I have a whole family like that. <3 It's normal!

>> Dun put too much faith in what I say is 'normal' actualy is, though. XD Still, being that close with people makes me happy, so I can't complain.

Keeps me from screaming at the mirrors and getting pissed off because the person on the other side mocks me. D<

ALRIGHT. NEW. :O Hmm. . . I guess I should do the whole "introduce yourself" shindig like was asked of me in the first post. So without further ado. . .

Nickname:
Wendy! (Windy, Wendy? Play on words.)
Age: Seventeen. I will be eighteen, a legal adult in the US, on December 8th!
Time Zone: GMT -5 (East Coast of US).
Favorite midnight snack: Oh god, popcorn. Or any type of candy. Sugary starchy stuff keeps me up all night.
Lamest tv show you watch during the wee hours: Eh, I don't watch lame stuff. I end up popping in OLD DISNEY CLASSIC CARTOON MOVIES! You know. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Bambi. . . Nothing like a great movie to keep you hooked all night. ;D

So glad that I found a place on Menewshan Nations that actually describes me! Honestly, even Lunesta or any other sleeping pill wouldn't help me. I'm a lost cause when it comes to insomnia.

As for the actual TOPIC. . .

What's your busy schedule like?

Uh. Busy. Hectic. Hellish. Yeah, that's it in a nutshell. I'm a constant worrier, so I'm always concerned about what I have to do. Hence, NO SLEEP AT ALL, WHATSOEVER. My anxiety is unhelped as well -- guess that's why my insomnia ceases to go away. Oh well.

Do you enjoy having your time alloted like that or do you like to just go with the flow?

I hate it. I want to do be able to do what I really want. >_< It's so unfair. . . why can't I be unemployed and filthy rich. Then I could stay up all night just because I COULD. I'd be nocturnal out of choice, not just cause my work keeps me busy.

Is your schedule filled with things you want to do or things you have to do?

THINGS I HAVE TO DO. >_< It's hell. Really. School is something totally pointless -- I don't need it. And with college coming up soon, I'm only worrying more. . . and that means more work is on the way! >_>

How does your lack of sleep affect how you view your schedule?

. . . Doesn't affect how I view it, per se. I don't have TIME to view it one way or the other, and I can't even begin to describe it. My schedule is whack because I don't sleep, I guess. And then, I end up taking a nap after school, wake up early in the evening, then stay up all night to do my homework and go to school when day breaks. THAT'S how it affects my schedule. Not necessarily how I view it.

SO, HOW IS EVERYONE!? :]

Welcome Wendy! ^.^ Glad you could come by! I'm EST too. Eastside's where it's at yo! (I really don't talk like that... honest)

I would also love to be unemployed and filthy rich. Its actually my life goal. Yup. Just to do whatever the heck I want when ever the heck I want to.

Currently I am unemployed though... and it sucks. It's only been a week and I'm going stir crazy and staying up really late. I need some structure I can't wait to find a new job ^.^

Good to have you here!

I'm happy to be here, Michelle, thanks!

You're lucky you're ABLE to have a job. The parents won't even let me get a job during my college years -- they've insisted they'll pay for everything, but what about the things I want, hmm? Who's gonna pay for my video games? They definitely won't -- I need a job to supply my desires! D:

But yeah -- EAST COAST, REPRESENT, YO. >w<

I think in the long run, your parents are correct. Well not as far as not having any money for leisure, but I mean for being able to learn work free. It'll take a lot of pressure off. I know a lot of my friends on both ends of the spectrum. Those that had to have a job all through college had a much harder time concentrating, and took out their frustrations and need for relaxation to the extreme, eventually neglecting what needs to be done.

But I do think you should have someway of relaxing. And lets face it... that takes money

I'm having movie night with my boyfriend right now... so I won't be online a lot, but I wanted to check in and say hello ^.^

Welcome to Insomnia Rin! I'm sorry if I missed you.

Movie night is finally over for me. I watched Silence of the Lambs and Young Frankenstein. And then some music DVDs of Pink Floyd.

Heh, found this thread while lurking around Mene..like always. And technically, this really doesn't apply to be at the moment considering it's morning and I've just woken up, but I'm sure it'll come in handy maaannny times later on. XD

Nickname: Bob, XP
Age: 14 (soon 15)
Time Zone: GMT -4 hours
Favorite midnight snack: And type of ice cream...or chocolate, or just lots of caffinated stuff.
Lamest tv show you watch during the wee hours: I haven't really been watching TV recently, more like watching random anime or asian dramas on the computer.

Yay, another insomniac! Welcome, Bob! :o

Well, I didn't get much sleep last night -- OBVIOUSLY. And it's due part to my worrying about school stuff -- that junk that I'm scrambling to get done today. Oh, I have so much stuff. . . so many college applications to worry about. Bah, what to do, what to do.

Sleeping it off wouldn't work. I CAN'T SLEEP. >_<

Ahh, thanks Windy. XD

And I know what you mean, I hate when all my worries come to me at night, and it's perfectly fine during the day. Poor you though, collage stuff are super stressing, I'm so glad I could worry about that stuff next year. Hehe..

But you know what, sometimes listening to my iPod hels me sleep, just turn the volume on low, and try to push all your thoughts away. But, like I said, SOMETIMES.

Good morning everyone!
@Shadow: I know how that is, my boyfriend just watches me while I'm on the computer for a bit and it's like someone trying to read the newspaper over your shoulder. Then I just storm off the computer and let him get on. I can't be on comfortably with someone reading every word I type.

@avicat: that completely sucks. I feel greedy for getting six hours after seeing that you only had two. Hopefully you'll be able to take a nap at some point.

@Bob: Welcome! I'm always here, no matter what time of the day. A lot of us are, but it's nice to have a meeting place for when we can't sleep.

@Windy: Worrying is so bad for wanting to fall asleep. Usually when I can't sleep it's because I'm worrying too much.

@Bob: I am tired but... I get hyper after a depression episode o_O I'm manic depressive so it was just me going on my downcycle. I think that was the worst of it. I'm still depressed but... Not AS depressed. So I'm happy for that.

@Michelle: Morning, Michelle! =D

Yes, I'm crazy, but you'll get used to my insanity... I hope o-o

But yeah, according to my doctor and my dad I'm manic depressive, and i completely believe them... I think I'm getting closer to my mini-manic stage x-o

Okie dokie, Little. XD Hehe, I'm seeing you on different threads. And yea, you don't have to worry, I'm crazy and insane..so my friends say.

And psh, what do doctors do, all that proves they're a doctor is a super messy handwriting that no one could read, except the pharmacy and maybe that explains why they give out the wrong medicine.

lol xD Actually, if the handwriting is all that's really required, then I have the requirements. My therapist can't read my handwriting, and she calls it doctor's handwriting. I'm like "so I'm a doctor now?" ...I told my psychiatrist, stupidly, and she simply said "I resent that statement." It was sorta funny actually.

Yay! Multi-threads! xD

Thanks guys! My mom is manic depressive so I know what it's like a little. I know you can be in a lot of physical and emotional pain that way... your body torn into pieces that your mind created.

It sucks, but I hope your doctor will be able to help you cope.
