I can't say that I've ever heard of those series! Hopefully they're good, though.

Well...I've increased my challenge to 100 books. From the looks of it, I just might make it; I've already read 85.

I don't think I will make 50 books this year. ;( I started school again and haven't had time to do any reading since.
Besides my text books, of course. I have a few weeks before my trial ends but I have two exams Monday and then I'll have to get caught up on all the homework I have been putting off for studying
I am going to update my list probably next weekend and do my final tally for this year and recreate my list.
I can add Harry Potter books 1-4 to it because I ended up retreading those. Then school started when I got to book number 5.
I think I will space the list out differently. I will list the one son my Kindle that I still haven't read but I think I will space them out better with books I know I will read. :s

It's been so long since I've been around to Menewsha I had the "New Meat" message at the top of my screen. ._. But! When I finish the book I've been nursing along on trips to the laundromat I will start a 50 Books Challenge that will run from Dec to Dec. What I need to do is invest in a Kindle -- I think it's the only way I will actually read fiction any time soon.

A while ago, I downgraded my 50 book challenge to a 30, but I don't think I'm going to make that, either. I don't even know if I can make it to 25! College has consumed my life and I haven't learned how to juggle everything yet. @ [email protected]
On a more positive note, the other day I got a really interesting looking book for $0.25, and it's like new!

It's been a while since I've been around here! I need to update my list in this thread, gosh. I'm more than ten books behind on updating it.
On the downside, I don't think I'm going to make 50 books this year, I'm only at 26 right now. If I counted all the essays and articles and textbook chapters and short stories I read for school, I might be sort of on track, but alas!

Ive been in dime novels right now. Although, I do still love Teen Supernatural Fiction.
The Darkest Corner is a thriller though.
so I like a wide variety. Although, if I want to be a writer, i'd go for Supernatural Horror.

Ugh. Teen Supernatural Fiction tends to turn into 'oh he's so gorgeous and perfect and gush gush gush gush' >.<
Or maybe a certain vampire series ruined it for me...any good recs? I've been meaning to get back into teen fiction.
Hmm, only a few thrillers on my shelf. Most of em are crime dramas.

I did read This Witch For Hire. Which was actually pretty cool, and it does sorta go into crime but its definitely a teen supernatural series. or a young adult or however you want to say it. Ive been meaning to try to get into James Patterson's witch and wizards series.

I've always heard it as young adult...kinda the blanket category for everything. I've heard of the Patterson stuff, never got into it though. Last thing in that genre I read was Amelia Atwater-Rhodes's shapeshifter books. Hawksong and the like. They were pretty spiffy (and managed to do romance without making me sick).

I loved the Hunger Games (dat series ending...oh-boy)! You more of a Peeta person or a Gale person? Personally, I found them both a bit lacking. Peeta was obnoxious and Gale went from sensible to vengeance nutter. They do get points for Liam Hemsworth playing Gale in the film adaptation though. Mmmm. That is a nice piece of man.

Honestly. I found them both lacking as well, and they both represent the opposite side of the male spectrums. Gale being moody and broading, and Peeta being totally innocent. And the fact that a strong women like Katniss needing one extreme or the other. I dunno. Im not much of a male lover.

Ditto. I might have enjoyed them if they'd been more dynamic. What little development there was with the two of them was largely ridiculous and did nothing to chip at their flaws (and the fact that they seemed to exist for the sole purpose of giving Katniss a male crutch and adding pointless drama) >.< As far as I'm concerned, romantic interests ought to be a spice, not the main course.
