Aw, I haven't watched either of those. I don't watch much television now that college has started back up again. Actually, college has nearly killed my T.V.-watching habits altogether o.e

Alright, I'm officially signing up for this challenge. I'm also adding the codicil that I can't have read a book on this list before. So, reading Acorna for the umpteenth time doesn't count.

Who likes the next actor who is going to play the Doctor? I guess I just like the current one...
|
|
Is he the one who played Barty Crouch Jr.? If so I'd have to say I like that one.
|
I think either Matt Smith is growing on me, or I just feel sorry for the poor kid. He's not David Tennant, but that's the same for everyone else in the entire world other than David Tennant.
In book news I'm reading The Graveyard Book now, hurrah for my library finally getting it in after it being 'on order' forever. >.< |
@kat - i haven't read the doctor who novels yet. D:
i did see a few of those and some torchwood ones at work, though. HOMG CLASSIC EBOOKS. (lol irony) @ljos - gaaah classic series. i have the first box set of the first, like 4-5 episodes? and then i was like "WHERE DO I GO NEXT?" but i think i will slowly be collecting them over time. otherwise my bank account will go insane. @cherry - wait, wait, here @dani - ::tosses boxsets:: <3 you just haven't started off right. my first episode was fear her (the one with 2012 olympics for those who have seen it) with a followup of the 2-part season finale for season 2. and i was addicted from then on. @[email protected] AHAHAHA YOU ARE GETTING STARTED. MWAHAHA. you can't deny david tennant. @shadow - i refuse to make any judgements about matt smith as the doctor until i see him as the doctor. although i love making snarky comments about his hair. it's like ten's hair and robert pattinson's hair had a baby. no one can ever replace david tennant. at least for me. you never forget your first doctor. ps. JUST KIDDING, AISLIN, I WANT THEM ALL!!! @[email protected];; i found a program that not only reads them, but converts them to nearly any other ebook format. (yay!) |
Tireth - OMFG. xDD The car crash scene = epic lulz.
And oh my god. xD "Say it out loud!" "A mermaid..." "...What?" "A mermaid." xDDD OOH OOH, LOOK, THEY DID TITANIC. I watched that last night. xD I found a bunch of my old YA books in a box downstairs. I had forgotten about most of them since I definitely did not put them there (I would not store my books in a basement D:). Anyway, I was looking for this book called "Feed." It (like most of my YA books) was over my head when I read it. Most of them are under me now, but the story was something I'd really like now (semi-dystopian I guess?). So while looking for it, I found a ton of other books. Some of them I've decided to reread. Here's what I found and am (probably) going to reread "Feed" - M.T. Anderson "Tuck Everlasting" - Natalie Babbit (Another one of the reasons I went looking for these books) "Loser" - Jerry Spinelli "Sabriel" - Garth Nix "You Don't Know Me" - David Class (I LOVED this one) "Blue is for Nightmares" - Laura Faria Stolarz "White is for Magic" - Laura Faria Stolarz I found another called "Tomorrow When The War Began" by John Mardsen. I really loved that when I read it. But now I realize that it was a blatant, shameless rip off of Red Dawn. >> Like, completely. The only differences is that it's set in Australia, some of the teens hook up, and Patrick Swayze isn't it. It even has the emotional visiting-the-captive-family-members-who-are-on-the-other-side-of-the-fence-and-they're-all-like-"I love you, now get out of here before they get you too!" >> After remembering the plot of the book and realizing how much of a rip off it is, I want to throw it at the author for being so unoriginal. xD |
MST3k is about this guy who got put up into space by a very evil person and she's forcing him to watch really old movies so he built a couple robots to keep him company and they make fun of the movies as they're watching them. Some of the comments are hilarious. XD

