I would imagine this thread being more about real life cosplayers.
Though your avi reminds me of a character that I can't remember right now, did you try and dress it up as anyone?

@Sagitar: What made you scrap the mirror's edge idea, I thought it was very interesting. o_o; I was going to say, I have her bag, if you want me to send it. (official mirror's edge promo from my work, still in the plastic) It's just taking up space in my cramped wardrobe.
If not Faith, who are you working on currently?
I got my eyes checked, so I shall have different frames this year. Too bad Franny can look like a granny all too easily with the wrong frames. I must remember to get a case that can withstand a beating when I go, something safe to tuck them in while in the halls or posing. This way I wont be half blind trying to read prices in the dealer's room; Along with messages, rosters, and subtitles on the big screen. (Saw some Hellsing episodes after only reading the manga version.) Voices sounded totally different than what I made them sound like in my head. I thought Seras Victoria would have a deep/tougher female voice. I barely made out what she was squeaking.
If I stayed with the hope of going as Rip Van Winkle from Hellsing (manga version) I would be able to get away with glasses. ._.
But I would rather concentrate on fixing my present costume rather than scramble around to make a whole new one. Lack of sewing machine is also a great contributor to my slowness.
(If I vas a varevulf, vude Father Anderson still have luff for me?)

I have done a few cosplays in my day, but I don't have pictures of most of them. I don't like wearing wigs, so I limit myself to blonde / brown / redhead females with shoulder length hair. It's worked out alright so far.
Misty from pókemon, complete with a togepi stuffed animal (not pictured).
-I made the Ash hat my friend is wearing from: plain white hat + spray paint + green sharpie.
-My friend's mom made the pikachu head out of green foam. The mouth is see-though.
-Pikachu looks sexy here because the costume was made for her 8 year old sister, and went down to her feet. Sexy pikachu is also wearing matching legwarmers.
I changed the shorts for halloween:
Elie from Rave Master:
Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas (I made the entire dress, and made a red yarn wig. That took forever! Everyone at fanime con loved it, I was stopped every 10 feet for pictures.
Suu from Clover (black outfit):
I got super amped for comic-con 2008 and decided to make a Haruko costume and a mamimi costume, bought all the fabric, and never made either of them. the fabrics were expensive too, because I actually bought plether fabric so it would be shiny. so hopefully I'll get around to it.

I want to do these cosplays:
Ashe from Final Fantasy 12:
Kairi from Kingdom Hearts 2:

Yay for Misty! She's a fun character.
DD: I am so behind on my cosplay plans. I have fabric for one, but I need to start cutting. And I need to rip a bunch of seams on another and re-make pieces of it. And I have three weeks left. x_x

Yeah, she was actually very last minute. MY friend's little sis was going as pikachu, and I already had red suspenders, shorts, and red converse high tops, so I went to target and bought a kids yellow shirt and cut off the sleeves and... voila! Misty!

I don't know, I've played the game and she looks easy to cosplay =3
I'd love to have her bag but I doubt you'd like to ship it over to Finland xD
thanks for the offer anyway, you are so kind. (:
I've been away once again.. Dx bad me!
I'm so lost with my cosplay ideas though, the con is in two months,
and I have no money whatsoever :( I think I even have to loan money to
actually get there.. the hotel reservation is uncancellable so I'd have to
pay for it anyway..
padfootsys pics gave me an idea though, if my hair stays like this I could easily cosplay Misty xP now I even have the belly to show off. haha

Cosplayyyyy. ~Drools~
With that aside, I love to cosplay. Anime Expo 2009 is coming up for me so I'm getting ready for my Bleach cosplays. If anyone would like to see them, I'll gladly post up pictures of me cosplaying. >w<

I think someone just need to occasionally post something to bring it back to the top. I didn't even know this was here and there must be many cosplay fans that haven't noticed this thread yet either.
But I'd still love to see your cosplay pictures ^_^
I have yet to make it to a convention. Mostly because the one's nearby are small and lame. And everytime a better one is coming up I seem to not have the money (I want to have a good amount of money because I know I will want to buy a lot ^_^) or I'm too busy.
But I have made one cosplay outfit so far. Bleach- Ichigo's shinigami form with his hallow mask. Not his Ban Kia (sp?) form, but his regular one wiht the huge sword (I made the sword out of 3 thin sheets of wood so it would be 3-D, it is also 4 feet in lenght-- 1' handle and 3' blade-- that is my most loved part of the costume ^_^)
This year I want to do a character from one of the dot hack series. I haven't decided yet what character though.
If anyone has a suggestion I would happily hear it. I would prefer not to do a character that wears a dress or barely anything at all, so don't suggest that :).
Sorry for the half a book. I guess I was rambling :P

It has been so long since I signed on here. I find myself more and more leaning towards offline life. As for Otakon, my plans have been shot down due to drama at the BF's home. My priority is making sure he gets his own place, so the money must go towards the first couple months rent. (paid upfront) I guess this gives me time to work on the costume more, add another for next year even. I am disappointed in not seeing the capcom, activision, etc. representatives.. but what can I do? I am sure if I met them they would already be bombarded with tons of people trying to get their attention and shoving their work and ideas down their throats as if they cared. I am a bit upset but I would rather my bf be in a safe and secure environment. Hopefully we can get his friend to lure them back to next years con, but that is just wishful thinking on my part.

Yay the thread lives! I'm glad I poked it up so we got a few more visitors. :)
Just for that, I will post a couple pics of my latest cosplay.
The character is Chidori from Persona 3. She is supposed to be creepy and non-smiley.. which I am afraid I look silly trying to emulate. =X

Hee. I made the axe out of styrofoam and coated it heavily in sealant so that it would all smooth. I need to re-paint the white. I forgot my silver paint and only had white at the time.

You need to find the link to the image (right click on it and select "copy image location"). Then you copy that link into the little box that pops up when you click on this box above the posting box:

Thank you, hopefully it works now ^_^; If it does, I have a pic of the sword itself. It's 4 feet long XD I know it's outta place, but I jsut had to have kon on my shoulder XP I made him from felt.
I hope it's ok that I just redid this post since I was kinda just wasting space with my screw-ups.
I only used photobucket because someone on here told my it was the easiest way to put pic on here. I'm not sure about easy, there is like a dozen codes you can choose from. Is it possible to put pics on here from a normal computer folder, that's where all my stuff is.

*looks at tags* Ah I see.
When you're on photobucket, you want to just copy what's in the IMG code option. That will automatically format it to show the image.

yeah, kon is always hanging on his shoulder, though not when he's using his hallow mask, but I just had to have him XD Not sure if you noticed, I have one mistake with the costume, actually just in the picture. You know how he has a red linked sash thing hanging over his shoulder, I forgot to put it on for the pics. I was soo mad/depressed that I forgot it, that's his unique piece with the shinigami clothes. And I had made it, I spent hours on it because I cut out each link separately and hot glued them together-- I made it from red felt.
We must be in opposite time zones. You're always on in my midnight to two AM.
Does it seem like we're the only two people on here?
