=D I am in love with this challenge! I am going to go off and make myself a list right now!
Are there any books that any of you would suggest I put on it?

So I just finished 3 books that I've been reading at the same time all at once -

Quote:
2. Fantastic Mr. Fox
Dahl, Roald 81p.

3. Wizard of Oz
Baum, Frank L. 188p

4. The Scar
Mieville, China 638p
I read Fantastic Mr Fox on the train one day going to a meeting - it was cute! I would like to see the movie, but I think I'l wait until it's out on video.

I had been reading Wizard of Oz on my phone using stanza - it took a while but it was good  Although I don't know if I liked it enough to go int the other books in the series.

The Scar was amazing - but I really like China - his writing is so dense and descriptive and imaginative- sometimes it's almost like poetry.

Hey Goodread friends! I mentioned that one of the reasons I love Goodreads is because of the giveaways... well, I just won my fourth book today! I'm excited because it's a title I really wanted to read. I can't wait to get it. :)

Giveaways? :runs off to goodreads:
I have to add that I'm reading a text book, I'm debating adding just the one books or individually adding the books inside it. Hmmm...

@Dream -- if they're complete books, why not? =D

I just finished the Merrill Markoe book Nose Down, Eyes Up. It was EXACTLY the same book as Walking Around In Circles Before Lying Down. Except that this newer one had a faster start than the older one. Walking took over 100 pages before you felt it was compelling enough to continue. (I've always liked Merrill Markoe, though otherwise I wouldn't have given the book a chance after 100 pages ... You'd have to be a masochist at that point.)

Anyway, so it wasn't bad or anything, but nothing new. Well, some internet culture found its way into the pages, which wasn't a bad idea. So if you like dogs and light fiction, it's a decent read.

I just finished The Taming of the Shrew and A Great and Terrible Beauty :D
LOVED and ADORED both works - Shakespeare has always been a dear favorite of mine, and Libba Bray is just as endearing to my heart~
Her novels are so compelling and draw you in, it's as if you are Gemma herself!
The twists, the turns, the romance, the lust, the gypsies, the magic, the Victorian-type setting - It's just so realisting and so very amazing - I adore every letter <3

Man.. It's been FOREVER since I've been in here :(
It seems like centuries..
This is what I get for not picking up a book for OVER FOUR MONTHS!
No lie. Aside from what we read in class? I read NOTHING until Jan. 20, 2010.
How insane is that?!
-sigh-

BUT!
I have come back full force everyone!
I'm now reading The Goblin Wood by Hilari Bell - love it so far, can't wait to read more!

BTW - updated my challenge post :D

@Yuri-san: I loved The Goblin Wood!
Why is it not on my list? Somehow I don't think half my books made it from my real life bookshelf to virtual. xD I'll have to sit with a laptop one day and make sure I got them all.

@Guivre: I'm adding it as just one. Either way it will screw up my book to page ratio and I feel bad because so many of the Cirque du Freak books were only 200 pages (and two Philip Pullman books were under 100). So a giant boost in pages but not books might even it out. xD

I'll let you know what I think when I finish ;D

LOL!
I have to do that on facebook xD
I did what I could through memory, but I have to do the rest going by my list here :3
Speaking of which.... I think I may do that right now o_O;

Well that's depressing....
It's been removed from facebook :(

That is depressing...

When you mentioned the book I was like "I have that!" but I checked on my good reads (which I just copied everything over from shelfari) and it wasn't there. So I looked at my shelf and literally my first shelf had five books on it that for some reason weren't on my virtual one.
I think I know what I'm doing Sunday! 8D

:points to sig:
It's a virtual bookshelf site. Though I've moved over to Goodreads (it's a bit more organized, where as shelfari is pretty) for the most part because Shelfari has this problem where it sometimes lists books two and up (in a series) as different editions of the first book, or there are books with no titles... or authors... yeah it's got some kinks in it. xD

Shelfari is like an online bookshelf. Its a really neat sight actually. Others can look on it to and see what you've read that they might like. It's one of my favorite sites, though I haven't been on it in a while.

Eh - it'll be useful for me though - easier to keep track of the books I own :3
Plus, if I keep it updated, people can go and see what I have so they don't buy me a book I already own on accident ;D

I like Shelfari a lot. I only have been using it as a book log for the books I've read the last couple of years though.

One day I should add everything I've ever read. That might be too exciting.

Edit --

Oh god, I should add, about the book I mentioned yesterday, Nose Down, Eyes Up, isn't as funny as Walking in Circles Before Lying Down, either.

Gosh, I really need to update my book list more often. This time it got to the point where I can barely remember the order I read them in.

I got a whole ton of manga the past couple of weeks from a local Borders Express that shut down, so I'm thinking I'll work my way through that before going back to reading 'normal' books. My stack of "to read" books is getting ridiculous now, I should really stop buying and just read for a bit. xD

@LaVida: Yes! I have no clue if you got the idea to read it from me, but I was raving about a few weeks ago. I told you it was a large book. :3 It took me a week to read it, a week.

@Risika: It's impossible to stop buying books. xD I have the same problem, tons of books that I haven't read yet I keep buting more.

Man, I meant to get so much more reading done on that trip.
I did, however, start my book of Russian fairytales... They are so full of misogyny and general craziness! I am enjoying them, though.

Riskia and Dream- I do the same. XD I have so many books I've bought that I need to just read.

@Dream & Iltu: It's good to know I'm not the only one with no self-restraint when it comes to buying books. xD

I was really pleased to find that both Stardust and Howl's Moving Castle were stellar reads, far outclassing even their amazing movie counterparts, without making the movies look terrible in comparison. Which is nice, because I love the movies, haha.