@cherry - i was trying to hard not to laugh, but as soon as i saw the car crash scene i almost died from a laughter explosion.
YAY SABRIEL. JOIN ME. @feyona - ohdear. i need to watch me some mst3k. |
@Feyona: I've seen that!! I just forgot the name because it's long. xD Though I remembered the robots. Score one for my memory bank!
Records show: Memory - 4, Forgetfulness - 9,734,683,994. I'm catching up! @leenie: Oh I love those movie in minute guys. xD |
Quote:
|
@dani - you're ahead of me. |D
and yesss movies in minutes. kim gave me that one on fb and i giggled myself into hysterics. @paddy - ohman. i love watching movies and shows with people so i can make comments. if it's just me, it's no fun. D: but only after we have both seen it once already because otherwise, you'll get a lot of "SHHH I NEED TO SEE THIS OMG, JEEZ!!! @[email protected]" |
@leenie: Like what I did throughout Phantom? xD
O_O Has anyone ever seen the size of Incubus Dreams.... It's like the size of a Harry Potter book (Love how that's my measurement guide for hardcover books). I thought I had picked up a large print book (I was so wrong). |
Tireth - I don't remember much about Sabriel, but I remember that it was really cool. And uhh, there were bells and a river of dead people or something. And uhhhh... snow. xD
|
@dani - exactly what you did throughout phantom. <3
and harry potter isn't too bad of a size reference because most people know it. the problem is sorcerer's stone was fairly tiny, but goblet of fire was freaking fat. D: @cherry - thaaaat's about it. XD norly, it's awesome. there's a cat, too. also, read the follwups, lirael and abhorsen, but make sure you get them at the same time. while sabriel can be read without the other two, lirael must be followed immediately by abhorsen or you will go crazy. I NEED TO MAKE A BELL BANDOLEER, DAMNIT. |
Yeah, I never got the other books. I think I just couldn't find them or I forgot or something.
|
I read all the books for the series Sabriel was in. It was very stellar and I totally wanted to read it again.
about MST3K: I tihnk I've seen it before too. xD >.> about the movies in minutes guys: "jack. just shut up and die already" totally had me laughing so well. |
@leenie: Only not only did I talk and make comments... I new all the lines and said them along with the actors. "Ah! MAH! Rrr! Untila you stopa these things from happening, this THING DOES NOT HAPPEN! Alando(name) (name) bring my doggie. Bye-bye. Now you see I really leaving."
xD Also, if you make one Make me one tooooooo! @jessieomer: You used the word stellar. I love you. xD |
Quote:
I like doing that "He laaaaahved me lahved me lahved me" part. xD |
@Dream: haha. is it so bad to say stellar? I don't get why more people don't say it often. Thank you for your unrequited attentions though. At this point I'm not sure who I love in this thread xD.
|
@cherry - read them. they are amazing. although my favourite part is the clayr's library.
because i am that much of a geek. XD @dani - yes, well. unless you want me doing that while watching iron man or pride and prejudice, don't watch them with me. xp it got to the point where i was doing something else entirely with the movie on in the background and i would be listening to it and i would stop what i was doing (most likely replying to this thread. XD) and spoke long with the actors. will do. |D although i may have to make the bells as well, so next semester i am so taking that metalworking class. FOURTEEN BELLS, IT MAKES MY HEAD HURT. that's not even including the headache i'll get from working with leather. DDDDD: i'll have to make multiple betas out of muslin. @jessie - it is because stellar is an awesome word, but we don't hear it much because it's a little outdated? 80s-ish? |
@Cherry: We were talking about how I know too much of the movie. I like doing anything by Carlotta. Her angry noises are the most fun. xD
@jessieomer: I love it when people say stellar. I like hearing people say phrases that normally you wouldn't hear any more. My friend says 'Right on.' But not just like 'Right on fight the power.' More like: 'This belt is cool.' "Yeah. Right on, right on." xD |
@tire: =o Stellar is so not 80-ishes!!! it's like oober uptodate!
@Dream: I would love to meet your friend. |
@leenie: This book is oh, about Goblet of fire size. The rest of the books (hardcover ones at least) are about the size of Philosopher's Stone or thinner. I picked it up and was like "Whaaaa?"
@jessieomer: He's in a rock band, works as quality control at a bio-med place, and says right on. He's a walking enigma that I must hug. xD |
