I doubt Gaia views Solia as a threat.

Gaia has too many great ideas, and not the kind of people in charge - imo - that can nurture them properly.

Gaia has been trying to deflate things because people were complaining about how expensive things were.

They got rid of the bots in fishing that were ruining the market, and they added the new body color tattoos.

Now people have another reason to sell stuff to get new stuff.

Wow, I come back and there has been a serious conversation about Gaia's downspiral into capitalism.

I haven't complained about anything ever.

The only prices I'm having an issue with, is the Native American Head dresses.
Those are wicked expensive to me.
I have enough to buy both, but I'm not getting them from the store if I can help it.
And the few people who are selling it, clearly don't know what the word discount or 1/3 off means.
Slow-paced little here and there of new changes is the best thing they can do.
I hope that eventually they are able to do enough that will enable them to bring it closer to the way it once was.
I'd honestly like to see that, since they don't appear to want to just give up on grubbing people's money.

Being a corporation now, they have nearly one hundred employees to pay and one hundred servers to power each month .

That is not cheap.

They may not get rid of all the spam, but they are trying to keep out the porn.

They are trying to improve the community, which is no small task.

I just wish them luck and wait to see what happens.

I think when they open up the battle system they will end up with a whole new set of problems to deal with.

I was at Gaia yesterday and yikes to the advertising!
So much of it... I wonder how much profit they're actually making!
