I Found a copy of Green Mansions at the library and couldn't resist reading it again so that is number 9 on my list

I had no idea there was a documentary--I'll have to check it out!
Shamefully enough I haven't read a huge amount of his poetry, but I've really enjoyed all of it that I have.

I actually "read" his translation as an audiobook, which I recommend: I think I appreciated the alliteration more hearing it than I would have if I read it silently.

One weird, difficult read, yet exciting novel. c;

I've read a lot since I last updated. Well it was mostly manga but it was a lot of reading so I decided to count it as books. The manga I'm counting isn't even half of what I have read this year.
The Madame Xanadu book was may favorite book out of the bunch. That graphic novel was just so....awesome.

I was thinking about reading a Fine and Separate Place again, after reading those afterlife genre books, and then I found out it was made into a musical. It makes me wonder how many books are turned into musicals while we're not looking. D=

I am currently a week behind on my reading but I am still plugging away. Currently midway through Goblet of fire.

Did you mean a Fine and Quiet Place? I've never heard of a Fine and Separate Place. If you meant the first one, I love that book. The author also wrote The Last Unicorn.

In roughly half a month, my challenge time will be up, so I have a question. When the time comes for me to begin anew, can I just keep my old post and make a new list on there, and keep the old one is spoiler tags or something? Or will I need a whole new list post?

I was going to read Rhapsody by Elizabeth Hayden but after reading 50pages about this one character and then it switching to somebody else for the rest of the book (600+ pages) and the original character had absolutely nothing to do with anything...D=
So I read something else instead ^-^

But how has everyone been doing? I haven't posted here in a while.

I braved Black Friday to go to Half-Price books, and it turned out AWESOME. Lots of new shinies for me to read! <3

Iltu: I did the same thing lol! I didn't get there early enough to get any free stuff but I valued my sleep. I got a book and a few comics though x33

I didn't get there until around 7:30, so I missed all the free stuff, but I saved so much money that it was alright. c:

I just found out the borders near my house will be closing in January - I'm not sure why because it's generally busy there.

I'm tempted to go and buy up a bunch of books- but at the same time I'm not really buying books anymore unless I can't get them from the library or ILL.

@Shadowfoot -- that's the one, I keep remembering the title wrong, I have no idea why. But, it's not "Quiet" either, it's "Private". Sheesh. Maybe now I know why that book wasn't more popular through the years.

@siaasgn -- I hate to see bookstores close, even if they're part of a superchain. ._.

@Iltu -- I LOVE Half-Price books. =D If only I'd had a day off. D=

Knerd, I just googled that and looked at the wiki page for it, and instead of Logoland, I read it as "Legoland" and got all excited.

I do love satire, though and an Aussie view is always appreciated.

Guivre- I always spend entirely too much money there, but I LOVE Half-Price. I practically LIVE in their mythology/folklore/legend section (mostly looning for books about King Arthur), and if I step over I'm in the philosphy section, and if I turn around I'm looking about books about the occult and metaphysical things and shamanisim and astrology, and if I venture into the next alcolve all the religious books are there... And that's all right near the fantasy and young adult sections, so I rarely leave that half of the store.
