for example Yuko from xxxholic is pretty booby person xP and almost every girl on Shuffle! (: then ofcourse there are game characters like Tifa from Final Fantasy. I guess I have a pretty classic body type, so I don't really have that problem.. my boobs are kind of 'adjustable' xD they can look big or small with little effort. (: |
Don't forget that chick from Love Hina (the one w/ the ahoge and the glasses she didn't wear all the time . . . what's her name?). The top DD anime crowd is quite populous.
|
@mwahhaha: true true and just curious, does it take you a couple of times to type your name? cause I kept trying to and I kept typing "muwhahah" or "Mwahaha" XDD just love the name!
|
If you're on the huge side of things when it comes to chest size, there's always armor and corsets to help you flatten them.
Though those can also work on the reverse and do otherwise. >w> I'm thinking of going for a corset that doesn't support my boobs when I do a particular pettanko cosplay. Wait. Pettanko COSPLAYS. Plural. I've had the knack for flat chested lolis lately. ...And people go/suggest for the full bodied women. T_T Then again that's my body type. D: The beauty of costuming... Is when you really DO transform. |
@YamiSora haha, thanks ^-^ It took me a bit at first to get my name right. now I've got it down. it's like mwah (like a kiss) then haha, but the plus is that it's totally like mwahaha (evil laugh), too.
so did you end up wearing your Ryuk slippers for halloween? |
@mwahaha: Oh i get it! XDD very nice! anyways, nah I didn't. it's cause my friends and i went to hollywood and walked down it and I knew that those slippers wouldn't last.
and BTW: NEVER go to Hollywood on halloween!!!! It's crowded as heck when you get there and traffic even worse! >.< |
@YamiSora oh, yeah. if you were walking outside, it was probably the wise choice to leave them at home. Did people recognize your costume? Hollywood on Halloween? heehee, i believe it's crowded, but it sounds like it could be crazy fun. :3
|
@Mwahhaha: Nah, looks here and there but nobody came up to me and said i was Light or anything...........actually my plushie Ryuk got more looks! XDD
|
@YamiSora: oh, well, I guess that would happen if you weren't at a convention or a highly anime-ified area of the country. aw, I just noticed your avi isn't dressed like sora anymore.
I was trying to find some threads to make my avi look like matt from death note, but no such luck. I only recently realized that my avi's glasses sorta look like his, but I'll just have to try for someone else. **shrug** @EVERYONE hey does anyone here bind their tatas when cosplaying? cuz I have no idea how to do it. I attempted it for my last cosplay (b/c Haruhi from OHSHC is a flatty), but it kept coming undone. :/ |
@mwahhaha: oh yea, causer of the halloween stuff i've been trying to make him look like a heartless, but not enough money to to get full black clothing stuff.......right now I'm trying for red santa Sora in time for the holidays! ;DD
|
@YamiSora: Oh yeah, the holidays! That'll be neat. It would be cool to see him as a heartless. I hadn't thought to get ready for Christmas dress up. I just blew my saved up Mello cosplay stash on a pocket watch for my avi. . . it is pretty though :3
Do you yourself ever cosplay as Sora? |
@mwahhaha: yea, it's actually my very first cosplay LMAO KH2 Sora original outfit, like my avi had! XDD
if you go on my profile and look at the photo albums, you can see my real life gummi ship! ^^ |
@YamiSora: sweet! **runs to profile and photo albums** that's so cool! i bet that was fun to make. :3 I like your art btw.
|
@mwahhaha: heh heh well, my dad made most of it and whatnot (which I love hgim for becaus ehe always helped me make my keyblade! XDD), but painting it was great!
