well dats cool, I haven't seen so many asian eyes on one internet page before! XDD
|
Sweetness! That lil Simon is so cute! <3 I was thinking, are you going to do the bandage thing, Yami? B/C I think you could still do it even though you're a girl. You'll just need to bind and then bandage your chest (instead of just bandaging your stomach). but it would look just as cool with it buttoned.
Yay! cheap contacts. I need some red ones. that should be fun. :3 |
@mwahhaha: oh, that picture was just a referennce, I still plan to do last outfit Simon with the star.....sunglasses.....pfft X3
anyways, instead of bandages he has a black thing, but it still shows his man-boobies XDD so I'm thinking of either getting a skin color bra or skin color patches. probably the patches XP |
yamisora: very cool. i've never heard of those skin colored patches before. i won't be able to use those for any crossplaying I do, though. i'll have to figure out how to bind properly if I'm ever going to do Rock Lee or Mello. Now, I've seen curvy Rock Lee and curvy Mello before, but that's just not my style. I managed to sorta bind before, but it kept slipping. . . which wasn't awkward at all ...^^;

X3 Wanted to share my WIP of my Holiday!Ukraine for a Hetalia Meetup here in SanFrancisco. I posted this already on the Hetalia group here on Mene, but I thought you guys would find enjoyment in it as well. XD
http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/S6304375.jpg http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/S6304374.jpg I'm about 98lbs, 5'4" and my boobs are 40DDs made of oatmeal. I need to actually do a bit of sewing work with the bra so I can make sure the boobs don't look like they're hanging really low, like they are here. I also need to attach the suspender strips and I need to replace the handkerchief there with an actual ribbon which I plan on doing very soon. |
Wow...what messurments. You remind me of a friend of mine, though she is a bit shorter than you. She has the same issue with humungo breasts. She's had a very hard time findng bra's that fit. LOL.
Awesome costume tho. Very Festive. But, can I suggest...Bling buttons? LOL. Something sparkly? |
Quote:
As for bling buttons; I won't be doing that actually, the buttons on the shirt need to stay how they are cause I use it for other cosplays; and well the character doesn't have like blingy-buttons. X3 And I'm not going to fool with the slack button. |
@mwahhaha: yea I found another cosplayer who did skin color patches since she was a girl crossplaying as a guy and it did really well for her, so I thought I'd try it too!
@Foxberry: Hey! I'm the same boob size too! XDD I know sometimes I wish I had bigger boobs, but when I'm crossplaying, I'm just like HELL YEA!!! WHOOOOOOO! XDD and I have no cleavage either, so it's good to have no cleavage at crossplay so you can leave your jacket/shirt open in the middle all the way and you do actually look like a guy. I've done it a couple times and people have said that they only recognized meh as a girl when they came close to meh. (BTW: good pics and faky boobys! LMAO) ...................I just LOVE crossplaying more than cosplay itself......it's fun to be the other gender.........and to go into the other gender's bathroom..............hehehehe anybody else do that when they crossplay? XDD |
@Foxberry: Woah! your boobs are made of oatmeal! How did you do that? Like, I imagine they're in balloons, right? and it's cooked oatmeal? wow. you cosplay looks really great by the way. :)
@yamisora: no, I've never gone into the opposite gender's bathroom while crossplaying. XD I'm tempted now, though. Have you ever gotten caught????? ever start snickering??? I think I'd have trouble not laughing. I mean, I've had life drawing classes before (so I've seen it all), but I think I'd end up laughing anyways. Crossplaying IS rad. Period. I've even managed to trick my brother occasionally while dressed up. Hey, I now there's a "who should I cosplay as?" thread on cosplay.com, but do you guys wanna start one here? |
YamiSora; Lol yeah smaller breasts without clevage help so much with open binding techniques. And personally I love crossplay much more myself. Especially for the fact so many characters that are female wear very little clothing.
Mwah: Lol nooo~ It's not cooked oatmeal. It's actually dry oatmeal in stockings. As long as people don't like grope me I'll be just fine. Haha. And yeah I think one of those would be a good idea. Because before we know it there may be duplicated threads. |
Quote:
Okay, so I'll start the "who should I cosplay as?" thread? I saw someone posted one for herself, but that was just for her. I'd do it in General Discussion, yes? |
Lol yes, much oatmeal, took the entire oatmeal can.
and yeah that sounds like a good idea; General Discussion works. |
Sweet. I was shuffled about by some moderator folk, but here's the link to the "who should I cosplay as" thread. . . if that's all right. If not, I'll edit this. no biggie. ^^
I don't intend to steal ppl from this thread, it's like an unofficial sister thread. :3 Hopefully, it'll bring more rad ppl to this one, too. http://www.menewsha.com/forum/commun...post1765727729 |
Nah I don't think you're stealing anyone from here it's a separate type of situation all together.
