I cry over everything too, Daria.
hell I watch extreme home makeover every sunday and pretty much cry over every episode. and I watch Grey's Anatomy which lately has been giving me crazy waterworks |
@Iltu: Dorian. ^_^ Hehe, for now. I'm a little torn.
@Melissa: Uhm I got sucked into those books. I can read like the wind if I forget everything else, and school didn't start till Feb. ^_^ Micah only took me about two hours to read. Don't talk to me about Anita Blake dreams. XD Well Jean-Claude pops up in my dreams a lot, but only with Erik from Phantom of the Opera and they are always shopping. Also they break out into Repo! songs. My most recent was Quote:
Yay Shelfari friends! xD @leenie: I didn't cry at the end on Pan's Labyrinth... |
Haha, I cried at the end of an episode of Scrubs (ok so my Godmother had also died that day, and someone in the episode had passed)
but still...SCRUBS???? |
dream - ahahhahaha.....that is...awesome. I'm a huge Phantom of the Opera fan.
My dreams usually start with me running from zombies or vamps, loosing the guns/weapons, and then just endless time of me running and scrambling away. Or they're x-rated bedroom scenes. @[email protected];; hmm...I didn't cry at the end of Pans Labyrinth but then again I don't remember much from it. Last time I saw the movie was in the theater. One movie that ALWAYS gets me crying like a baby is A Walk To Remember. I bought the book because I love the movie so much but I can't even bring myself to read the book because I know it's going to be horribly sad. |
My dreams are oddities... several times I dream about something that will happen in the future. Though there are times where I dream about getting chased by killer bees that I don't think will ever happen.
|
i have veryvery odd dreams which i forget. a lot.
it's upsetting. i should try to write them down as soon as i get up. but apparently, i talk in my sleep. and there was one time a few years ago my mom was asking me what i wanted for lunch that day (since she packed it) and i kept listing off clothing items. xp |
I talk in my sleep too... what's worse than that is apparently I'm cognative enough to get up and unlock the door so my friend can go outside in the middle of the night when I'm completely asleep. The knowledge of that is both frightening and amusing at the same time and it makes me happy that certain people don't know where I live and are not with me when I sleep.
|
you have to unlock the door for your friend? or is it a little fuzzy friend? :3
but being able to unlock a door in your sleep can be a very scary thing. especially with children or in a creepy neighbourhood. :[ |
Dream- I am for Kiyo. I did not like Dorian one bit, though I do imagine him as the better looking of the two... We can fight over who's better like people fighting over Edward and Jacob. XP
Daria- I cried at Scrubs before. ._. You aren't alone! I cry at books all the time, too. But not really movies anymore, though I used to. ...Rent still gets me welled up, though. And I always cry over that Sarah McLachlan commercial where she's advocating the ASPCA and singing Angel. XD; |
I'm sooo close with being done with this challenge! I'm almost done with Company and I have already finished Fade (My book I was saving for my 50th, which it still tech. is cause I started company before hand.)
I have less then 36 pages....really tempted to finish it right this minute >.> Buttt, the mentalist is on. T_T |
Congrats, Stormy! That's really awesome. :3
|
O.o
I...finished. 50 books - DONE : DDDD I'll have to start from scratch now. : ) |
:boogie: Hooray! :boogie:
Keep going if you like, and see how many books you can complete in a year! Starting over is fun but it might also be nice to push your limits a little more. |
Yeah, well my year ends on June 6th, which is less then a month. I have testing going on now so I haven't had to the time to read anything much, I had a hard time reading company at school and had to read it mostly at home.
I'll probably start a new list after school ends or something like that and I'll try to aim for 100. ^_^ |
@Stormy: Yay!! Congrats!
@Iltu: Uhm I need to reread it. xD I'll stick with Dorian for now. I read it during a really long bout of insomnia so I might have mixed up personalities a bit. :sigh: Sleep is for the weak, but needed to keep characters straight. |
@Itlu: I have 20 books to go.
|
Well, if I were counting each manga as a book, I'd be halfway there. But I decided I'm going to shoot for a hundred manga. But also books, as interesting ones cross my path.
I've been having trouble staying interested in books lately. It seems like I've read all the ones I'd enjoy and the rest just don't appeal to me or come off as utter garbage. |

man. angel was the best character in rent. sniffle. :[
and. SLEEP IS NOT FOR THE WEAK. :< (okay, maybe, since i went to sleep early last night because i had vertigo.) stormy, yayayay!! :3 |
Congrats Stormy!
I think when I reorder my list (I had to get one of the books from the library renewed which meant I put it to one side) I may have finished myself... aieee. Edit: Yay, there are 50 complete things on my list. My next challenge is to have read 50 books/novels because if I take the comic volumes and graphic novels out I'm only up to 41. *confetti* |
YAY STORMY! <3 *dances with* I wish you luck with your 100 book challenge if you decide to do it!
Dream- Awwww, poor thing! XD I think I biased myself against Dorian because I was so keen on Kiyo, though. :P Shadowfoot- Congrats! When does your challenge end? Cricket- What sort of books do you like? A friend of mine had the same problem a while back, and a few book reccomendations from a few people lead her to all kinds of things she enjoyed. :) Daria and Leenie- RENT just proved that this fact is true: my favorite character ALWAYS. DIES. :gonk: Yay, Kat! *tossess more confetti* SO. I just found this amazing list of death. Or of, um, reading. It should keep me occupied for AT LEAST ten years. Assuming I manage 100 books a year. And also assuming I read nothing but those books. New long term goal: read all those books by the time I retire! (Giving myself some extra time here. Seeing as I'm still in high school and all.) Or at least, try to read each one: if I don't like it, I'm not gonna. o_o But anyway. I put the list on a spreadsheet, and I put the first three books on hold at the library. :'D |
@Iltu: Phantom's not on that list. :O At least Picture of Dorian Grey is. I think I've read quite a few of them.
Well I'm done with The Blood Countess. :| |
I got the memoirs of Richard Nixon in the mail today. Hohmygod, this book is MASSIVE. It'd better be as interesting as I have heard that it is, or I'll never make it through it. ><
|
i think i won't be reading most of those books.
they seem very... boring to me. i guess one of my rules of thumb for books is if it doesn't have something entirely unbelievable, it's not worth reading. x3 katkatkatkatkat. i was on unicreatures and this happened. XD i was all "... heeeey, i know you." |
Dream- I've read very few... So I feel like I should get myself some literacy going on up in here!
Leenie- They do seem that way, but I wanna try anyway. XD I mean, might as well! If they're boring, I'll just toss it aside. |
