Sweeeeeet a cosplay thread <3
The only con I go to is A-Kon in Dallas TX. It's the first one I ever went to, and the only one I want to go to lol. My cosplay lab account isn't that great since there isn't that much in it. http://www.cosplaylab.com/cosplayers...memberid=20254 I can't sew yet so my mum and sister have to make the costumes for me and my mum always alters the costumes so that they're too long. I'm 19 and she's way too over protected. But this year, I'm going with just my fiance so my costume will finally be accurate because my sister is making it for me. I'm going as Eureka and my fiance is going as Renton, both from Eureka 7. Its our first couple cosplay x3 He's also going as Trunks, his favorite DBZ character. So far, all we have are the wigs. I was doing art commissions for paypal on another game to save up to be able to buy the materials for our costumes but my fiance keeps insisting that he wants to help pay for them so I don't have to worry so much. Just have to wait for him to come home again lol |
Good luck with your Eureka costume! I always thought hers was pretty.
RE: Parents wanting costumes to be long. I've always made my own so I don't need to worry about it so much. But at the same time, I always just make sure i don't pick costumes that aren't totally short. But oh boy... when I finally finished my Meilin battle outfit and walked out in it... There were shorts under, but the way it was cut... it didn't look like it. *sweatdrop* Coat is still cut fabric. Visitor this weekend + arrival of Super Smash Bros Brawl is severely delaying plans. |
I sooo want to do a cosplay! but I have to save money for the wedding.. I wont be able to go to any events until june. :(

I've finally cut out my pieces, the sewing will commence tonight! And srsly.. it will. Although perhaps with some Super Smash breaks during the process. :3 |

Yeah. Wedding is more important than cosplay for me now :D <3 it's a one of kind of experience, I should make the best of it.

I bet it's going to be lovely. Lots of planning, but you need to so that you can look back at it together, years later, and remember how awesome it all was!

Anyway I signed up for Cosplay chess for this year's Comic Con. NOT Anime Expo, but Comic Con! Hopefully I'll have my costume done by then coz you know how I get, hella lazy and stuff. No actually I've been working a lot lately, on three projects all at once XD Wait, no make that four. I refurbished my KH1 Aerith costume to use for this year because I just want to use it to stand out from all the other billion Aeriths that'll show up at the conventions I'll be going to. 'Coz like yeah, there's gonna be Advent Children Aeriths, KH2, Crisis Core, etc...so I'm definitely trying not to blend in with them. |
One week exactly till I'm at Anime Boston!!

Oooh! A cosplay thread!
xD! I've got a cosplay in the works for Tekkoshocon, my local convention [runs Apr 11-13 this year]. I also worked that con as reg. last year, and most definitely again this year. I'll be going as Ruki (from the GazettE) from their PV 'silly god disco' [waiter version]. Yeah, I cosplay jrock. Heh. My one and only [which was also my first] anime cosplay was of Yuki Sohma [Fruits Basket]. It was so terrible. xD Uhh, I've got a cosplay.com account, but theres really nothing on it. But I'll prolly post a link after this con is over, I should definitely have pics of the costume. ^^ Oh, and I've been to Otakon 2005-2007, and will be there again in 2008. Most likely same exact costume as Tekko. And if I somehow come into some money, then possibly maya (from LM.C) 'Bell the CAT'. |

@Eevee: Your Aerith costume looks really good. I also like that you made Sora's charm and Kairi's necklace. They look really good. @Elphey: Holy crap you look young, but it's all good. And the costume looks really good as well. You really got the marks on the face pretty perfect. @Sagitar: I probably said this before, but congratulations on your wedding! They are always so fun. xD That, and I don't know enough anime to dress as any of them. Maybe Ritsuka (Loveless), but, eh. I don't feel like being mistaken as a random catboy. xD |
I had a couple friends who did a Loveless cosplay together. I don't know the names of the characters.. but they were popular. (2 girls... in relationship... cosplaying 2 guys.... you figure it out)

Fiarra: That sounds hot XD A couple of friends and I are doing Eureka Seven for 2009...well actually Zaner on here (he never ever logs on) is gonna be Renton and Digital Kakashi is gonna be Eureka. XD I so wanna know what the result is. As for me I'm planning on Gidget. FINALLY I found a character with tan skin I can actually relate to! But that's not till next year ^_^
