I paid a visit to Half-Price Books today, and it went very well! I picked up an illustrated encyclopedia of Authurian legend, a book that discusses the evidence of Merlin having a historical basis instead of being a character largely fabricated by Geoffrey of Monmouth, two books by Juliet Marillier, The NeverEnding story by Michael Ende, the complete works of Lewis Carroll, and The Last Unicorn on DVD. I want to hopefully find time to go again next week and to find another book about Authurian legend and the complete works of Hans Christian Anderson. I love that store! :drool:

I wish there was a Half-Price Books near me. There's Book-Off (Which has a tons of $1 books) but that's in the city... I think I'll be making a trip once it gets warmer.

Ever read that before? It's one of my favorite childhood books, so I have many fond memories attached to it. It's such a complex, deep novel that holds new discoveries each time you pick it up. I should probably reread it soon just for the fun of it.

No, I've actually not read it before! I saw it when I went in November, and put it in my basket before putting it back because I didn't have the money. When I went just the other day, it was still there, and I thought, well, that's blatantly ignoring a sign from the gods and goddesses of the written word if I don't get it... I look forward to finding time to read it.

I don't think I much like the latest book that I read. The Romance of Tristan and Iseult. I think it's cause of the style this version was in. The cadence in it made it slightly confusing to follow. But the plot was very interesting. That's just my opinion though.
