A respirator might help or a gas mask... XD haha.
Yeah, I hate when you have to work with sick people...
I always take zinc and stay away from them. Lol.

FeyonaSaibre 01-22-2009 05:22 PM

I don't really like when people come to work sick... then again I can't really complain about it because I generally go to work unless i'm on my death bed... >.>;;

Thoth Star 01-22-2009 05:32 PM

No one can afford to take time off work anymore... Sick or not.
I'm the same way but I almost never get sicks... In fact, I usually go a couple yrs between every illness I've ever had. I think its cuz my immune system is soo strong...

jecynecy 01-22-2009 06:15 PM

Yea. It is almost impossible to take a day off work anymore. Everything is getting so expensive. I go to work when I'm sick too, unless I have a fever., then I stay home so I down get anyone else sick.

Thoth Star 01-22-2009 06:23 PM

Yeah, its hard to work with a fever or migraine... or flu for that matter.

jecynecy 01-22-2009 06:24 PM

migraines.....*shudders* those are never good for me. I practically shut down if i get one.

Thoth Star 01-22-2009 06:28 PM

They're usually a response to an allergic reaction, jecy...
I used to get them when I ate wheat... but now I don't eat it, so I'm ok.

jecynecy 01-22-2009 06:31 PM

I don't have any allergies that I know of. Maybe pollen.....

Bilbo 01-22-2009 06:37 PM

My girlfriend thinks she might have allergies, which are contributing to her migraines. jecy, you might want to talk to your doctor about taking an allergy test to see if they are caused by something--that's what my girl is planning on doing.

Queen_Andais 01-22-2009 06:39 PM

The allergy testing was the worst! Never did figure what was wrong with me, just don't take Ibuprofen or eat Del Taco anymore.
Used to pop Ibuprofen like they were candy for headaches and whatever else ailed me. Now it's tylenol only.

jecynecy 01-22-2009 07:13 PM

I'm too worried about them yet. They are very rare for me thankfully.

Queen_Andais 01-22-2009 07:16 PM

Any issues with your eyes? Migraines can be indicative of failing eye sight and it might be time to schedule that much needed eye exam. Since I've gotten my contacts, life has been much better for me. It's only been six months since my last eye appointment, but seriously think that I might need a different prescription already. Ugh.

jecynecy 01-22-2009 07:17 PM

Nope 20/20 :D

Guivre 01-22-2009 08:01 PM

I was really big on Ibuprofin also -- I loved how it just made pain go away, lol. But it can really mess up your system on several levels. :/ So now, I just use a little tylenol if I have to.

Thoth Star 01-22-2009 08:08 PM

I think everyone should take an allergy test... just so they know.

Ibuprofin kills the kidneys... x--------x Its bad stuff.

Queen_Andais 01-22-2009 09:05 PM

Lots of stuff that is suppose to help us, usually causes some other bad stuff to happen in our bodies. Next time you are prescribed something, go to Drugs.com, type in the name of the medication and it will tell you everything you wanted or did not want to know about the medication.

Lokis 01-22-2009 09:16 PM

Queen_Andais I love your sig!

FeyonaSaibre 01-22-2009 09:25 PM

Ibuprofen only kills your kidneys if you take too MUCH of it.

Queen_Andais 01-22-2009 09:28 PM

Thanks Phoenix. Perhaps I should make a sign that goes around my neck like in 28 days with Sandra Bullock with my signature saying on it, so people won't be so shocked when random stuff comes pouring out of my mouth. And it would help clear up confusion on other people's parts when they wonder why it was said.
Thankfully my family and boyfriend are quite used to it and most of my friends think it's one of my best assets.

Guivre 01-22-2009 09:52 PM

It really is a fun sig --

@Fey -- Gosh, don't lecture me like I don't know what I'm talking about when it's you who doesn't do research and assumes. You really do need to stop talking about stuff you don't know about. Ibuprofen CAN mess up your kidneys even if you take the normal amount. It also is as good at birth control as the rhythm method, lol. But that does clear up as soon as you stop taking it.

Do you ever actually read the warnings that come along with medication?

Too much of something = overdose. And don't confuse kidneys with liver also.

Here is a good report in PDF for the curious.

Hey Guivre,
you never explained to me your reasoning behind your Visitor Message to me. If you didn't get my private message, here it is:

I won't necessarily think anything negative about the person who made it or anything.

Telling someone about a mistake they made that isn't a typo or apparently purposeful is like telling someone their tag is showing out of their shirt, or there's tissue stuck to their shoe.

Would you please answer? Either here or in a PM, it doesn't matter, I just want your opinion. I hate to offend.

Queen_Andais 01-22-2009 10:28 PM

Aspirin can be just as bad for you as Ibuprofen, even the smallest amounts thin out your blood and for some people that spells t-r-o-u-b-l-e.

DeLish 01-23-2009 06:57 AM

I typically just sleep headaches off. I find that rest typically does the trick. If it doesn't, then I resort to Motrin, Aspirin, Advil, or Tylenol. I'm not really loyal to either.

Bilbo 01-23-2009 06:50 PM

When I have a headache, I try to drink more water and lie down, but will resort to pain meds in a rather short amount of time because I'm a big baby. It really doesn't matter to me what brand, they all work the same for me.