and thankies, though those arts were basically projects in painting class, but i'm proud of them anywho! LMAO |
@YamiSora: You MADE your keyblade, too? that's rad. do you have any pics of how that turned out? The only thing I'll have to make for my upcoming cosplaying is the costumes. And it would be nice to sorta have an Elizabeth to follow me around (I'm going as Katsura from Gintama), but I suppose that would be a person in cosplay or a plushie not a wood shop type of a thing. :/
|
@mwahhaha: nah not yet, but once I go back home in dec. then I'll be sure to get pics of them too! and I myself might stop making cosplays and will probably have to buy them. Since I've gotten into college i've had absolutely no time for cosplay except to wear it. So, i'll have to see, but it looks like money will be my savior! XP
|
Yeah, I'd like to see those pictures. I understand about not having the time. Not to worry, though. I've seen lots of good premade cosplay costumes. Who are you thinking of going as next?
|
hmmm, i was actually thinking yesterday of that because I went to a PMX and I probably will MAKE the cosplay renton from Eureka Seven and Jacuzzi from Baccano. As for buying, I plan to do Osaka in summer uniform from Azumanga Daioh.
|
XD Osaka! yes! she was awesome. I bet you'll have tons of fun w/ that. . . just randomly start talking about hemorrhoids and staring at those vision bubble things.
Ooo, a Baccano cosplay would be fun. I love the way everyone in that show is dressed. :3 I don't know much about Eureka Seven though, except that people go "O.O GASP!" When I admit to not having seen it. God willing, I'm going to ACEN again this year with a cosplay for each day. Each character though has basically the same hair style, so I'm trying to grow mine out so I don't need a wig. :x |
oh yea thats always good. thats usually why I choose brown short haired people because thats my natural hair XDD and it happens that most of them are the main character and I ALWAYS try to be the main character.......IDK why but I just do, no matter what I love them! ^^
oh yea, and I also decided to cosplay as Simon from Gurren Lagann! |
Oh, simon would be fun! I love those goggles he wears. You know, now that you mention it. . . there really are a LOT of short brown haired main characters in anime. Hmmm.
Well my ((hopeful)) cosplays are Katsura from Gintama, Tenma from School Rumble, and Sunako from The Wallflower. I've also wanted to go as (post scar) Mello from Death Note and Rock Lee from Naruto for a long time. Hopefully I'll get to do those soon, but not before I figure out how to make fake burn scars. there was a panel on making gore or something at my last convention, but I didn't go because I figured most of the gore would be too gross for me. **cringe** |
ah yea, I understand that...usually you can find tutorials on either cosplay.com or youtube.
though, I don't cosplay.com.....their method of putting pictures up is too complicated and its slow for some reason XP thats why my cosplays are either on acparadise.com or devainart.com |
oh you're on deviant art? What's your username? I'm on there mostly to look at other people's works. there's some good stuff on there for all categories. I was surprised. Anyways, I've never heard of acparadise.com. I'll have to check that out.
No, it's not just you, cosplay.com was slow for me, too. Hmmm. . . it's seems popular, though. But thanks for the heads up on tutorials. I've seen a couple pics of Mello cosplays where the scar looked like brown eyeshadow smeared on one side of their face. . . that was sorta cheating to me for some reason. Are you a "strict" cosplayer? |
ah cool, my name on DA is YamiEdward.....I would have gone with YamiSora, but someone got to it first....I hate that! XO
anyways, well I wouldn't say I'm a STRICT strict cosplayer.....but as long as it looks good, I don't care what you used to make it. But if you something cheap and it looks cheap, then I don't like it. |
Yeah, I hate when someone "steals" a username from me, too. When I started playing Maple Story (not that I really play much now), it seemed like it took me FOREVER to find a name. :/
I don't know if I'm technically a strict cosplayer or not. I like it too look good, though. I totally agree with you about cosplays looking cheap. I want it to look like the cosplayer did more than buy a costume, too. I like it when they're in character and have the signature character style down (at least in basics). I dunno, that's prolly expecting too much because I know how it gets at a convention, and I'm out of character a lot, too. Hmm. . . oh well. This is probably a stupid question, but do you go to anime conventions? |
