you two are enemies from rival households. I will treat you both equally, politely, and with respect, so please maintain the same attitude while you're here, and no bad mouthing. - Don't make me angry. You won't like me when I'm angry. - While for the most part I can be a sweetheart, I am antisocial to a fault, and a bitch. I won't sugarcoat that in the least. if you start something, be most assured I'll finish it, especially if you're being a needless ass. - Please, and this applies especially to our ranters, watch your mouth. As you will obviously note, some of us can have rather colourful language when provoked, and I respect that, especially when you just want to let loose and hold nothing back. However, I am aware that it makes some users uncomfortable, so just watch yourself some if you can. Basically, even if my language makes you feel uncomfortable, don't hesitate to tell me so, though I cannot necessarily promise I'll oblige, I will tone down. Just don't go shooting the eff word off every other sentence and you're golden with me. - Try not to be rude, crude, lewd, or shrewd, even if we all like to rhyme. It's just in poor taste. Leave it to the professionals like my pervacious self. ;D - While I haven't found it to be much of a problem without Menewsha's hallowed halls as of yet, the very spine chilling notion still keeps me up at night in a cold sweat. Please, literacy is required. Don't make the rare, elusive and beautiful literate an endangered species as I've seen it become on far too many forums. This includes, but is not limited to, no chatspeak! Try stretching out your sentences into full words, you earn more gold that way. "Hi, how are you?" Is better than, "yo how u?" any day. ot the spelling, the grammar, the punctuation. Smell it, taste it, embrace it, love it. Like wise, no l33t speak. I cut j00 b4ddz0rz. Only you can prevent n00b fires. Please, spay and neuter your illiterates and help control the idiot population. - Absolutely NO needless flaming. Or flaming whatsoever. Even if the user is new and not the brightest of bulbs. If you see a poor misguided soul in here, try to encourage them to follow the rules and better explain how they should be using their time, rather than spamming up the place. If you are one of those misguided souls, who isn't as misguided as you'd have us believe, who blatantly disregards the rules, and will not listen to reason or helpful encouragement, I WILL be forced to blacklist you. - Do not badger anyone excessively with matters that pertain outside this thread! I don't care if so and so owes you money/art, take it up with them elsewhere, PMs if necessary. -If you see anything that you deem grossly inappropriate taking place in my thread either by myself or a visiting user, please take it up with me first before running to the staff, as I'm sure I can likely resolve the matter easily. -From time to time, users are likely and encouraged to post up photos, art, written work, what have you, in this thread. Do NOT EVER under any circumstances, take anything that doesn't belong to you at any time, as I WILL find you and hurt you. Badly. Like, they'll be identifying you by your toenails. - More rules to be added as I deem necessary. Ahh, and now, for a personal favourite... What Hangout thread would be complete without a Regs section! Yes, here is where we will keep track of all those users who keep company within these thread walls enough to be deemed regs. Our resident bar flies, sans bar, if you will. ;D New in the neighbour? Yes, so, every so often when desire strikes me, I'll hit you lot up with a chance to win some shiz. Art, money, items? Who knows? Will it be for a certain post, a poetry contest, in thread avy contests? None of the above? Again, who knows! Raaawr, and now we lead you to the Omake section! What is omake, you ask? Omake (お負け but often written オマケ) means extra or bonus in Japanese. Among other things, the term is used to describe what in English are called 'Special Features' on DVD releases: deleted scenes, interviews with the actors, "the making of" documentary clips, out-takes, amusing bloopers, and so forth. However, this use of the term actually predates the DVD medium by several years. So why an omake post here, you ask? Well, haven't you ever just wanted an excuse to post silly things? Basically this shall be the hot spot for all recent and random/silly doodles, quotes, events, or what have you that takes place in the thread, that doesn't fit in the contest or any other section. <3 Currently on the board? :: Naddah. And so, we bring you, the Rants and Rambles section, aka the bitching corner, for those of us with fouler mouths when we're less than peachy. While you're more than welcome to come and vent here until your heart's content any time, sometimes it's just not on topic with current conversations, or it's just too juicy not to be shared! So here we will be hosting our rants of the moment, be they thread related, Menewsha related, life related, art related, or otherwise. Though these will most pertain to Matthew and myself, if you feel you have a really heavy rant that deserves some notice, give it a nomination and float it my way to tack up here for everyone to see! *Note: It is up to the ranter's discretion whether or not they'd like input posted specifically on their rant, please let me know what you'd prefer.
