Well I dunno if this would go in the anime/manga forum since it's about the outfits but I dunno. XD
As for me I recently cosplayed Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist at Anime Iowa last August with my brothers who were Roy Mustang and Jean Havoc. We had to buy our outfits off a site because we don't have a sewing machine and don't know how to sew. I'd like to learn but don't have the money for a machine right now. ><; All I can say is I made red shorts in 8th grade that were wearable. XD Another con is coming up and we'll be doing the same thing since we don't have enough money to buy another set of costumes. But that's ok because I love Ed and we had a lot of pictures taken of us in Iowa. Probably because we were a group of three. >w< |
@AzukiPunk: West Coast....considering the person cosplaying the person to your left (the silver? haired character) *knows nothing about LoveLess yet* I am assuming you've been to SacAnime or SacCon? Also, are you going to Fanime this year?

I've never cosplayed irl, i tried to once for halloween... but i couldn't get the outfit finihsed in time, and eventually gae up. I have on gaia and won a few gaia cosplay contests. I want to here on mene, and i have an idea but I need to get a trenchcoat for a female avi, and we don't have one as of yet.

I'm a huge cosplaying fan. I love cosplaying and am pretty much addicted to the world of cosplay (Even though I really can't sew clothes to save my life, let alone a costume!)
So far I've cosplayed: Tohru Honda-Fruits Basket (I look the most like this character...the resemblance is uncanny, really. It's like she's come to life threw me ^_^) Kyo Sohma-Fruits Basket (My first sort of attempt at crossplaying...didn't really work out that way, but I still had fun. The character transforms into an orange cat, for those of you who don't know the story, whenever hugged by a member of the opposite sex or under any great deal of stress. So, doning a short, orange wig/orange cat ears/and a cat tail, I walked around as this character...mostly. I even walked around with a box that said "Free To Good Home" on it for me to sit in when people took my picture ^_^) I've also done some Lolita experimentations (I'm fascinated with the lifestyle and the culture of that as well!), and I plan on doing many more cosplays in the future. I can't wait. I hope to see some of you at Otakon this year if it's possible...and I have a cosplay.com account under the username Y_U_E ^_^ |

Cosplay is where you dress up as a character, mainly anime characters. I've never heard of Mosplay.

I think the heel on your shoe is fine...though you may wanna paint out the silver or...whatever that dark color is. Dunno why people would make fun of your shoes though...your brother's just probably messing with you.

I have only been to one con and I'm going again this year. Last time I was Hinata from Naruto after the time skip. I bought the costume online and the colors were all wrong. I learned my lessen so this year me and my sister are making our costumes I'm going to Be Itachi and she's going to be Deidara. We're rounding up our friends for the rest of the Akatsuki. So far we have a Sasori and a Tobi. Oh, we are also going to do a skit that has Itachi and Deidara sing and dressing up Kisame and Zetzu. The only other Akatsuki member we need for the skit is Leader. Four down, three to go.

and actually i havent been to ones up north is it? I'm only able to make it to cons near sf TwT *poor college student* the only cons I've been to is yaoicon and tales of anime. and then there's the cherry blossom festival during the spring :3 there's an anime parade but i havent joined it last year *too shy* and sadly i wont be able to make it to any of the Fanime conventions, becuase i have to head back home right after classes end for me T_T and that's in the middle of may *sniff sniff* Seishuku: that's a pretty nice costume for namine! it's accurate even though it's simple, and i dont really mind the heels. it actually works cause most of the asian cosplayers wear platforms and stuff with their cosplays since most of them are unfortunately short -__- *feels their pain* But no one should complain about the detail of the shoes for namine, yours is so close! let's see if those complainers could do any better xD |

but i've always thought about it. i always look up cosplay outfits on google and such. it seems like so much fun. it's like halloween without candy. |