Anyway; you got shuffled about? Aw; sorry to hear about that. |
It wasn't too bad, actually. They were cordial about shuffling the thread. :)
|
WOOT! another cosplay thread! XDD I was wondering why nobody started that one yet XP
anyways, @mwahhaha: actually no, I've never been caught. usually when I went into the boys bathroom, I will snicker a little, but try to do it in a low voice. and I admit, when I cosplay as someone with hardly any hair in their face, I'll hold something over my face, like a shopping bag or something, cause it seems no matter what, everything but my face looks like a dude. XP .............and now I'm hungry for oatmeal XDD QUAKER OATS WOOT WOOT! |
LOL, I hadn't thought about the facial hair stubble thing. . . hmmm, I wonder how many people would believe a female crossplayer who swore that they are really just that good at shaving, or that they wax their face XD . . . o.O that would hurt like crap! no one would believe that last part. it would be a dead give away that the crossplayer is a girl. most men don't inflict that much pain on themselves for beauty. :/
|
yea rly! XDD I didn't think about facial hair either........that girls man at least has a 5-o-clock shadow! LMAO
|
Well; MtF cosplayers do have ways around stubbly faces I'm not certain how they do it; but there are some threads to explain how to fix that. Also for FtM cosplayers; there are ways to make stubble on faces. X3
|
@YamiSora: XD. oh man, I should crossplay one of these days as a super manly . . . thing, like Greed or that sparkly macho man from FMA. That would be a trip, too.
@Foxberry: huh. . . well, now I'm curious. How do the dudes do that? Especially if they have dark hair? I don't want stubble exactly, but I do want people to think that I'm a dude for certain crossplays. Hey! Do you guys know of the anime/manga Princess Princess? Those boys crossplay in the series for their school ALL THE TIME. So....... would anyone even notice that I was crossplaying if I crossplayed as one of those dudes? I have a feeling they'd just mistake me for gothic lolita gal unless I had the other two boys and hired a group of men to stalk us. . . actually that really sounds fun. XD Anyways, my question is: do you think it's worth it to cosplay if no one else gets it? For example, cosplaying outside of a convention, cosplaying as a very very very little known character, cosplaying as a character who dresses in street clothes like the main character from Welcome to the NHK and other such animes. Like acting, does cosplay need an agreeable "audience," or is it "for" the cosplayer? I know I've passed over cosplay options (for great characters, too) b/c I didn't think anyone could tell I was even cosplaying. :} Foxberry helped inspired my question by saying she didn't get much of a reception for one cosplay on the other forum. (do you have pics of that cosplay btw?) Thanks, Foxy! :3 |
Um... hello everyone. ^^ I'm a pretty seasoned cosplayer and was so happy to find a cosplay thread on here. Is it okay for me to join?
|
@Luna Riven: Hey there! ^^ I'm not like the head or anything, but yeah, it's totally cool that you hang out w/ us. Your avi is quite adorable. :3
|
Mwah: If you go to the site; www.cosplay.com and look at the forums; for crossplay there are info on there on how to do both. Granted I don't know how it works for MtF; I'm not a guy so... Yeah I really didn't read the thread on the MtF stubble removal.
Well the thing is about recognition; I don't think it's that important. However; when I go to conventions I like being able to interact with other people. Cosplay allows me to do this a bit more easier than just wearing normal clothing. I'm not that social of a person to begin with. However; it sucks to work on a cosplay and then receive nothing back kind of yeah- sucks. I think it's for the cosplayer but also for the audience as well. If you cosplay a little known character with a simple costume, people aren't going to bother asking what you're cosplaying. And for me cosplay events are for the social aspect. Now if you want to attend a bunch of panels or shop and don't want to be bothered too much but want to cosplay still; I'd say do that. But I honestly like it for the social aspect and as such at least having some recognition is good. I cosplayed Reapers from TWEWY, really minor characters but I ended up having a lot of fun with them because someone noticed what my boyfriend and I were from and we ended up having a photoshoot. Sometimes I think a cosplay will make or break a convention. As for my cosplay that didn't work out too well; I wanted to cosplay Gokudera from Hitman Reborn but I did NOT want to do his well known uber simple red shirt and jeans. http://koke-momo.deviantart.com/art/...AS09-137161693 http://koke-momo.deviantart.com/art/...AS09-137161693 http://koke-momo.deviantart.com/art/...AS09-136594815 http://koke-momo.deviantart.com/art/...AS09-136495058 I mean I got a few people calling out for me at yaoi-con but at SacAnime it sucked cosplaying him. Needless to say he's now retired. |
-cosplay virgin-
n on Working on my very first cosplay for Sakura-con next April! But unfortunately, I pulled an idiot-move and completely ruined Soul's jacket. D: So, other than redoing that, I still have to style his wig and make his headband. Hooray~ |
@PanderDander: ah, don't be to hard on yourself. you should see how I started to mess up my Flandre Scarlet cosplay O.O . . . let's not talk about that actually. j/k.
so I'm guessing you have a white wig? that's so cool. I'd probably wear it all the time just for funzies. |
