Dream>> I think I read one.....Cubix or something like that.....I was good~~~ but then I had a ton of work and forgot all about it XP

Dream_and_Die 05-28-2010 02:44 AM

Cube Route maybe? With Cube and Ryver and the magic sock. XD
I just lurv (it's gone beyone love) him as a writer. Though I wish he was more consistant. He really needs to write out a list of rules and characters. He keeps messing stuff up and then "magically" fixing them in the next book. Like he made a character have one ability, forgot, changed it, then explained how it was magically changed three books later. :sigh:

I've been meaning to read Wicked. It's one my list I swear.

shadowfoot 05-28-2010 04:28 AM

Ah, but Piers Anthony's world isn't really governed by rules.

Dream_and_Die 05-28-2010 01:50 PM

I know, but I liked the idea of Cynthia having the magic of a powerful downdraft. I probably wouldn't mind if I wasn't reading them all back to back (to back to back). I'm not saying that it takes away from the books, just confuses me - it could be a book or two until he explains the change. So for awhile I'm like "I swear that wasn't there last book!" Thinking I've gone crazy...

LaVida 05-31-2010 01:27 AM

lol, it just means he's too lazy to get people to proofread it beforehand? XD

Dream_and_Die 05-31-2010 03:03 AM

No it's that much stuff in there that no one really notices. He's insane. In a completely awesome and he's my hero kind of way.

Well I am not entirely sure how to present my list. I am not very skilled when it comes to such things u.u. Well my aim is to try and complete 50 books by the end of 2010. Most of this will be happening from this point on. As my reading rate up till now has been uninspiring to say the least. I have completed but two books.

Crimson Fang 05-31-2010 03:22 PM

Thank you, hopefully I am able to make it! =)

shadowfoot 05-31-2010 07:54 PM

I keep losing track of what I've read before I have a chance to put things on my list!

LaVida 05-31-2010 07:59 PM

meh, I read too much, I'd finish 50 in no time.......but I can't even finish the 25 books when I actually put down what I'm gonna read Xd

Dream_and_Die 05-31-2010 08:12 PM

I used to have an actual "to read list" and I failed. I didn't read any of them. I find that if I make myself a list then I feel pressured to read them, but also, I'm too sporadic with what I want to read. xD

LaVida 05-31-2010 08:21 PM

Dream>> ditto T_T that's why I'm literally lagging on my current "to read" list T_T it has only 25 books and I've read only.....1/2 of them? D:

KatMagenta 06-01-2010 07:42 PM

Heh, I've read virtually nothing I put down as suggestions for this year or recommendations from my friends (which I even asked for myself).

Updated my list, onto the 25th book which was my personal challenge for this year so hopefully I'll be able to get a lot more reading done over summer and surpass it.

LaVida 06-01-2010 07:46 PM

Kat>> yea Xd I'm hoping to get most of it done over the summer as well Xd

shadowfoot 06-02-2010 03:49 AM

By the way, I'm loving everyone's creativity with the new items. The avis look awesome.

Dream_and_Die 06-02-2010 04:04 AM

I know, I'm floored by all awesome outfits this weekend. Everyone looks so cool. ^_^

LaVida 06-02-2010 07:58 PM

T_T I still need to get them....as soon as the event's over Xd

Mort 06-03-2010 02:24 AM

I have a google doc that I use to keep track of books when I finish them - and then eventually I move the list over to here as well.

I also have a separate google doc that is a 'to read' list- but generally when I finish a book I find another one to read before I check my list of books I want to read :XD

shadowfoot 06-03-2010 02:59 AM

Mainly I keep starting books and not finishing them because I'm unimpressed. I will pick them up later and try to finish them, but I keep finding more interesting things to read. All this leads to stacks of books sitting around, and sometimes I don't actually remember which book I've just read all the way through until I take the time to really look. I guess I'm just lazy...or too super busy to do anything else once I get home (more likely).

numerica 06-03-2010 02:38 PM

I always have more books I want to read then I have time. Altough I don't have a written list, I usually have a pile of books waiting to be read.

Dream_and_Die 06-03-2010 03:18 PM

Ah the notorious pile of books to read. I think everyone has that or at least a version of it. I have two shelves of unread books and a friend of mine just has a box in her closet.

KatMagenta 06-03-2010 03:22 PM

At home mine was a pile on my bedside table which I knew was too high when I could barely reach to turn my alarm off. ^^;
