Should I have shortened the list?
Dxx

I'll cut off the last few, I'm sorry I went over fifty! I just wanted to fill out the list.
T-T

And it is such a good book.
Strange, because at the Dymocks bookstore nearest to me, there are heaps left-over!
I adore the Inheritance series though, Murtagh's my favourite character; don't ask why.
x3

`Kitami 09-28-2008 07:04 AM

Ooh it can be more than 50. :yes:

You can have like, a 100 book challenge or....or a 200 book challenge! :insane:
Wow....that would be crazy tough for me to do. XD;

Aww, really?
That's awesome. Here there are none, nowhere. XD
I love those books. I can read them like so many times and not get bored. My grandma doesn't understand how I do that. xD
Murtagh is my favorite character too. x3

Aranel 09-28-2008 07:10 AM

I'm sure you could!
It's just a matter of finding some good books.
Mind you, a few of those books on my list weren't all that enjoyable.
=/

Same here!
They're the kind of books that can keep you interested no matter how many times you read.

Murtagh=FTW.

`Kitami 09-28-2008 07:23 AM

I don't have access to a library though, so all the books I read I have to buy. XD;

He needs a fanclub or something, no? x]

Aranel 09-28-2008 07:26 AM

Oh all those books on the list are mine.
LOL, I had to get them all off of the bookshelf behind me to find out who wrote them.
xDD
I think I pulled a muscle in my arm somewhere.
._____.;;;

Fo' sho!

@Aranel: Your list is fine. :yes:

If you read through books quickly, just set a higher goal for yourself. 200 might be good, or 250 if you really want to push yourself.
It's your choice whether or not you want to list everything here, but you're allowed to post all of your books as long as it stays within the same post. You can't just start that list and then re-post everything again in a few pages, for example.

As for rereading books: With my own list, I have a little system where I'll put "**" after a book if it's a reread or if I've gone through it more than once in a year. Maybe you could do something like that? It might be easier to keep track of than putting the books two or more times on the same list.

Aranel 09-29-2008 12:46 AM

That's a very good idea, Knerd!
I'll just have to write down what page of the thread this is on for when I need to add more books, huh?

I think I'll set the bar at 100 for now.
=3
I don't want to make it too difficult.
x3

Knerd 09-29-2008 01:29 AM

I've added your post to the mega-list on the front page of this thread.
Anytime you want to find your book list, just click on your name. :yes:

Aranel 09-29-2008 01:34 AM

Oh cool!
Thanks Knerd.

Lura Crane 09-29-2008 03:20 AM

I'm guessing you liked reading the Septimus Heap books?
I started Flyte a long long while ago, and still haven't picked it up again ( XD; )
but I was about your thoughts on the series? @[email protected]

Aranel 09-29-2008 03:37 AM

Oh yeah, I adore them!

I loved the series, but I thought there were a few areas that were a bit slow. Quite a few times where I was considering putting the book down and reading something else, but I kept going and it was worth it.
^^

Lura Crane 09-29-2008 04:17 AM

Thanks. ^ ^
I really should pick back up on it then, huh? XD

Kinda forgot some of what happened though, so maybe I should restart from the beginning~
When did Queste come out? 8O

Aranel 09-29-2008 04:21 AM

For sure, they're really good reads.

It'd probably be best, some parts are pretty fuzzy for me myself, so I'm thinking about re-reading the books I have so far again.

I'm not entirely sure, but I know my mum bought it for me a few months or so ago.
O.o

Lura Crane 09-29-2008 04:41 AM

Haha~
I admit that I bought Magyk mainly because I liked the cover and needed a new book to read. XD
But I'm glad I did cuz I liked the first book. ^ ^

Aranel 09-29-2008 04:44 AM

Hehe, one of the main reasons I bought it too. I've got Magyk, Flyte, Physik and Queste in hardback, and they're so cool!
-squees-

Lura Crane 09-29-2008 05:18 AM

! XD

Paperback for me~
Though I didn't realize until later that hardback was probably a better choice,
they're so thick, haha. XD;

Aranel 09-29-2008 05:29 AM

Ah well, at least you've got some copies of it right?
They were really thick though, I think I had cramps in my hands after finishing them.
xD

Lura Crane 09-29-2008 05:38 AM

I think I have just Magyk and Flyte for now, both paperback?
The bookstore always has them in stock though, so I can pretty go whenever to get the rest, haha~

I always read the books in bed before going to sleep, so my arms would get numb fast. XD;

Aranel 09-29-2008 05:57 AM

Ooh!
You gotta go get the next two; they're really good!
=D

Yowch, that's the worst time to read heavy books.
I'm surprised your arms didn't fall off.
xDD

Lura Crane 09-29-2008 06:41 AM

Haha, yes, so I end up turning and switching sides a lot when I read like that. XD
I could of course, just get up and read more comfortably,
but I figure having my arms get tired would make me more likely to fall asleep,
since I shouldn't be staying up that late to read anyway. XDD;

Aranel 09-29-2008 07:23 AM

Very true.
xDD

I get in trouble for staying up too late when I read as well.
My parents don't usually read, so they don't understand how addictive it is.
=3

Cherry Who? 09-29-2008 03:16 PM

I actually read more comfortably when lying down. I can't really explain how I do it, though. It's sort of hard to describe, not to mention that I don't really recall. Normally I'm more focused on the book rather than how I'm holding it. xD

`Kitami 09-29-2008 05:33 PM

I always read laying down, and half the time I'm actually in some awkward position (like laying on one of my arms or something) so I have to stop reading like every 10 minutes or so and shake my hand or arm to wake it back up. xD;

But I swear that's the only way I'm comfortable when I read...

Its really hard to explain to my parents and the rest of my family because I'm like the only one in my family who reads more than once in a while....
I'm like addicted to reading while everyone else is like "reading....eh..." D:

Knerd 09-29-2008 06:31 PM

I usually sit at my desk when I read. My chair leans back, so I prop my legs up on my bed's rungs and just curl up. It's pretty comfy, if I do say so.

Lura Crane 09-29-2008 07:36 PM

Reading in deep sofas is comfy too, hehe~
I think my legs get restless or something though
because I'll just randomly stretch my legs out, or bring them in to curl into the book.. or something. XD;
