I have four books to add to my list, which looks very empty at the moment, since I'm restarting and trying again to remember to record everything. I have a long list of "to-reads" as well.

It was actually rather good. :yes: I love P&P, but this one I actually grabbed because I was at the bookstore, and I couldn't bring myself to throw $30 on the book I came for, when I am going to have a library card in probably a few weeks. :lol:
But it was really good, and funny. And violent. :XD

Hmm. I'm still not sure about those books. Perhaps after I've read the original classics, I might read them.

Also, I whole-heartedly suggest that anyone over the age of 13 (for mild sexual references, nothing graphic, mind you) read Hector and the Search for Happiness by Francis Lelord. It is an excellent book about a mild-mannered psychiatrist who realizes that he doesn't know how to make people happy with their lives, and embarks on a journey to find out what makes life happy. It's a pretty quick read, and is simple in writing, but the lessons in happiness in the book are really something else. It's things we all knew when we were 5, and have since forgotten, in some cases, and in others, it's things that take a lifetime to learn.

Well worth anyone's time, I think. Oh, and it is fiction. :3

I remember Pride & Prejudice & Zombies!
I never really could get into the original P&P, something about Austen's writing just doesn't usually click with me stylistically. But once you added zombies... I couldn't put it down.

Hmmm... I read books all the time so maybe I will give this a go. I'll check my nook color for the books I have yet to read on it and add it to my list now.

I'm actually in the middle of some of them now. I tend to get bored with a book if it's not engaging enough and then I switch genres and go oback to it later.

So I don't know about you guys, but I'm finishing up class this week and will finally have the time to start reading for leisure again! I've got such a pile of books in my room, it's a little ridiculous. I can't wait to dive in to them. :lol:

Yeah, I'm looking forward to free time over the Christmas break too. I got a Kindle for my birthday so Dracula has been distracting me from my revision all week. >.<

Good choice of effective distraction~! :D

I've got 100+ books out from the library right now... >_>;;
After next week being the week of finals I'll actually have more time to read! :D
I really can't wait.
And I can't wait to give my boyfriend his christmas stuff, including a book. I had to cut down on getting him more books since he's swimming in the series I've given him to read... <3
I'm going to try to get him a kindle for either his birthday or xmas next year.
Also, did anyone know they made a super-big kindle that's magazine sized???
I saw it at best buy and almost squeed out loud!

I'm crossing my fingers for a Kindle this year for Christmas. I'm really starting to appreciate that I don't have any more physical space to store books. Both my house and my parents' house are filled with my library, stretching out over several rooms. Even if I had more bookshelves, there wouldn't be any place to put them. :lol:

Knerd- I'm in the same boat. Only, my collection is swamping my room, the basement, the garage, and part of our storage unit. ^^;;
I am slowly going through and giving away some of my kids books, and going to take all my nat. geo. magazines to half price books, which will clear up two or three tubs.

And, three more books and I'm halfway to my goal, at which point I'll post an update. :3

Hey guys! I need to read 12 more books to make 50 by the end of the year and I am going to do it! I'm so determined. I've decided that I should use my winter break to read instead of sleep. :roll: Also, I need to update my list. Badly.

I just finished reading The Hunger Games trilogy and rereading the first three books of the Inheritance Cycle. Right now I'm working on the fourth and final. I'm so excited and nervous to find out what happens to everyone!
Anyway, the first two books were enjoyable reads, but not as nearly as good as I remembered them being, which made me kind of sad, because they were some of my favorites. :no: But I loved the third one, and am feeling the same way about the fourth one. Christopher Paolini's writing definitely improved in leaps and bounds from one book to the next. :yes:

I should re-read those as well...
Currently am cataloging my own personal library, for the first time. >_>;; I have a feeling it's going to take quite some time.

Anyhow, I've managed to get to my personal halfway point, reading-wise!

That's a good idea! How are you going about doing that, Skrae? :)
A lot of the titles on your list are really interesting! I'll have to look them up. And how did you like Graveminder? I haven't decided whether or not I ought to give it a go.

I got Scaramouche, War and Peace, and The Lost Stories. :yes: I'm really looking forward to reading Scaramouche! And I got some money to Barnes and Noble, so that will result in some books, I am sure.

I gave my mom Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal, the seventeenth Stephanie Plum book, I got my dad (who hates reading) The Road, I got my sister A Thousand Splendid Suns, my brother got Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, I gave my best friend Wildwood Dancing, and I got my oma the first four books in A Song of Ice and Fire. Gotta love using Christmas to spread around a love of books!

Kat- Any ideas for what you're going to get with the giftcard? :)

I'm keeping an eye on the Kindle sale but I'd like to get the rest of the George Smiley novels by Le Carré at some point.
