Well you don't exactly see it like a tornado, its like a big windy thunder storm. Of course when the eye hits you can prance about outside for a few minutes...I did.

I think thats a good thing, while being beautiful hurricanes are swirling vortexes of doom.

Yeah. They don't happen often in England at all, I think they're predicted to hit once every 300 years. The last one devestated the south...although the surfers still rode the waves on the tail end :P

A tornado hit the midlands a couple of years ago.

But I live in the north and the worst I've ever seen is my city underwater. It's not wise to build in a valley with five rivers coming in and only 1 going out.

But what hits us doesn't really cause much damage, it just suprises us because of the fact that they're so rare.

So why don't you buy the items viki wants with stars and viki buy the items you want with tokens and trade the items?

I never knew England had such bad weather. I figured it was just rainy and cloudy at worst.

Yeah we get tornados and hurricanes, not often though, and they don't do much damage really. This is probably why people don't realise:
English Tornado:

American Tornado:

I didn't think England had hurricanes at all, because most hurricanes start off the coast of Africa and make their way to the southern United States. Tornadoes seem to happen just about everywhere though.

I don't know how hurricanes form, only that the south is the only place that's ever been at risk from them. They don't happen anywhere else in the UK as far as my knowledge goes, and it is only like once every 300 years. *shrugs* Our last one was a while back, not sure how long ago, and I only know that because someone said England doesn't have them. So I googled it :P

As for the tornados, the American one is an "F5" the english one...is well... English. We have no concept of types of tornados. Only that it's a swirling vortex of doom and needs photographing!

*loves photos of birmingham being destroyed* ... by destroyed I mean roofs. Very little else is damaged. Roofs, cars and gardens. The houses themselves are mostly ok.

They are called hurricanes. See the guardian (newspaper) http://www.guardian.co.uk/fromthearc...923358,00.html Not entirely sure if they're true hurricanes, but they're certainly called hurricanes.

I know that's a tornado. I was talking to one person about tornados and one about hurricanes >_<

Global warming isn't the cause of these things, they've been happening long before global warming and they'll happen long after it's finished. Global warming just makes things a little worse. The main effect of global warming on England is the shift in the gulf stream making the country colder.
