s'not my fault.
but i'll get it next time i go to the library. p:
since i'm interested now.
sometimes it takes me a while to actually get interested to the point of... no return.
(i didn't just do that. >_>;; )
LIKE THE GRAVEYARD BOOK.
it took me a couple months to get started, but once i got into it, it was done in a few hours.

xDD To the point of no return? Wow, I think you are obsessed now.
I think I've done that too though, except in real life ^^;; I caught myself saying something like "Down once more" or something xP

I've been listening to the OBC soundtrack all the time, as well as watching the movie xP Mostly because of the song at the credits, Learn to Be Lonely xP
The extended... what? o_0

@leenie: Don't listen to the movie soundtrack! Get the double disc London casting, the part was written for Sarah Brightman's voice. I still say she's the only one who can do Christine justice.
@Jersey: OBC = Original Broadway Cast, correct?
I love Learn to be Lonely. That's the only reason I got the movie ost.

@ Dream_and_Die - Yeah, OBC means Original Broadway Cast ^^
I actually bought the movie for my ipod ^^;;
I really only watch it to see Masquerade and to hear Patrick Wilson as Raoul. I hate the OBC Raoul DX

Oh honey, I am ALL over christopher Moore. I have read his whole catalouge, sadly.... but i'm itching to re-read A Ditry Job and Lamb again. That guy RULES!
Thanks for the suggestions, guys!

@Phantom discussion: the main reason to watch the movie is the gorgeous sets and Gerard Butler being hot and emo (lol)

@ shadowfoot - I, actually, could care less that Gerad Butler is in the movie xD He's a great actor (except for one scene 'Stranger Than You Dreamt It'), but his voice isn't really for PotO :/
The sets were good, I agree with you on that though xD

He's just hot when he's brooding.
Now I see him screaming "THIS IS OPERA!" In my mind. xD

I'm just not a Butler fan. He's way too pretty to be the Phantom. The character isn't supposed to be hott, he's meant to be scary and brooding and ghastly!

:nods: I hate how people think the Phantom has basically a burn on half his face... He was missing a nose people.
Which I think is cooler anyway.
Also my boyfriend, who I gave my book to, and I had arguments over how "evil" characters are. He seriously though that Erik was just a misunderstood romantic... This is why I gave him the book, he read it and was like "Wow he's kinda on the crazy-evil side." :headdesk:
Noooo, I thought Erik liked to go prancing around in fields of flowers and catch butterflies all whilst giggling like giddy school girl...
:XD
Greatest image in my head ever.

@ Dream_and_Die - If Erik saw you thinking that he'd kill you xDD
Along with missing a nose, he didn't have tanned skin. Lack of sunlight does that |:

I know I shouldn't be thinking it but... XD
He was deffinatly not the pretty boy that he's been made out to be.
He had yellow skin, black pits for eyes, no hair, and I always assumed since his face was skull like that he had practically no lips...
Wow could they find an actor more opposite then Gerard Butler, he's kind of baby faced not sunken. XD
Raoul's a whiny little pansy fop.

In the show and movie. They tried not to make him look like a pansy in the movie by having a sword fight, but it didn't work for me xP
I couldn't help but laugh during Point of No Return when he said "I worked so hard to free you" He didn't even believe Christine, before and after she disappeared :/
Also, Raoul's not a fop. That's what he's known for, but he's not. He's not a fashion slave, he dresses normally for a guy in that time. I read it on a comic on dA. I know, how resourceful of me xP
Don't get me wrong, Raoul's still annoying xD

@feyona - get your headphones! repo! has excellent music.
dream was singing along by the second viewing of the movie. XD
@dani - i'm going to get shot, aren't i?
i actually don't like learn to be lonely. it is too... boring? for me.
and i don't mind musicals live, but i hate listening to the recorded songs.
i can hear slight differences in quality of sound and there is ambient noise in broadway recordings.
it's the same sort of reason i can't listen to radio or concert-recorded songs - i can hear the constant white noise and echoes behind the music.
i do have a few tracks from the original london cast highlights. and it's only not the whole thing because the download failed miserably somehow so some of the tracks were shooting blanks.
@phantom discussion - you guys are amusing me endlessly.
especially the imagery of erik prancing around in a field of flowers, catching butterflies, and giggling like a giddy schoolgirl. XD <3
ps.
I GOT BIRKENSTOCKS!!! 8DDD
squeeeee.
mom got tired of me wearing my grimy old knock-off birks, so she got me real birkenstocks as a (really) early b-day present. :3
these ones fit me so i don't have to kill my toes to keep them on my feet.
so cushy and delicious. |D~~
and they're dark brown instead of the dusty brown of the other pair so they look nice against my WHITE FEET. >_>;;
(okay, i would have gotten the green ones, but i didn't see them and these work well enough for every day use)

]@Jersey:I know he's technically not a fop, but he still looks like a girl.
Also whiny, if I remember he threatens to go on a suicidal sea voyage or something if Christine won't marry him.

The word "fop" is first recorded in 1440, and for several centuries just meant a fool of any kind.

I didn't like Learn to be Lonely at first either xP But then I actually listened to it and it's rather sad D:
And it also fit perfectly for one of my OC's, so that's another reason I liked the song xP
I love the recordings D: But I don't like it when the recordings don't have the same emotion as the show if it was live xP But love hearing it live too, because it's more real. It's happening right it front of you and you don't have to adjust the volume.
EDIT: @ Dream_and_Die - Suicidal-? Um, what? xP Which/where does he say that?
Oh. Well if you use it in that sense, then you're correct xD

@ Jersey: I thought remembered him being like "I'm going to the south pole if you you won't marry me" or something like that... I'll go look it up.
Edit: Never mind, that was a different book. I need my book back. xD
That character was too much like Raoul.
