Woah! That bookcase is so awesome~ @[email protected]
Which reminds me yet again that I need to buy a new bookcase, I'm running out of space. >.<; |
I wish I had room to set up a bookcase like that. But alas - My bedroom is tiny. I only have one shelf in there now and it isn't nearly enough to hold all my books. I have it double layered so that there are two rows per shelf, but I still have boxes of books stacked in my closet and under my bed.
|
Oh yes, that book case is really pretty. I don't have room for something like that, either...
My books are "organized" in two layers ina book wall - just long shelves mounted to the wall. From the floor to the ceiling, about 2,5 meters wide, 2 rows of books in most of them... |
I need to get around to actually filling my bookcases.. I have three of them (just the short, three shelf ones) and I still have a few boxes of books left. Although I'm not too sure where they are right now. I should probably get around to cleaning my room too.
I almost have another book finished. ^.^ Maybe I should be paying more attention in school, rather than reading... |
@ Knerd: *0* Pretty bookcase... @ Lura Crane: xDD Hopefully I will, too. Until then, it'll just be the main color I use. xD I change my font colors to match the day, usually. Mostly for events, though. Halloween = orange font, Christmas = red, this color, or cornflower blue XD, Easter = thistle, uh... Valentine's Day was crimson. =P Awwww. It's the one with the... girl... Er. -runs off to Google- [x] =P She'd probably need make-up and stuff to look a lot younger, though. ^^; She's like in her late 20s already. D: Awwww. xD;; Ironically, I think the anime guy reference was from a vampire anime. XD Well, I'm not sure, but I think it was. Or it could've been my imagination... We need an otaku, stat! xD;; Ehehehe, I'm on Eclipse, and it's just gushing with romance. :'> Gosh, the entire day, I've been waiting to get home just so I can READ IT! :'DDD I'm like addicted! xD The romance just... augh, I can't even explain it! XD I'm such a sucker for romance, though, anyway. >>; Ooh, they are~ :'D I'm thinking of borrowing it from my friend again so I can get a deeper look into it... Once I finish Eclipse, though. :'> ( rahr, I don't care if people say the writing sucks, feel the luuuuuurve~~~ >w<;;; ) Never heard of those ^^;;, but let me know how they are! That reminds me, I should visit the library sometime soon... @ Rhea Nicola: xD;;; Awww. DD: Have you tried checking at your local library? The library I go to downtown has most of her books. :3 I doubt my school has any, though. xD;; I love her plots, and her writing is so descriptive! <3 |

Ahh, I know her~
I mostly recognize her from Casper though, it's like, one of those ingrained childhood memories. XD; But I also imagined her as Bella as I was reading the books~ @[email protected] More like, a mix of her and Emily Browning. >.< Glasses, you mean like, shades? There are a couple vampire anime guys I remember having long black hair, but I can't remember any wearing glasses. >.< Yes, Eclipse is so gushy, it's awesome! XD I'm usually not the type to go looking for romance books either, but I really liked reading the Twilight series. 8D |
@Tenten yea, that's where I got the one I just read. I think I'm going to have to try other libraries in my county, because I think I saw more than just the three they have there on the site. Unfortunately, their site isn't very accurate and I can't often find what I want. *scowls*
Ah well, plenty of other books to read. Its not as if I haven't read them before. |
I forgot to update my list for a long while .___.
*updates list* Err, can I post rereads in the list? XD |
You can list whatever you like. After all, a reread is still another read book. I see no reason why not to add it in. =)
|
Yay! I've gotten further in the Count of Monte Cristo! Not anywhere near finishing it but I'm making progress!
|
Heh, I just realized that I had to update the link in my signature so that it would lead back here.
It should be working now. |
And I can update my list! Now I just have to keep going in my next book....
|
I'm going to be bumping into things and looking very confused on Mene for days.
I only popped on to edit my book list. Carnegie shadowing scheme's begun. *3* x) *going to kip before she gets on with her homework* |
@ lura crane:
xDD I remember that movie... It doesn't seem like such a long time ago, though. P: Yeah, that's sort of how I saw Bella as! :3 Like a mix between the two. Nooo, like... the small rectangular frames that glint in the light? Er... If I ever come across it, I'll show you? xD;; Woot, finished Eclipse~ I don't know, though, I don't think it was that great... .__. ;; They made such a big deal about the fight, it lead up to this big thing, but I was so disappointed to find that it was, really, so small. ^^;; Still... -swoons over romance- XD;; I'm rereading the series now, because when I first read them, I was like, intoxicated with weariness. XD I read before I go to bed, so I didn't sleep until like 4 AM because I can't stop reading it... I'd keep yawning, but it's like, " nuu, must...read... =w= " It's hard to pay attention to details like that, so now I'm rereading it, "sober" and stuff. >>; @ Ricola: Which one did you just read? O: The most recent one I've read was Tris' Book and Shatterglass. Good luck finding them~ ^^ |
@Tenten (Ricola, lol) Ooh, I've read both of those, but I think I have to say that I like the Tortall books better. I just read First Adventure, from the Song of the Lioness (or whatever its called). I know there's a couple of the Tortall books I haven't read yet, but I can't remember the titles and I'm pretty sure I've read all of the Circle of Magic ones.
|
The Tortall books? I haven't read those... I actually haven't read much of Pierce's books, though I definitely plan to. XP I just haven't found the time. D:
They sound really interesting, though ( -went to look them up- >>;;; )! Which ones were your favorites in the Circle of Magic? -pondering on which ones to read next- |
I read the Lioness Quartet by Pierce and really liked it. ^u^
She is a really neat kind of person. I've met her because she attends a science fiction convention that I go to. I may try the challenge since manga is included, and I like to read manga. It has been a good while since I sat down with a fantasy novel, but I do love them. |
My favorite Pierce books were the ones that followed the Lioness, with the girl openly training for knighthood. I can't remember what they're called, though. I hate to say that fantasy is my favorite genre, because I've run across a lot of really bad fantasy. But good fantasy is probably what I read the most. After that, as my father would be happy to tell you, it's 19th century British romances. I can't seem to get enough of those.
|
Yea, I like the Lioness quartet, but I think my favorite is the Immortal Wars. It took my old school's library so long to get them all that I was reading them during the last weeks of school when we weren't supposed to check anything out (they let me borrow them for the day, as long as I gave them back after school).
|
Ah, crap, I've barely been reading.
I need something to read, and suggestions? still trying to read Collapse, I think that one is going to take me awhile. |
What genre are you looking for?
|
yay! new book ^^ Private by Kate Brian. It kind of looks interesting... and I didn't have the money to buy Twilight >.>
|
I'm not too sure.
I tend to read a lot of different stuff. My top books are Abarat, The Looking Glass Wars, Sandman, Choke and Long Hard Road out fo Hell. If those give you any ideas of what to suggest. I do what to read some Hunter S. Thompson, Vaugneut and damn, there was something else. |
