Man, I really need to get out into the forums .__.
I had no clue there was a hangout for cosplay or I would have been on it like a hobo on a biscuit XD I'm kind of new to cosplay actually, as far making the entire thing goes. I've done it for about 4 years but I always used to buy the pieces. I've done Kakihara from Ichi the Killer Noata from FLCL and my most recent and the one I made entirely is my Bridget from guilty Gear The Naota and Kakihara ones are such ugly pictures of me XD I'm thinking about doing Ada from Resident Evil 4 for next year's Ohayocon ^^;; edit: This just came to me, if I could get my lazy ass up and start exercising, I might just do a Zero suit Samus Cosplay :O |

eep! this thread moved and i was panicking cause i couldn't find the cosplay thread and it made me sad! i am so excited about the con in April that i am going to though. looking at everyones costume makes me even more excited!

So this past weekend I did a schoolgirl with a keyblade, just due to most of my outfits are a 2 hour plane trip away, so I had nothing to wear. It went over quite well, and it was great fun.

I wanna see more cosplay photos too :P Maybe this'll motivate me to finally update my cosplay site (only because it hasn't been properly updated since 2006). A lot of my friends also make cosplay "portfolios" -- where they put together photos of their reference pictures, fabric samples, and their actual cosplay pictures in a binder. It also shows pictures of them having fun modeling/posing at conventions or other places. I have no idea why people make those, though. By the way, how many people besides me are on Cosplay.com?? I know Patchy's part of it, now who else? Oh yeah I'm Chibi Plush Toy on there, Princess Kail on Cosplaylab, and I forgot my username for ACP coz I don't use it!! |
I'm on cosplay.com as starsparkle and cosplaylab.com as starsparkle333. I haven't added any of my pictures to cos.com yet though.
In terms of portfolios, I keep reference images on my computer in folders for each character. It will usually include screenshots, official art, fanart as well as lists of things I need to do/make. Then any pictures I have afterwards just go into my photo folders. |
I just cosplayed a schoolgirl, it was my first time in a skirt at all, it was fun, but something that I would not like normally getting that attention. Otherwise though I had a huge keyblade that has an awesome pose for.

I have an account on cosplay.com too but I don't visit there so often.. I don't even get how you add photos to your own cosplays 8-D only the display pic.
I only have two costumes there so far.. I think that the portfolio idea sounds fun! I always like to take photos of my "work in progress" anyways, so I could easily do it :) |
Yea cos.com confuses me a little with their system. Especially with all the site changes. I mostly have an account there to post on the forums. cosplaylab only lets you post one pic but it's soooo much easier.

I have a cosplay.com and a cosplaylab.com account. I'm pinshichocokoreto on both, though on cosplaylab the 'P', 'S', and the 'C' are all capitalized. I don't know if it matters, but meh^-^;

My goal is to learn the Haruhi dance just for the sole purpose of knowing it. I think it's cute. At this point though, doing dances at cons, especially as a masq. skit is a little over-played.
