Seriously. If I could only afford to have a real, true medieval outfit made for me...

Connie, I had to buy all the pieces, and it's in peasant-style, but I go to Renaissance Faires, so have an outfit. Hopefully soon I'll be able to afford a second, fancier outfit.

So I'm curious as to which other adults in here like swings just like me or think about this "story / rule".
I heard from someone else on another avatar community that they got told to get off the swings at their nearby park because they were for kids only.
Wtf, since when did swings have an age limit? D: I love swings! <333

That's terrible. I hate it when assholes do things like that. I mean for one thing, do they seriously hire people to sit there and monitor public parks now and tell people what to do? That is just sad. I can understand certain things, like if something has a weight limit or something, or certain places where it would be odd for an adult to be playing, but swings are one thing I would think would be appropriate for anyone. I mean, plenty of adults have things like porch swings at their houses and stuff. I have not been on a swing in quite a while, but I remember I used to go on them in high school when I was at a school that was all grades and had a playground. Everyone liked going on the swings and people ended up having to sit around and wait for other people to get off them. I think at one point they didn't want the high school kids to go on them because they were goofing off on them, I was too admittedly, I'd swing upside down or standing up and they didn't really like us to do that. But eventually they gave up trying to keep us off the swings anyway. But if someone is swinging normally like they're supposed to there should be no rule against it.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one upset about that.
I would be heartbroken if I was told I couldn't go on a swing just because I am not a little child. I don't think swings should have an age limit.
I mean, giving the swing up for a younger little kid is one thing, cause the little kid wants to have their turn on the swing. That's being polite.

I like swings, too. I haven't been on them in a while, though.
It seems silly to tell someone to get off them unless a line was forming, however.

Nope, it was just them and a few friends, which each of them had enough swings to sit on or just stood around. So I don't see why age would matter really. @[email protected];;;

Right! Why fuss over someone using what is available?
I am glad that the little park behind my house is quiet so that I can usually have it to myself.

Ooh, so lucky.
I would love to have a little park by our house to go and swing on the swings.

They are the rubber strap swings that kind of pinch your hips, though, that it has.

Oh, I don't like those ones. XD;
I like the ones I used to ride on back in elementary school. They hung from chains, not really sure what the main seat was made out of though.

When I was in elementary school the school swing seats were of wood.

The only down side to the rubber material was in the summer when they would get so hot. xD
