I speak both languages actually I just don't type them, I have grandmas cookbooks and I can muddle through them well enough to use them though, She was Finnish, grandad was the Swede. To type I have to use a translator, and sometimes I dont put the right word where I need to But I try. I still have Kin over there as well they get a huge kick im Im's when I try to talk to them.

Yeesh I understand mis-pronouncing words, my little cousins get a kick out of it every time I try to read them a german story....

My accent isnt too bad but I LOL you should here them correct me or see them correct me all the time its a huge enjoyment for them. Too bad I wasnt there or Id rough them up like when we were kids!

Oh well it's probably very funny if one is fluent in a language and watching another flounder around.
I don't even speak german, they thought it was funny because I made the words sound so odd... |
I dont speak German Either I can muddle though few words is all, I tried to learn it but speaking and writing it as with many languages is so different, maybe I should try to read it and speak it at the same time I might have a better success rate.

I kind of stick with the dead languages so I don't have to speak it...

I am good. I haven't been on here much this weekend so I have alot of catching up to do.

I have a lot of catching up too Rue. My internet at home is STILL not right, and I'm starting to get irritated with it. Although I almost have my roomies convinced to add my name to the cable contract so I can talk to them about getting a new modem and having them come in and install it and all. |
Most of my net issues I can fix unless its the carrier, as for the rest of it or power loss, our carrier can be a royal pain some times though!

Ugh, that's terrible. I'm pretty sure our issue is that the modem we are using was given to one of my roommates about 5 years ago, already used; it's not from the cable company. I am hoping that gettig one of THEIR modems will make a difference. |
It should mines 5 years old now and they said it didnt need replaced when I had them come out & upgrade me. The cable/net/phone company said it could be the routers and hub so we replaced them. All fine 98% of the time.

That definitely has something to do with it. Especially if you are wireless and they are not. Even still, our router is about that old and it's starting to give us problems.

Well, we are currently wired because my roommate's router isn't wireless. But when I try to set up my wireless router, it can't ever find a connection, even when the modem is working (and my router is only a year old). Whenever we call the cable company they say our connection on their end is fine...it's rather frustrating, especially with an event going on over at Zantarni!! But I'll have them out and at least look at things--it's worth a shot. |
I have two routers and a hub they last me about 18 months is all, I have a spare set waiting when I loose a port.

Agreed but I run a computer network, Am a networking technician, My networks 8 computers in my home office. So there is alot of traffic on my routers and hub.
