I just updated my list from two years ago...wow. I'm currently reading the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. 20/150 (150 because it's from 2008)

I read on the internet about some of the changes they made between the Sword of Truth books and the TV series but I'm mostly wary about trying to read a big fantasy series which I haven't really done since I read Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms books when I was younger.

Ah gotcha *Goes to look up Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms* What about the Eragon books?
The first big fantasy series I read were the Magical Land of Xanth novels by Piers Anthony. The puns are amazing in his books!
 There are a lot of books in those series!!!

I can't say I've read all of them but I've read the main storyline of the Dragonlance books plus some of the other books in that universe and mostly the FR books featuring Drizzt.
I know of Eragon but it's never really appealed to me. A lot of people here talk about Xanth too but I hadn't heard of it before. ^^;

Updated my list -- I finally finished that history of the classical Hollywood cartoon! It was really well written, too, very enjoyable but also philosophical.

A Vampire? Ghoul? Mummy, Skeleton, Revenant? Of course that's assuming that you are some form of undead. Maybe just plain ol' resurrected living person?
KatMagenta - They Xanth Novels are very good if you get a chance to read them. Everything is magical and ridiculous and silly and funny and there are lots and lots of puns :P of course there are some serious parts too. All in all a great series. I've read around 20 or so of them. Around 350 pages each so they are kinda nice quick reads.

@ Car: I mean I wasn't AWOL anymore.
There's no way this is healthy...It's 1:15 in the morning where I am, and I'm still watching anime and surfing the web.

I remember watching Trigun when I was a kid. Some of my childhood animes are Inu-Yasha, YuYu Hakusho, Tenchi Muyo, Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun...good times.

Heh, if I finish my challenge this year (technically already finished my personal one) I might plan books for next time for a change.
If they showed more classic animé on UK TV I might be more into it. I love The Big O, they showed that on Cartoon Network before randomly stopping without finishing it. ¬_¬

People in the US have done that too. I'm not sure, but I think they've done it with Inu-Yasha and YuYu Hakusho.

I hate the fact that shows get cancelled mid-run. Like Gargoyles, which simply ends in the middle of its third season, no conclusion or anything.
I've been busily adding references to Bookends, a reference manager for Mac, for my dissertation, and the list just keeps growing... :XD I might post it here simply for fun.

@ scholar: I loved that show! Same thing with Digimon and Beyblades. I hate when they do that....
Another cartoon I really enjoyed was Samurai Jack. I never got to see the rest of it because my parents had to get the cable cut off due to money problems. Is it still running?

Not very.... LOL. I watched Sailor Moon (in bits) when it came out on American TV in the mid-90s, when I was in junior high. Powerpuff Girls came out when I was already in high school, by which time I wasn't watching much TV except Star Trek. The Disney Afternoon was pretty much gone, and the WB had taken over my afternoon, and it simply wasn't good TV.

Yeah, me too. But then I went off to college shortly thereafter, and had no TV. I actually only got into anime when I was living in Europe. :D I still don't have a TV, I just get DVDs of things and watch stuff online.
