I do, but I fell out with them, I was treated so rudely by a member of staff (i'm not one of those people whose easily offended etc) over a fine which I did not accrue, (I had physical evidence). She was verging on being aggressive with me. I am still a huge support of libraries I believe they are a wonderful thing. But I will not go to that library again. I told them when I paid the fine that they should consider it a donation because I didn't accrue it and they;d lost my patronage. I still support the library in the town next to mine. I am hoping that when I learn to drive I can visit there much more easily and more cheaply.

Shadami 10-11-2016 09:39 PM

that is outrageous. . . i wouldn't go back either. i don't know what happened at my local library growing up but my parents refused to go. always making us drive the town over.

Eastriel 10-12-2016 06:17 AM

Maybe the evil cow librarian was there before xD - NaNoWriMo horror story much?

Shadami 10-12-2016 07:11 PM

oh please no horror stories. xD

Eastriel 10-12-2016 07:25 PM

I hate horror! xD

Shadami 10-12-2016 09:51 PM

well good. no even real horror stories like the curse of the bad librarian or anything... which. ... coincedentally would probably make a really good book title...

ClockReject 10-13-2016 12:55 AM

//pops in

hm, according to Goodreads I'm at 73/50 books read this year \o/

Eastriel 10-13-2016 06:06 AM

Shadami - it'd make a great b movie!

Clockie - well done!!!

Shadami 10-16-2016 02:22 AM

If its a horror movie. i'm definetly out xD

Eastriel 10-16-2016 08:06 AM

Neither am I, I do want to read some Stephen King though, not his full on horror but his more dystopian physiological stuff.

I don't do horror either. ^^;

Eastriel 10-16-2016 02:22 PM

I'm glad I have fellow horror haters. Halloween can be a nightmare for me. I really do think that there should be limits on the kinds of horror images that people are allowed to share on social media. They can be effing triggering.

zigbigadorlube 10-16-2016 07:13 PM

Ah, fortunately I haven't seen many scary things on social media but yeah, I'm a chicken. XD

Eastriel 10-17-2016 09:20 AM

I have, an I have an anxiety disorder, so its really not fun xD

TaiyoTsuki 10-19-2016 07:14 PM

I'm not a huge fan of horror myself :/. Never have been; when I was younger it was an easily-scared thing. Now it's not so much that as...bad acting, terribly predictable, and the whole genre is overdone. Eugh...

Connielass 10-20-2016 12:47 AM

Yay! More people like me! I hate horror. Watched too many movies when I was too young to be watching, and growing up with Asian ghost stories.. gave me a very healthy sense of the supernatural.

Eastriel 10-20-2016 04:58 AM

I don't mind thrillers, I feel thrillers are like the well constructed horror. Like it can give you a scare and make you tense without showing you traumatising images.

TaiyoTsuki 10-20-2016 08:10 PM

The closest I'll get to a "horror" film is Haunted Mansion...though that's more of a comedy, I think [XD].

Shadami 10-20-2016 09:34 PM

I've somehow not encountered the horrifying images yet this year. hoping it stays that way.

does anyone else not feel like its October yet?

finished another book. The last two i read were 87th precinct books. and they're very old written with language I don't care to use. and quite a bit of racism and sexism. They were really hard to get through. i wouldn't suggest them unless you're really low on murder mysteries to read.

TaiyoTsuki 10-20-2016 09:42 PM

Noted.

And I may be putting my challenge on hold next month. Again. Ah, NaNo times again XD

Eastriel 10-21-2016 01:09 PM

Im just trying to read regularly which isnt going too well xD

Connielass 10-22-2016 04:47 AM

Yeah.. about the only time I really get any time at all to read is during breaks at work. But not much reading can happen there when you've only got 15 minutes and you need those precious minutes to stuff your face as much as possible for the next three hours.

Eastriel 10-22-2016 11:31 AM

Yeah I hear ya on that, there never seems to be enough hours in the day!

TaiyoTsuki 10-24-2016 08:22 PM

I don't bring books to work anymore. Someone spilled soda on one of the books I was reading, and someone else tried walking out with another. So, no books at work for me.

Eastriel 10-25-2016 07:32 AM

I'd keep it in my bag then if its touched its theft C:
