o_o Seriously? I actually preferred the movie to the play.
Then again, I'm a huge Tim Burton fan.

Tireth: Ah, I only read Coraline. I need Neil to read it to me. I want Neil to read every book actually... and I am British. >.<

Shelfari seems to be doing some maintenance but when it is up my URL is notadaffodil. I was trying to add some books this afternoon but the search was being a bit wonky.

One of my friends on myspace asked for Robert Pattinson pics so I think over the last three days I have seen every hilarious gif, photomanip or macro of that boy...

Hi Tests, cute avi! Looks like you've made a good start to the challenge too. ^^

Feyona
: If I put my progress on I would get annoyed when I finished books quickly and annoyed if I was hardly making any progress at all. >.<

Tests: I started last year so I have to read another 30 books before the end of September. The book I'm reading right now is taking forever and I have exams this month so I doubt I'll get too much reading done. >.<

Feyona: I don't like reading more than one book at the same time unless they're so wildly different I could never get them mixed up.

I got The Eye in the Door yesterday and the edition I bought (woop Play Trade) has awful cover art. It looks worse in real life. XD

@Knerd: I read that one a long time ago. I can't remember anything wrong with it, but I do remember I loved it. The plot sucked me in and now I try and read all of her stuff. Holly Black to me is like Amelia Atwater-Rhodes; their books are meant for young teens and I could probably read all the books they've both written in one day, yet I don't think I'll ever stop reading them.
That's the sad part about growing up, you are no longer "supposed" to be reading some of your favorite authors.

@Kat: Shelfari is off reading a short novel. xD
Ew for bad cover art. I hate it when books have bad illustrations.

@Jenova: I'm buying the DVD for the original Sweeny Todd play soon, the one with Angela Lansbury.

@jenova - how i would love to see it on broadway, but now i live in texas, so it's not nearly as easy as it used to be to get there. and even though i was close by in new jersey, i've only ever seen five shows in my entire life. D:
course i still think it's funny that she sounds like she's going to start singing "a part of your world."

@kat - you must find more. they are delicious. :3
stardust was actually a very good book and very different from the movie. and that's about as far as my recommendations can go. XD
i'm currently beating my way through the graveyard book, but it's not exactly a fast-paced book so i keep getting distracted. x3
shelfari is hurting me, i need to add more books. i only did the very first shelf of my bookcases and i have about 11?
pahahaha ohman. i met an rpattz fangirl at work and just looked at her like "you're kidding me, right?"
also i was watching an interview of him and i was surprised that he actually has a british accent. XD in all of the two roles i've seen him in, he has an american accent.

ew cover art. D:<
i've got a few books like that, but i can't really complain because i got them for free. x3

@feyona - keeping the progress is reminding me that i have to GET CRACKIN'!
so maybe it will for you, too?

ps.
i totally just finished a box of tissues. it was full three days ago. D:

pps.
so, my friends, how should i go about notifying shelfari of this atrocity?
every time i find something like that, it makes me cry. i can't even add some of my other artemis fowl books because they're registering as the SAME DAMN BOOK. T_T

when i put in the isbn, it shows up the book i need, but says i already have it and when i go to check the editions, there is almost every single artemis fowl book printed in the editions list. i can't add them seperately.
there's another problem that i have different printings of the same book and it won't let me add those, but the problem with the artemis fowl books should not be happening.

(if only i were admin... @[email protected])

and i'll check for the friend request. :]

@Leenie: I finished my books shelves but I've yet to touch my boxes in the basement and garage. I don't think I'll ever post them. I should search the library and see what books I read. I know like five years ago I was in a library kick and read 5 books a week from the library. I think I read at least 50 of Agatha Christie's books I just can't remember which ones. xD

PS - I just got home from shopping with some friends and I was a total nerd; I was reading a book while walking and talking to them. xD

I don't want to dig through boxes though. There are so many of them and it's cold out.
Also, so what if I'm a nerd? At least I can walk and read without crashing into things and people. The only true skill I walked away with from high school.

WHY SO DEFENSIVE? 83
and... i can walk without crashing into people, but stationary things i always manage to run headlong into.

ps.
everyone. i dare you to watch this song without breaking out into laughter. (you can stop after 4:30)
the dance moves alone should do the trick. if not, imagine this guy dancing it. because it's the same actor. XD
(no, i don't totally adore shahrukh khan. :3 giggleteehee)
NARG, i need to call tinseltown and ask if they have english subs for their hindi films. T_T

You don't get a Mr. Darcy till I get my books. End of story.

Speaking of stories I finished Guilty Pleasures about 3 minutes ago! (Apparently I'm back to reading about a book a day again.) Hamilton has officially given me two of my favorite quotes.

Quote:
Lace spilled over pale, long-fingered hands. The shirt hung open, giving a glimpse of lean bare chest framed by more frothy lace. Most men couldn't of worn a shirt like that. The vampire made it seem utterly masculine."
And if anyone's read it, the first encounter with rats. xD

EDIT:@Leenie: Shelfari just did the same thing to the Guin Saga as it did to Artemis Fowl. :sigh:

see? i want to be an admin so i can fix retardedness like that.

also, do you want odd and the frost giants by gaiman as well?
(i might as well order a whole 'nother batch of world book day books from him. XDD)

also. i just found out that my copy of alice's adventures in wonderland is 107 years old. printed 1901. it is GORGEOUS. i shall take some pictures.
EDIT! here are the pictures, all twenty of them. illu in the filename is short for illustration. the last four are showing all eight page borders. the rest of the filenames should be self explanatory. :]
please ignore my gnawed off fingernails. >_>;

I started another book on my list (Ugh, need diversity bad!) and it's about paranormal occurences. I was just reading the chapter about lifeless items such as rings and pen's having a life of their own. They put a bunch of objects onto a table, put a video camera up and filmed the table and the objects 24 hours a day for a couple of days and saw the freakiest things.

It also talks about computer's turning themselves on and off at will, car's driving of their own and the likes.

And just as I was halfway through the chapter the lightbulb dies on me. I've had it for years now so I guess it died of old age, but it was night and just entirely freaky timing, it did make me jump when there was a 'poof' noise a flash of lighting and bam I was left sitting in the dark looking all:
