Pearl- *adds both to her to read list* It'll be roughly a life time before I get to them, but I'll give them a shot!

Strawberry- My favorite vampire books are Christopher Moore's Love Story trilogy (Blood Sucking Fiends, You Suck, and Bite Me), for creativity and general laugh-out-loud hilarity, Anne Rice's Vampire chronicles (starting with Interview with the Vampire) for the excellent writing, and Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy books for the easy read and fun, interesting ride.

TaiyoTsuki 01-06-2011 03:51 AM

MY LIST HAS DISSAPEARED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PapillonCameo 01-06-2011 03:53 AM

How in the world did that happen Taiyo?

TaiyoTsuki 01-06-2011 03:57 AM

I have NO idea! I clicked the link, and it brought me to the last page!

Well, at least I know the number of books I'm up to....

PapillonCameo 01-06-2011 04:05 AM

At least that..Maybe you could send Knerd a pm about it?

Hey,what happens if you're reading a collection of short stories and books..And they're all bound in the same book.Do you count it as one or put in the novels separately from the collection of short stories?

Roxxxy 01-06-2011 04:15 AM

Papi: It's however you want to classify it :)

PapillonCameo 01-06-2011 04:20 AM

I'll figure it out!Now back to reading or crocheting my very colorful scarf!

Car'a'Carn 01-06-2011 05:21 AM

Pearl - ah I gotcha. Well hey, It could happen!

Papillon - Hah! You're only like the third person to get the refference! I love that bookseries! I'm just abot done with book 9 :P

TaiyoTsuki: - You're list isn't gone! It moved here The 50 Book Challenge :: Need a New Year's Resolution? Read More! - Page 349
I had the same problem ealier. When they increased the number of posts per page it messed up all the hyperlinks

Congratulations on finishing your first book. It is unfortunate your follow up book is proving to be boring thus far. Hopefully it picks up and begins to get more interesting.

Crimson- I'm going to try to write reviews for most of the books I read as I add them. The ones I'm adding because I just read them, anyway, I don't trust myself to write an accurate review of books I haven't read just recently!
That is fair enough, the book I did a review for was quite brief. It might prove worthwhile to provide updates on the current book. I somewhat regret not doing that for the current book I am reading. As chapter by chapter I have been having a variety of emotional reactions to it. Although I am lazy, so this would suit me.

RisikaFox 01-06-2011 09:23 AM

@Strawberry: Check out Amelia Atwater Rhodes' stuff. ^^ I'm currently reading her shapeshifter series, The Shapeshifters: The Kiesha’ra of the Den of Shadows. I can't put it down, even when I'm supposed to be working. It's dangerous, haha.

Knerd 01-07-2011 04:58 AM

I'm sorry about the links, guys. I used the "permalinks" on the front page, but things shifted a bit now that each page displays 20 posts instead of 15.

But never fear! This is incredibly easy to fix. A bit time consuming, but easy.
If you guys can find your list and just post a direct link again, then that would help a little. If you don't have time or can't find it, don't worry. I'll go through everything today and tomorrow to update it.

Who knows? If I'm feeling productive, maybe I'll even separate the master list into different years and weed out the people who no longer participate.

Car'a'Carn 01-07-2011 05:06 AM

Knerd - Here's the permalink link http://www.menewsha.com/forum/commun...post1768104846

And here's the post number thingy link http://www.menewsha.com/forum/1768104846-post9122.html

Wasn't sure which one you needed ^^!

Knerd 01-07-2011 05:07 AM

Thank you kindly!

Personally, I still prefer the permalink, but I suppose that's just a matter of taste. Maybe for safety's sake I should use the post link instead from now on.

Car'a'Carn 01-07-2011 05:12 AM

You're welcome!

 Well hopefully they won't change the amount of posts per page anymore! Cause I like the permalink better too.

KatMagenta 01-07-2011 06:13 PM

When I click the link in my sig it goes to the last page and then back to the page where my list is.
Permalink to my list. The front page link still leads to my old one anyway. ^^;

Hopefully I'll get more reading done when I get back to my flat.

PapillonCameo 01-08-2011 07:47 PM

@ Car'a'carn- I"m re-reading the series because I need to know all the political intrigues leading up to the newest books.Otherwise it would just be too confusing to jump right in!

My list link seems to be working perfectly fine.Maybe it's because I just posted the list very recently?

Whew! Thanks for that! *saves link*

Knerd 01-09-2011 01:59 AM

*proudly adds her first book to her 2011 list*

PapillonCameo 01-09-2011 02:04 AM

Which book? What do you like reading anyway Knerd?

MedievalBeauty 01-09-2011 09:40 AM

I finished reading sea glass by maria v synder. it has alot of twists and turns, but its a really good read indeed. I also got five new books that I must read soon. I will probably read some before bed.

KatMagenta 01-09-2011 08:08 PM

Yeees, I finally finished Wireless. I read the longest of the short stories in one sitting. XD

Now I've started on the books I got for Christmas with Stuart: A Life Backwards. I really liked the TV adaptation and I'm enjoying the book too. Alexander is refreshingly honest about his views on the people, homeless or otherwise, he comes across.

Eastriel 01-09-2011 08:35 PM

You know, it feels like i'm reading a lot, but when I look back and I've only read 6 books in 2 months, I suddenly don;t feel that way. xDDD I need to pick up the pace if I am going to complete this challenge!

MedievalBeauty 01-10-2011 01:46 AM

East: Oh you'll get there :) good luck.

I've started reading unearthly by cynthia hand. It's pretty good so far, but I can't read it all in one day though, kinda hurts my head lol.

I would not worry all that much, your progress will hardly be at a constant rate. If it helps, it is now 8:38pm on the tenth of January here in Aotearoa, New Zealand. Despite this I have yet to even start reading my first book for the year. I made the genious move of starting to read a textbook near the end of last year. As I was already so far into it, I am not going to count it. In saying that, I wanted to read it so I am. xD

Car'a'Carn 01-10-2011 07:38 AM

Papillon - I really should re-read the series too. I think I just may do that after I finish this one. I've forgotten a lot of the stuff about the Sanchen and the plots of the White Tower and the Black Ajah. Lately I've had to keep a wheel of time wiki page I found opened up while I read so I can remind myself of something when I run across something I don't remember

Taiyo - No prob! :)

Beauty - That looks pretty good. Do you like it so far?

I ended up reading all the Percy Jackson books after Christmas I finished them in like a week and a half. They were just too good to put down! Now I'm working on The Hunger Games. It's kinda depressing so far but It's also intriguing too and it has some bright parts thrown in as well.
