A shame, but I'm looking at it as a chance to get it perfect for Connecticon which is the first weekend of August!
I sadly only got pictures of my Saturday outfit. I was dumb and forgot to ask for my bf to take one on Friday. [1] [2] The shirring at the top of the dress makes me look larger up there than I really am. xD |

I wish I could get to a con. But they're all so far away from me, and require more than one day of absence from work (adding travel time and time to poke around) - my job really doesn't allow for much time off.
I'd love to try my hand at a detailed cos. I've done a few 'five minute' throw togethers for challenges, but nothing serious. I think my FFVII Turks outfit is probably the most detailed cos I have, since I've used it at several parties. But that's not really the same, ne? |

I live smack in the middle of the boring state of Kansas. It does't matter if I'm driving to Omaha, anywhere in Texas, Illinois.... any of the areas in the Midwest that might have a con - they're all quite the drive for me.
And sadly, while I have Sunday off, I do work both Friday and Saturday. So I'd have to take some time off to get the most out of my weekend. Right now I am one of TWO people in my department. They won't be approving any requests for a while. Not until we get some more help. XP But that doesn't stop me from dreaming! ^_^ (and playing dress up with what I can.) - I actually had a dream the other day that I went to one of the nearby cons, and took my son as Sora, while I was Jessie (a little known character) from FFVII. I spent most of the dream talking about cell phone themes and graphic design, but my son had fun. In the dream... |

I'm going to Fanime this year. Which is in about 2 months. I haven't decided on whom I'll cosplay yet... I was planning on being an original character at first, but I decided against it ultimately because nobody would know who I am. And now.. I'm stuck trying to decide who to cosplay. -.- It sucks. Just like last year and the year before, I'll probably just end up not cosplaying. Gah! I have no confidence in the matter. And I'm a perfectionist in that, I don't even want to start a project if I think it won't look awesome on me or something. Dx I wish I could just.. make an uber cool costume that compliments me perfectly and dance around a con! But... like I said, I lack the confidence. (grumble mumble) |
Hey guys! Wow, has it been a while since I posted here. Anyways, I'm back from the con, but I won't have the pictures developed for another week. I hope that it's only that. Well, I get paid in two days, so it'll be ok^-^ I didn't get a picture of me in my Gaia outfit, so that's one of the things you won't see. I bought a kimono at the convention and took pictures of me in it. You'll get to see that. I'll post pictures of my best friend in her Itachi costume, mind you that it isn't completely finished all the way.
We already have ideas about costumes for next year. Were gonna go as: -Itachi/Sasuke -Shikamaru/Temari -And maybe our OC's. Man this is going to be expensive, especially since I'm working on getting into college. Well...talk to you guys later. <3 Pink |

Yaaay it's back ^^ I wonder where everyone else went too or the fact that I haven't been spending as much time on here as I should be. How is everybody? *hugs Sagitar for bringing thread back up* I've been working on cosplay <3 but I needa wash one of my fabrics...it's stinky o.o probably b/c from the store because I keep my fabrics generally clean. Wouldn't hurt to preshrink though.
I made TWO skirts this week...and they're way too wide, so I either got a bigger pattern than needed or I lost weight o.O which is good. Can't wait for SDCC Comic Con! I'll try to get Saturday off because that's the date of the Final Fantasy gathering I'm hosting <33 If anyone wants to go, PLEASE feel free to drop by and even join in on the fun!! |

LOL oh gosh they're just skirts XD nothing special. I'll probably use my webcam on it later when I'm not lazy. OF COURSE I care about this thread XD I LOVE cosplay!
